I've been here a couple of times for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed both experiences. The restaurant usually has some great specials and an impressive, rotating selection of east and west coast oysters. The servers are all well versed in the menu items, including the oyster selection, which is always a plus for me. Each time I've visited I ordered a few different oysters and have never been disappointed. You really cannot go wrong with what you order. The fritto misto appetizer is outstanding, perfect for 2-4 people. Also had to try the oysters Rockefeller which are always delicious. My first visit (NYE '26) they had octopus on their specials menu. I PRAY they bring it back because it was memorable, even 6 months later. My first visit I tried the barramundi which, at the time was a special menu item. It seems they added it to the Mains but with a different preparation. This time I tried the salmon which was excellent. If seafood's not your jam, they have plenty of menu items to choose from. In addition to the food, they also have great cocktails and a stellar looking happy hour menu I can't wait to try. I recommend making reservations, especially if you're visiting on a Friday or Saturday night. Both times I went here the restaurant was packed, particularly the bar area. My only real critique is that the restaurant gets a bit loud, making it a tad difficult to hear but it's also a sign that the place is doing consistently well. read more

Of course, I couldn't ignore the oyster specials. $1 oysters + discounted varieties ($1 discount on every type of oyster) Dangerous. I ordered a dozen and shamelessly took them all down myself Fresh, briny, and absolutely worth it. My friend went the "balance" route with the grain bowl and added shrimp, which looked just as good as it tasted. Everything we had was on point. Service deserves a shoutout. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing smoothly without hovering. My martini was perfectly made (strong but smooth), and the overall vibe was lively, energetic, but still perfect for catching up. The vibe really made the night. I do like this place, this is my second time here . Both experiences , the oysters were perfectly shucked, sweet , briny and super fresh. We live on an island , but for some reason it's hard to find good oysters here. They always deliver and from a variety of regions. However the lobster roll is pretty bad. This place is a gem! They have such a great Happy Hour special where the oysters start at $1. We ended up getting a total of 100 between 4 of us and it was so fresh, well shucked and really good. Paired so well with their delicious, creative cocktails. We also started with the Burrata. It was really delicious with the marinated vegetables on the side (and this is coming from someone that doesn't love burrata). I also got the Lobster Roll and subbed the chips for fries and removed the celery (I'm a lobster roll purist lol). Came on Thursday around 3:15pm for their happy hour special. We ordered 18 oysters for $18. We also got some drinks, fries, and baked oysters. The food was great. The oysters that were $1 were from Point Grom, they were ok, but I think I like the oysters from Maine better. I think the ones from Maine were $4 a piece. Our bartender was really attentive and made amazing drinks. I had some coconut pineapple mocktail and it was so refreshing and tasty! I prefer the oysters with just a bit of lemon & cocktail sauce. Not a big fan of the oil based sauce that it comes with. Their kitchen openes at 4pm. So they gave us food menus at 4pm, in addition to the fries and baked clams, we also got creme Brulee for dessert. I was a bit disappointed, because the dessert menu said creme brulee with berries. And we got a single strawberry on ours. I think the description is kind of misleading. Probably would go somewhere else for happy hour. Have always loved S&B as our go to oyster spot. I just had a baby and haven't been able to enjoy oysters for quite a while so we made a point to go for oyster week to try their oyster menu. We got there at 3:30 and by my own fault didn't realize they don't fully open until 4pm so we ended up at the bar with our stroller. We are lucky to have a great baby and he just slept for most of our time there. Where the staff at some places may have been rude about it, the bartender was so sweet and didn't make us feel badly at all! This was our first time really taking him out to a restaurant so we were very nervous about it. The oysters (as always) were fresh and delicious and they have the most delicious mignonette! We tried the fried oysters and the oyster flight off of the special oyster menu and everything was amazing. Off of the regular menu, the oysters Rockefeller and the le Tigre are both not to be missed. This is my new favorite restaurant in Bayshore! The Leche Tigre oysters are out of this world! My partner and I have raving about them ever since we tried them. Baked clams are also a must-- they are huge, well stuffed, and have great crab flavor. We also really liked the burger! The hook for us was a hankering for some fresh oysters and seeing that they had many varieties brought us right in. We sat outside under the heat lamps on a nice evening and enjoyed the fresh air. A chicken fingers platter for the little one and then the oysters came! Perfectly shucked and chilled we started with some great selections from Massachusetts and Maine- and went back for another round. We also had a half dozen little neck clams. Also perfectly chilled and well presented. Afterwards my soup and octopus appetizer came out and truly one of the best tasting and presented appetizers we could remember. A family member took me to Salt and barrel for a fun evening to get my mind off of things. My husband has been in the hospital for about two months now. Anyhow, we had such a nice time, the waitress was so nice and our dinner was good ....and lastly we ordered cappuccinos. We're waiting on our cappuccino's and the woman managing the restaurant area came to our table and said because they need the table and that we went beyond our hour and a half seating time (that we had no idea about) that they can't serve us a coffee, but they can give us a voucher for next time we're there. I don't know about any of you, but I have never in all of my 66 years experienced that. It's unfortunate that businesses get away with that but they do. One of the best meals we've ever had! We came here on a whim while exploring the area. Since it was 4PM we were able to get in without a reservation. Upon being seated you are handed a cocktail menu and an oyster bar menu. For the latter, you fill out how many of each type of oyster you would like to try. We decided to go with half a dozen as a starter but have already agreed to do a full dozen next time we visit. The oysters were fresh, served over ice, with cocktail sauce, lemons, and some other goodies. Each one was freshly shucked and flavorful. For cocktails I tried the midnight mass which was delicious and nutty. My partner tried a smoky cocktail that was the perfect balance of all the flavors. For entrees I had the scallops which were cooked to perfection and served with roasted brussels (so good!) and a celery root puree. My partner enjoyed a perfectly cooked filet mignon (no, really, it melts in your mouth) with a size of asparagus that was flavorful. Service was impeccable. Our waitress checked on us JUST enough without being annoying, while also making sure our drinks were full and our food was delicious. The prices are fair, especially since every day is oyster happy hour from 3-6PM. The cocktails might be the only part that appears to be pricey, however, they are well worth the cost. First, our drinks never came out, and we needed to remind the waiter about our drinks. Second, we ordered the octopus, but I didn't enjoy it as much because the sauce was overpowering on top of it. Maybe put the sauce on the side because I like my seafood to taste original at first. But the arugula salad was amazing. Third, the ring calamari was chewy, but the calamari sampler was delicious, and our kid couldn't stop eating it. Fourth, there is no kid menu. But other than that, the experience and the ambiance were terrific. A date night location indeed. Not kid-friendly. My fiancee and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary here. The place is very pretty and our waiter was very sweet. Since my fiancee wrote in the reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary we were given complimentary champagne, which was one of the best champagnes we've tasted. We really love when restaurants do this, it makes it special. I forgot the name of the cocktail we got but it was really good and refreshing. My fiancee and I shared the S&B egg sandwich and the short rib hash. We don't like dill so the short rib hash wasn't our favorite just for that reason but even so it was good.
