Much more expensive than I imagined, with Maine lobster being caught locally and location being in a small town, $28 is steep for a sandwich. But the delicious fries that accompany it, offsets the price a bit. The salt and vinegar fries are loaded with flavor, not just a seasoning but they taste marinated! The sweet potato fries were good too and they give a generous amount of them. The lobster rolls are more than just a sandwich, I don't mean to down play. In fact they are one of the best I've tried, fair portion but meat is not pushed down into the roll so it gives a loaded appearance. read more

I heard about this place from the Bridgton Food Truck Park Facebook page. It's sounds like it's been around a while but I never heard of it . On This Saturday there was only this food truck there. In my opinion the food is average . I was surprised as it says that they have been on food network ?! I had a cup of lobster stew $12 . It is exactly one cup like as in a one cup measuring cup and it had 3-4 small pieces of Lobster meat. Also had a small haddock chunks $8 . They offer many items including lobster pizza and fried items .lots of people ordering lobster rolls. Those were priced on higher side15 min wait . Not enough tables . Give them a t. We saw the food trucks and stopped in for dinner! We went to the seafood truck and noticed that a lobster roll was 28 dollars so we went to the other food truck that was more casual. We ordered the fried pickle fries, Pizza, and Poutine. The price was pretty decent for the amount of food that you get! I enjoyed the fried pickles and the Big Mac pizza was pretty tasty! The poutine was good but very fake tasting. The gravy tasted like it came out of a bag and it didn't taste fresh at all. Other then that the food was really enjoyable! I also really wish that the drinks where bigger instead of the tiny cans :) bottles would be way better! But the food was good I would come back if in the area :) read more

Amazing hot pizza! The chicken bacon ranch was hearty and delicious. Onion pizza was piping hot and Devine. Loaded fries were cheesedly delicious. Outdoor seating is clean with sunny and shady spots. You won't regret stopping here. read more

Sorry to say that Mack's has gone south as far as their food goes. We are local and have enjoyed good fried clams for a couple of years but something has happened this year. After going for a third time this season after the corona issue when they opened, we have had nothing but poor quality overcooked food. I made the call to speak with the manager/owner? to let them know about the quality of their food. He would not make himself available, so here I am to say just stay away as the clams and onion rings were over cooked and tasted like they were fried in month old grease. Sorry won't be back anytime soon which is a shame they had a good start and letting it go. read more

Wow, I always looked forward to having fried clams at Mack's. First time I've been to the food truck. Got them today. The clams & fries came to $32! The clams were horrible, horrible, horrible!!!!! They were small & rubbery/chewy & I never had clams with the round bellies on them. They were disgusting & looked like they had poop in them. I will NOT be going back. I am revising my original review of Mack's place. After my second trip- it's clear I will no longer be visiting this establishment. This is a fairly new business, but it's not much different than the place that occupied this location prior (Lakes Region House of Pizza- multiple health code violations- forced to close until remedied). We came in on a Saturday night around 5:30pm. There were a fair amount of diners, the staff was moving around... Service was slow. We ordered drinks and then were ready to order our meals. We ordered Mozzarella Sticks, the Corn and Shrimp Chowder, the Steamers Appetizer, A burger, and the Baked Lobster Dinner. Mozzarella Sticks, and the Corn and Shrimp Chowder arrived first. The mozzarella sticks weren't hot, but the marinara sauce was PIPING! These were good, but typical frozen mozzarella sticks. Wasn't expecting much more. The Corn and Shrimp Chowder was tasty. I didn't have any shrimp, nor did I taste the essence of shrimp... the corn was good- and I liked the addition of some red peppers. It took a while before our main course arrived, kids getting a little restless... The server delivered our meals, we asked for Ketchup (not provided on the table??) and a refill of soda. The Baked Lobster dinner was okay... it's $20.99, and was only knuckle and claw. Here's a mystery for you... WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TAIL?? The restaurant advertises as having a state of the art lobster tank (but the waitress didn't know much about it other than it was fancy- and you can't see it from the restaurant...fishy) For $20.99 I expected that I would have a lobster... shelled and baked. The crab meat stuffing was soggy, I think they forgot to cook it in the wine and garlic like the menu stated. It came with Cole Slaw, a dinner roll (NO butter...) and a side of Sweet Potato Fries (which we had to pay extra for). I will say the lobster tasted good. It wasn't dried out, or fishy tasting... it was fresh... I just wonder.. what happened to the tail?? Reminded waitress again that we wanted ketchup.... Next.. the Steamers. This was part of my 11 year old's meal. It's one of her favorite foods when she visits family in RI, but she isn't the best at shelling them, so it took a minute. She got the hang of it...but immediately said they didn't taste good. I tried one, and they were okay. I don't think they were super fresh. The Burger... we ordered med-well, it came out med-rare at best. French fries were unimpressive. We decided to skip dessert. Asked for a box for the burger (the dog would be happy), Server brought the check.. and had to remind her again for the box. Maybe she was too busy?? Overall, if I could offer any advice to a new restaurant owner- you don't have to reinvent the wheel, but in these times- be DIFFERENT. Make fresh food that doesn't come from a freezer or microwave, impress your customers. WOW them. There are 48129849 places to get mozzarella sticks with marinara, why should I eat them at your establishment? At least try and work on plating the food so it's visually appealing. read more

I went there a couple times, once I had a good meal (I think it was a burger) but my daughter had the fried clams and they tasted like they had double cooked them, they were tough and not a good meal. I did get her to try out the calamari which was pretty good. The second time was a large group of us, about 6 adults and a 3 year old, the food was OK, they didn't kick us out when the 3 year old was overtired and cranky. Overall, it's an OK place, maybe I'll try the seafood again next time. read more

We love Mack's place! We now order our lobsters from here. They have a great menu and they never disappoint. Any lobster roll you get is packed full of fresh claw meat. We've gone during the summer and the winter...they are always consistent. Thank you Mack's! read more

Stopped for a quick lunch. It seems like they do most of their business via take out, but the waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the clam chowder and a salad. The chowder was perfectly seasoned and so good. The table next to me got haddock and lobster rolls, and they looked like generous portions. Prices are a little higher than I want for a mid-day lunch, but a special dinner out would be fine. Pizzas were reasonable for a family and I really want to try the Big Mac one. Placed an order tonight and made the mistake of ordering chicken wings They were burnt completely black in color and totally dry Could not eat them At $2.25 per wing it was not worth the price as these were not even edible In addition when we called to express our disappointment we were told "If you didn't like them don't order them next time " There won't be a next time! The service at this place is horrible. The waitress never came to our table at all to say anything. We sat there for 1/2 hour without any acknowledgment whatsoever. The restaurant wasn't full but we did watch other people who came in after us get drinks and their orders taken. We have visited Mack's Place several times since their opening. The seafood is wonderful with a variety of choices for breading (even a gluten-free option). The clam fritters on the appetizer menu took me back to childhood on the Cape. The steamers were awesome and not sandy at all! My husband loves the Fire Cracker Burger. The fries are crunchy and not soggy...I loved that! The business is family owned and operated and the staff is really friendly. Its an open concept dining room so very family friendly but don't expect privacy or intimate dining. I disagree with the 2-star below as I HATE ketchup on the table because its unsanitary and a million people touch it and it should be refrigerated. And unless I'm in a fish market, I don't want to see the lobster tank. They smell and its not appetizing in a dinner setting so thanks for having it in the back! There are tons of different options for everything they make, whether is spicy sauces, different rolls/bread for burgers and sandwiches and the desserts are fantastic! We expected a traditional pizza and sub shop and got a whole lot more...thankfully, so very different from what was there before. Keep up the good work and thanks for feeding the masses! read more

Mack's delivered good quality lobster, well steamed and not overcooked. The lobsters were served with melted butter but unfortunately no lemons. The fried clams were pretty good considering it was take out. The fried haddock dinner, however, was pretty tough. We ended up eating very little. Coleslaw disappointing. Didn't taste homemade. Staff very polite and friendly. No masks. Anywhere. Also disappointing but much more important. read more

I went back after COVID and was very disappointed with my fish and chips order. The vinegar for the fish and chips had been watered down. There was no salt and pepper on the table, none came when served. Unsalted chips? Never again. And the next time I saw the waitperson was when she brought us the bill. What a great place! We went here because their website mentioned they had gluton free options ... but not just one or two things ... virtually their whole menu can be made gluton free. They even have a dedicated fryer for GF foods. They offer a variety of burgers and seafood that is out of this world! I had their fried scallops (which I have missed since going GF) and they were simply amazing! The portions are huge, which meant I had a second meal out of the leftovers. I also enjoyed their GF fried pickles. I didn't have room for any dessert or the GF onion rings ... guess I'll have to go back and give those a try. I can't wait! With a small town family atmosphere, reasonable prices, and a friendly staff, we will be going back to enjoy Mack's Place again and again!! read more

So the wife had to have some fried clams. She gets wanting clams and nothing else will do. We stopped at Macs. We spilt a fisherman's platter... A little of everything. It was good! Clam bellies just the right size. Everything was very good. This places has the atmosphere of a school cafeteria but the food is very good. I'll go back this week and try it again. This place is amazing! I always get a burger on a GF roll. And if you request a GF meal, they take care not to cross-contaminate. The burgers are delicious! As well as the fries. Other members of my family have had the steak and cheese, lobster roll, and fries seafood dinners. We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. Check out their menu. THE BEST lobster roll in Bridgton hands down. I've tried the regular and the siracha, both were delicious. Also their fries are hand but REAL fries, not the freezer ones everyone else seems to use. And then to top it off-they are one of the cheaper ones this season, I believe $15.99 when other places were in the $20 range. The place itself has zero ambience, but could be good for kids.
