I have not been to this location in over a year and now I remember why.... The food was absolutely disgusting! I waited approximately 20 min for shrimp that appeared to have been flattened before deep fried and pretty much burnt. The green beans had absolutely no flavor, the fries were cold and the "lemon pepper" fish was basically lemon pepper seasoning sprinkled on top of fish after it was cooked, thankfully I checked my order because they didn't give me my drinks and two items were missing. They were out of rice that came with my meal and they put my xtra side of green beans in a box that leaked through the box and bag. Just an overall horrible experience, I can't believe this location has not shut down yet. The owner apologizes however, no changes are made to the food or service. had Captain D's today, and it was absolutely horrible. I ordered the salmon, which was dry and crunchy at best, sitting on top of overcooked rice that had zero flavor. I asked for lemon pepper, but honestly, it tasted like no seasoning was used at all--any seasoning would have been better than what I got. The macaroni and cheese was one big blob, glued together with what tasted like cheap, imitation cheese--completely tasteless. The fried okra? Burnt black. Not crispy, not golden--just black. I read the reviews beforehand, and most were bad, but I gave it a chance anyway. That was my mistake. I strongly advise you not to go here. Tested dry I was charged $6.19 for two pieces of fish all because I didn't want French fries. The meal was 5.99. The new lobster roll was $6 for 3 pieces of lobster. This was a complete mess. This is definitely my final visit to this restaurant. I should have gone to the grocery store. The lobster roll looked nothing like that photo online. The bread was half the size of hot dog. This place is not good enough for 1 star. After waiting 20 min or more for food, we get it home and there is no shrimp like there was supposed to be. No tartar sauce. Fries were cooked to an almost burnt crisp. No hushpuppies. Those were replaced with some sort of roll. The green beans were too salty to eat. My husband ordered the ten piece meal and the family meal. All of the fish was stuffed into 2 boxes, mixed with the chicken. I couldn't tell what was chicken and what was fish. All of it was sweaty and soggy. The fish had a different texture to it. I am wondering if they didn't substitute the original fish with something else. Either way, nobody ate this mess. We paid 73 dollars for this trash and that's where it all went..in the TRASH. Will not be going back. I hate this because I used to love Captain D's. read more

The food reminds me a little of my time I spent in England, with the fish and chips they have. They do not advertise BEER BATTERED fish, I asked, because the beer gives it a special flavor. Their malt vinegar and tarter sauce is fantastic. The only reason for only 4 stars is the portions you could get a three pieces " hand dipped " dinner and one piece is a nice size and the other two are 1/2 the size. I don't know if the fish they get is cut to all different sizes, which doesn't seem likely, because if you went to another place and ordered a burger with 3 patties on it and one was the normal size but the other two were not equal to the one normal patties. You would wonder are they taking a normal patty and cutting it in half so you are only getting 2 patties when you paid for 3. I love Captain D's they disappeared for a long while and this place is new so they might not have hit their fully trained and staffing yet. I will be back as it is the closest to my fish n chips I got in England. read more

Ordered my food at 8:44 at 9:10 I ask how long will it be. My was done just sitting on the counter under the light with other orders. Food is now cold. I asked for tarter sauce was told they had to make some. I then asked for a refund was told I have to come back another day, there wasn't a manager on duty to give me a refund. Captain D's was our favorite place but this place is horrible. The fish was cool, tough and very greasy. The okra was way undercooked and mushy. The fries were gooey and very greasy as well. Let's talk Captain Ds on Fry & 529! We just came by with my family ordered a family meal and 2 chicken sandwhiches (combos) Food came out. They only brought us fish, chicken tenders, fries, and Mac and cheese. Cashier said they were making butterfly shrimp and will bring the rest out shortly (she goes to break right after) We sit down and eat our food and I tell my husband to please go check on the rest of the food. So he goes they bring out the butterfly shrimp & 1 sandwhich. We ask about the second sandwich and the managerrrr ELIOT! Sends another cashier to tell us that all day they've been having issues with people saying they didn't get their food and they have. So they're not gonna make us another one. Pretty much insinuating that they had given us the sandwhich and were trying to get another one for free. My husband starts looking around to see if they have cameras because they can't be foreal. I approached the register and ask for a refund and start talking to the manager who's in the kitchen currently cooking. This woman ignores me the whole time! I ask for her name, a refund. I mean something because what a wild thing to say over a freaking $6 sandwhich. At this point I'm pissed because how unprofessional of her to send someone to say that!! I ask for a refund yet again and nothing. Cashier who was the messenger says time has passed and they can't give me a refund. Then the manager speaks to her just her and tells her to tell me they're gonna make the sandwich. Luckily the girl who was our cashier walks in and I explain to her what's going on and sure enough she backs us up, we get our sandwhich remade and an extra to go for the inconvenience!!
