The 502 burger is good but I'd recommend light peppers. They're not spicy but they overwhelm the taste of everything else. Their rusty anchor is pretty tasty. I am not sure if it's only available on Tiki Thursdays. I was able to get a table for 9 on Thursday night but I came an hour early to check in. Table was ready on time. Thank you to the host. Restaurant inside is dimmed and plays good music. Already recommend this place for a date night, adult family dinner, or a friend's social hangout.

Shredded beef, tomatoes (not pico de gallo), black beans, fresh crisp jalapeños (not pickled), etc. You get the picture of what everything is. - Gluten-free burger was NOT IT, unfortunately, which is a shame because there's not many gluten-free options at every restaurant. - Vegan jambalaya with shrimp was okay. My friends and I summarize this restaurant as being "great for apps and cocktails" and not the best for dinner. It's sort of in a tucked away location. I nearly walked into Gus's BBQ because I missed the sign pointing to the Whisper House entrance. Plenty of free street and structure parking in downtown Claremont since it's a college town. Servers were attentive and noticed when we needed refills and answered our questions.

I'm not gonna lie, I usually get my tacos plain (meat and tortilla only) but this time I decided to be brave and try them with the guacamole and pickled onions that they come with. I did have the pico de gallo removed though haha. And I actually really enjoyed how flavorful everything was with each bite! I would definitely order them like that again! I also ended up ordering the Watermelon Hibiscus Margarita and really enjoyed its fruity taste along with the Tajin rim. Such a good combo! Overall, great food options and a nice first visit! I also enjoyed how nice our server was, along with the cool decor inside very picturesque!

The service was attentive, recieved recommendations and the communication between lunch break/shift change was great . Went with the Baja shrimp tacos that were lightly fried but grilled is also an option . The Chipotle sauce was good, and the size of the tacos were filling with 3 . They also have an outdoor patio for seating which on cooler evenings look appealing. The crowd is a nice mix of college, families and people looking to have a nice evening . Would recommend it to someone wanting to try a new place .

We absolutely love this place and decided to come for our anniversary. I'll preface this by saying…read morethe food taste was amazing, like always. But some shady charges or maybe we'll call it miscommunication just rubbed me the wrong way. I always order the mole chicken enchiladas and my wife (being vegetarian) asks for the same dish but if the enchiladas can be vegetable or cheese. Apparently this means a 8$ up charge? We've done this many times in the past and always been charged the same price for both. I asked the server at the end "the veggie version is 8$ more expensive than chicken?" And he just shrugged and said yes. Just found it interesting that a meat dish would be 8$ less than a purely cheese/veggie dish. Especially since done this in the past with no issue. I also asked for "hot sauce" for my dish. They brought out a spicier house salsa as the hot sauce...totally understandable and the salsa here is usually free. Apparently it's a 4$ "chipotle sauce" that the waiter did not inform me would be charged. I would've easily just said I want tapatio or no "hot sauce". I used maybe a teaspoon for 4$. I told the waiter this when we questioned the bill and he just shrugged. These may seem like small inconveniences but when they seem like they intentionally don't tell you the details and then when called out about it just kinda shrug it off, it was a disappointing end to an otherwise tasty dinner. We love it here and will certainly be back but it just sucks that I have to be extra cautious & skeptical when ordering from now on.
