Placed an order online for pickup. When I arrived at the pickup time I was informed that they were out of several items including okra, baked potato, tilapia, tartar sauce, and even iced tea and that the grill was broken. This was at 6:30 on a Sunday evening. I ended up having to change my entire order and wait another 20 minutes. It's also a good thing I checked my revised order because they left out two items causing another delay. The food also had a strange aftertaste, like being cooked in old burnt grease. waited for 30 mins in line only to move up one in line when I got inside I had to wait an hour. I placed a mobile order 30 minutes prior, so in between that time they had an hour to make my food but nope I still had to wait an hour inside. these kids need a new manager. read more

Two stars is a mercy rating! While traveling though the area we opted to eat at Captain Ds. We avoided another location with 1.5 stars...lol. Arrived at 6:20 and paced an order. I then noticed a number of other customers waiting. These days I cut the service industry slack because there is a shortage of workers. Not the case here. There were 10 employees on staff and half of them were NOT working. 30 minutes later I walked out with my food. So much for fast food. The lady working the register was apologetic but the rest of the staff was rude and did not seem to care. Never going back! read more

Great fast food seafood option for this area. Always clean and great service. Very friendly staff. They actually care about you. I always get the seafood deluxe platter. A lot of fried seafood. So not really a healthy option here. Lol. I will come back again when I am in town. read more

Driving sure makes ya hungry! We were headed back to FL from GA, when that familiar growling hit us. How would YOU spell those sounds your stomach makes when you're hungry? Grxwhrzzpprrrrrr..... I was accompanied by my Fab Fem One and a friend on this voyage. We needed some good food but didn't have a whole lot of time for a sit down meal. We chose Captain D's. Funny, but my darling dear one and our friend had NEVER eaten at a Captain D's! Sounds fishy to me!!! LOL All three of us were really surprised at the prices! We felt they were quite reasonable and fair, especially once we got and tasted our food.... Me, I got the 3 piece Fish Dinner with coleslaw and corn on the cob for my sides. Fab One got the 12 piece Butterfly Shrimp Dinner, with baked potato and coleslaw. Our friend, who was visiting from California, she got the Lobster Bites, Fish & Shrimp Dinner, with broccoli and corn on the cob. We were laughing, munching and crunching, having a grand ol' time! The two Captain D newbies were really, really impressed with the taste and quality of their food. And that means a WHOLE LOT, since my Fine Fab One is a gourmet cook! She is very, very picky about her food... I must add that the Captain's Crew was EXCELLENT, too! From the lovely young First Mate that took our orders, to the D's Cooks, and the D's Sailor swabbing the deck(mopping and cleaning up the dining area!) I was looking for something quick but tasty. Decided to stop here and order the blackened tilapia, rice, mac & cheese, and baked potato. Let's just say it wasn't bad at all. I also ordered a single ordered of the battered dip fish. It was hot and fresh. The blackened tilapia was seasoned very well. My order was $13. Free parking is available. They have drive thru. The prices have increased and quality has decreased. We used to eat here for $20 and be stuffed. Today $32 and still hungry. Look at the pic. That catfish is 1/8" thick. I dont know how/who cuts so thin. Then so much breading made it 1/2" thick. Looks good til u bite into it. read more

I ordered 4 orders of cheese sticks and 4 orders of poppers. All I got was the cheese sticks. When I called back I talked to 3 people and felt like I was argued with. They said I the poppers were in the bag. I replied no all I got was the sticks. Now 30 minutes later I'm still waiting for them to look at the cameras .soooo now I'm being called a liar. So as of right now I've paid $50 for 4 orders of cheese sticks and a $6 tip. Ha. I placed my order online. read more

No signage that stated no sit down. Horrific thunder and lighting storm. The young black man was very rude after we was to to leave and we was packing up our child and food. Simply Amazing ! Made a pit stop from Georgia to florida and saw this place and decided to try it out. My friend and i ordered the catfish feast, jalapeño poppers, the sampler, funnel sticks and cheesecake and surprisingly alll the food i ordered was fresh and the wait wasnt long at all. Ended up spending $30 on food but it was well worth it ! :) highly recommend to seafood lovers . read more

We are always pleased with this Captain D's location. The food is hot and prepared perfectly. You can get reasonably healthy baked fish/chicken/shrimp meals with sides like corn on the cob, steamed broccoli, small side salad, baked potato and green beans. You can also choose the traditional battered and fried fish fillets with fries and cole slaw if you prefer. They also have an excellent catfish dinner. The drive thru, although worth the wait, is usually pretty slow. The staff is always polite and I've never had a problem with incorrect orders. read more
