Rude customer service and horrible tasting pizza to top it off. Would never consider ordering from here again.

I was looking for something new in the area and found a flyer that someone had left on my door for Captain Tony's. I decided to order the family special for $19.99. My pizza, cheese bread, and wings were delivered quick and hot. As a matter of fact, my pizza was so hot I had to wait for it to cool before eating it. The wings weren't that great, but the pizza was delish. Between two of us, we didn't even eat half of the order. And that's after having it for lunch and dinner. Great deal, if you ask me. read more

I've only had their delivery, but the food was excellent and was delivered pretty quickly, with everything still hot. We got garden salads and calzones, plus lasagna for tomorrow night while we were at it. The salads were nice and fresh and pretty big compared to similarly priced salads at other places, though the blue cheese dressing was a little bland. The calzones (we got one sausage and one pepperoni) were incredibly good and huge! I ended up way over eating between the salad and calzone. Lots of cheese packed inside them, plus a side of marinara sauce for dipping. There was also a side of garlic bread which we'll eat tomorrow. It was a little more expensive than I thought it would be, but the quality was very good. I'm pretty sure we'll order form them again in the future. read more

Poor customer service. Late delivery, over an hour wait. I ordered a large 3 topping pizza and asked for ham, bacon and pineapples. After waiting for over an hour, instead, I received ham, bacon and more bacon!?! And...I didn't realize this until 30 mins after ordering, because I wasn't thinking about it, but something just didn't taste right. So, I call them and proceed to explain the situation with my pizza and the late delivery. Instead of a quick apology, which was all that I wanted, he argued that his staff only write down what they hear and that the order written down listed two toppings of bacon and ham. So, what are we to do??? Either I'm a lying fool or your rep heard the order incorrectly. Which one of these are more likely??? Since I actually gave the driver a tip even though he was late, I would give myself the benefit of doubt. Did he offer me an apology?? No. Did he offer me anything?? No. He did nothing to help me overcome my upsetting moment. The thing that sucks was that I called out of courtesy to help them improve for the future, but that attempt quickly turned into my dislike of their entire pizza business. I hope their boss reads this, because I am a good customer that you just lost. Not because the pizza was late, not because it was lukewarm and not because the most important topping was missing, but because your representative communicated with me poorly. This is the only pizza restaurant that I enjoy delivery from. The cheese they use is so buttery and perfect, combined with my favorite toppings. I don't usually order appetizers, so I can't sound in on those, but the wait time is fast. They keep customer info on file so all I have to do is give the phone number and they have the address and cross streets, which makes ordering painless. read more

The pizza is so good!! They always have great deals, and the portion size is large. We always have leftovers. They only reason I gave it four stars out of five, is because of the location. I'd rather pay for it to be delivered than risk my life in that shopping center. read more

I have never had their pizza but there spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna is very delicious. The portion sizes are large I always have enough for the next day I always get their garden salad and can usually eat 3 times off of it well worth the price. Hands down the best place in the AV to get pizza. I've only gotten pizza there but do they get it right. We also only pickup, and they are reasonable for the time for pickup. Really good pizza and spaghetti. Ordered for delivery and it was received about 35 minutes later. Pizza and spaghetti were hot on delivery. I also ordered an anti-pasta salad and it was cold and crisp with plenty of meats and other toppings. The spaghetti was flavorful with the right amount of sauce on top. I have ordered pizza from here a few times and it has always been enjoyable. I will definitely order from here again. read more

Delicious food that won't break the bank! We ordered the vegetarian pizza (they put a ton of veggies on this), buffalo wings (best buffalo wings I've had in a long time!) and the antipasto salad. This place has definitely gone downhill in the last few years. My last order (Dec, 2012) was for buffalo wings. I am not sure what I received when it was delivered. It sort of resembled chicken. I ordered from them on Sunday night around 7:15 pm and was told it would be delivered in 45 minutes. I ordered one 6 inch meatball sub, one 12 inch salami sub, and two 12 inch ham subs. At 8 o'clock I called them back to see where my order was and I was told that they had gotten a sudden rush and only started making my order and that it would be delivered in ten minutes. At 8:20 they still hadn't delivered my order so I called them back and told them that I wanted my money refunded and to cancel the order. I wish I could comment on their food but unfortunately this is just on their customer service and moral. Me and some friends were going to order their pizza cause we saw their ad in the yellow pages. Clearly states " 2 large, 3 topping pizzas for $11.99". I called to redeem this coupon (and told him about at the beginning of the call), I tell the guy what we want and he tells us it would be $22 and some change. I reminded him I have the coupon and he says that it is a misprint and should be $12 for EACH. (Thanks for not telling me this at the beginning btw, when I assume this is not the first time this has come up, and wasting my time) As I tell him that this is not my fault and the coupon is pretty clear, I say I guess I will go somewhere else and he didn't even seem apologetic for the mistake. FYI if someone that works there reads this, I would have changed my order to something else if you would have at least tried to make up for it. As you all know, they are obligated to uphold to the coupon otherwise, this is plain and simple FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. Thanks Vinces Pizza for the good food. I have ordered from Captain Tony's on several previous occasions..nothing special but they are one of the few pizzarias that still deliver in our area! Until now everything has been fine. Called tonight and ordered my usual...Garlic Chicken Supreme personal pan pizza...the only difference was this time I was speaking with the "owner"! He proceeded to tell me in a not so pleasant voice that he would have to charge me separately for each item on the pizza. As I tried nicely to explain to him that I had never been charged like that on previous orders he got louder and more emphatic! Then I tried to explain to him that he should then be aware that his employees are not charging correctly for this particular item when he became even louder and extremely arrogant!!! Now I can understand this kind of inept arrogance and disrespect from an underling...not really but it is more likely..however to have an owner treat a regular customer or any customer with such disregard is not only irresponsible but detrimental to one's business! Therefore I have actually discovered that Round Table not only delivers but has more items on their menu, doesn't charge separately per item on their small pizzas and taste better! read more

The best pizza in the AV. Not in the greatest location and the inside doesn't look too pretty but it's a pizzeria. The prices are more expensive than the corporation pizza shops but it's worth it. read more

My wife and I just finished picking the toppings off a large Cattleman's Special so these comments are fresh. Captain Tony's has been our standby pizza for years now so I don't dis it lightly. Toppings were as expected, maybe a little spicy but well within boundaries. The one extra that we asked for was black olives, that on they left off. The crust was very soggy probably because of the tomato sauce. It was heavy, red and watery. I'm sure it was shoveled on and not spooned on. The cheese was not entirely melted, in fact some of it was still cold. We settled for picking the toppings of with a fork. Yes, I called about the problem and received a credit for the olives and a "sorry". I've never been a Domino's guy but may have to try that next time. BEWARE! read more
