Our family of 12, to include a baby and toddler, stood around outside on the deck in sprinkling weather for almost an hour on a Sunday afternoon as we patiently waited for a table for which the hostess quoted a 40 minute wait. After such a time, we pressed and were given the very two tables that were sopping wet/right next to us that entire wait-- not only that, but we were then told that the two tables they were now designating for us were in different waitress' sections and therefore could not be pushed together when we attempted to do so. After being shamed by staff and patrons alike for trying to push those tables together, our family was told by the "volunteer hostess" that we "were given a 45 minute wait and actually waited 49 minutes," so she didn't see our problem. At that point, we saw red. We put our name down, waited, drank beer from the bar, satiated our kids so as not to disturb other patrons, and we were completely unaccommodated by this place. If they don't care about families, local or visiting, maybe they don't care about you, either. read more

The location is perfect for people watching at the marina. The deck is elevated with comfortable tables and umbrellas for shading. Often there is a nice breeze to help on warmer days.The staff is very friendly and efficient and the drinks are delicious! I've tried several apps and entrees and they've all been outstanding! The brussel sprouts and the crab cakes are definitely my favorite apps. Salads are made with quality ingredients and perfectly portioned for me. The parking can be a challenge on busy days, but it's a marina. I've been several times and won't hesitate to go again. read more

This was great- we had a good time. We ordered some buckets, those were great. We ordered some calamari, bang bang shrimp and chicken wings. Everything was tasty. The food came out quick! My shrimp and my husbands fish and chips were really good. Everything tasted fresh. Stopped in before a Bob Marley comedy show down the street for some early dinner. Seated on the deck and even though it was raining...no issues with the big cover. Great deck with the hi-top tables...and a wicked big tv to watch the Olympics. Our server, Kiki, quickly took our drink orders. She had a water with a Lime and I had an Arnold Palmer. Very good Arnold Palmer!! We both also ordered cups of Clam Chowder. Very good as well. For our meals, she ordered the Lobster roll (side of sweet potato fries) and I ordered the Blackened Shrimp Tacos. The Lobster roll was HUGE but a bit dry and a little overcooked. My Shrimp Tacos didn't really get blackened but were hit with a spice of something, well some of them were. They were good, just not Blackened. I'm a "local", but live in Texas now...I know good Blackened Shrimp...again, the tacos were good, just not blackened as the menu suggested. The Sweet Potato fries were great. The view from the deck is cool, probably more so on the other side towards the causeway. Our server Kiki was great and she earned a star here. Parking is easy in their large lot. Atmosphere was really upbeat, and staff was very friendly, the wait was about an hour in the evening but they allow you to hang out on the patio and order drinks while you wait so it went by pretty quickly. They also have live music, which was a great touch. read more

I hate to write bad reviews, but this one is warranted. First, let me say the service was great...our wait person was friendly and she was prompt with our drinks and food. On the other hand, I have to say that the food was pretty bad. Everything was over cooked and tasteless. The fried clams looked like they had been scraped from the bottom of the fryer...nothing but crumbs. My husband's fried haddock and our pot stickers were over cooked. The fries were tiny and tasteless. We had both regular and sweet potato fries. Sorry, but I will not be recommending this place to anyone. read more

Captain Jacks is sneaky good. Don't let the other reviews fool you. If you are looking for a good time, with good drinks and good pub style food, this is your spot. First, the new deck is awesome. Love the views of the lake. Secondly, the food is sneaky good. I wouldn't have expected the food to be as good as it was (for pub-style food) but it is. Don't go for upscale dining, but the place can dish out burgers, wings, nachos, etc. as good as any place in the area. Drinks were good. I thought they would be better. Great place to eat in Naples. Beautiful views and atmosphere. The calamari was cooked perfectly and they were generous lots of tentacles. Crab dip was delicious and spiced perfectly. Food took a long time! Sunday night of July 4th. The kitchen actually made the server bring us a burnt crab dip. We sent it back- are you kidding me? Take it off the broiler sooner. Took forever anyway. The table near us of 3 kids were so patient!! They waited forever for food. Servers were on point. Feel like it was the kitchen. Watermelon splash drink was delish. You would think they are use to crowds in the summer, however the kitchen pretty much sucked. Even the antipasto took forever we be out! I leave only 1 star for this establishment, not because of the food or service which both were great... but for the fact that they serve all their drinks in single use plastic cups. I noticed stacks and stacks of them at the bar. It's absolutely insane when you think about it the amount of plastic they must throw away every single day. There must be a better way. We went on a Tuesday and the place was packed. We were lucky to get a table quickly and even more lucky to have Heather as our waitress. She was quick, efficient, super friendly and most importantly steered me away from one of the specials. She said she had a couple complaints and didn't want me to be disappointed. Coming here during a dinner rush at the end of the summer on a Sunday with two toddlers was our fault. But given the season ending, it was our only feasible option for our group of 6. We waited a long while to be seated, we waited a long long while for our food and we wondered why we bothered. Our meals were all pretty subpar (or on par with lots of crappy chain restaurants) But the drinks were tasty. It's a large restaurant, so I imagine it is really challenging to manage (in terms of staff, expediting, etc etc) but just the same the staff was pretty unwelcoming and/or uninterested in our party. Unprofessional and too cool for us, specifically. The decor truly matches the attitude of the hosts and waitstaff here so, If you're wondering if this is your type Of place you'll probably know it as soon as you walk up to it. Other than being too packed on occasion the place is great!!! Right on the water, music many nights, and delicious meals!!! They make a crab dip that you can't stop eating it's soo good!!! Captain Jack's is a great spot. There is always a wait, but they really try to make it not so bad - and to sit outside and drink and listen to music, it's worth it. I wish there was an outdoor bar so people who aren't eating don't take up tables and can stay to listen to music. But the staff WORKS hard, the food is a tad pricy, but you get a LOT. Everytime I go I take home half. The bands they book are always fun. It's a great spot to hang out and enjoy summer evenings. read more

I used to love this place but today I got there about 1:45 pm. stood at the podium and the hostess walked away three times, and said she was busy, and she'd help us when she got settled. meanwhile there were 4 unbiased tables outside. we finally got a beeper and we're told to wait out on the declose. about an hour and ten minutes went by and I finally went back in and she said oh, I've been paging you for quite a while. pager never went off. we were finally led to our table only to sit another 10 minutes waiting for the server. meanwhile friends of mine came in and were seated right away. very very poor service. I live locally, and came here often. listening to the hostess say no one wanted her job, she had to bus tables, etc. so, we left after almost two hours. Waste of an afternoon. When we left, the same tables were empty, still not cleaned. Never again. read more

I'm from Maine and I've eaten clam chowder for nearly 70 years. Now retired, this trip back 'home" was highlighted by Captain Jack's chowdah. I am so glad I came back! The food is still up to par with bar food, but they have expanded their bar and improved the atmosphere. The staff is super nice which to me is awesome because usually locals don't like tourist. The have opened the back half of bar to allow for more tables along with live entertainment. We visited during the week at 1PM - only a 5 min wait. Great atmosphere on the deck and our waitress Lilly was great. For a quick lunch it was just OK. Onion rings were good, but they came sprinkled with salt - who does that? My husband loves a good burger. I noticed he only ate half. I looked at it - it was a cooked preformed frozen patty. I tasted it and it was just dry, unseasoned beef. Sweet potato fries were good. Draft beer selection was good. If it wasn't for the view and deck, we probably wouldn't go back.
