Really friendly service Food was good, only thing we didn't really care for was the home fries- they were dry and some of them really overcooked- but everything else was delicious. Clean and cozy dining area

I have been coming to Captains Galley for over 40 years. It is a staple for when I am in town visiting my family. I have had great meals and okay meals during those years. One thing I will say is consistent is the service has always been excellent. They are always friendly and quick to talk with you and get your food quickly. This last visit was the service was great but I have to say the food was okay. I had an omelette with veggies and potatoes but it was really lacking in flavor. I will say their pancakes were delicious as always. The outside dinning area is lovely and the addition of the thatched roof is great for protection from the sun. It is worth a try as it is more about what you order and how much you will like it.

Phenomenal service Sally, a waitress. And the hostess have been very pleasant and welcoming. The venue is standard breakfast fare they have quiche of the day, but it didn't appeal to me. I'm not much for sausage. I chose the granns griddle.

This is my second time having breakfast here. After a horseback riding on Hutchison Island, we desperately needed a nice hearty meal. For whatever reason when I'm asking directions to this place, it takes me to a wrong location. Luckily, once you're over the bridge, you can clearly see the sign and make the correction yourself, instead of a left you make a right. This place always seems super busy, which is a given how good the food is. We did end up waiting for about 10 minutes before we seated. Our server came fairly quickly, took our drink orders, and food orders. Everything came out correctly, but I believe the only issue was after we received our food. Our waiter never came back until everything was done. Having a refill on my coffee and a glass of water would've been nice to have while eating my food. That was honestly my only complaint. The bill was paid at the table, which I always love this feature when restaurants have it available. Would I come back here again, absolutely.

This restaurant has been here since 1984-for good reason! The food was outstanding! I had an omelette. My side was biscuits. Yup,plural. There are 2 fresh, hot homemade biscuits to an order. So good!! And Ashley did an excellent job as our server.

It's old fashioned good food , I'm a breakfast fan and if you've got an appetite then try the Captain's feast it's got all the goodies eggs home fries w onions and the pancakes are pretty darn good, everyone always with a smile and fast service. Try it out you won't regret

Very quaint old Florida vibe restaurant, we had to wait for a table because it is an old house with restaurant downstairs-not sure if they have apartments up stairs or not?!? Breakfast and lunch only, closes at 2 pm. and breakfast/lunch cost the same $10-20. We ordered the seafood combo platter which was 3 shrimp, three fish sticks, fries and 1/4 c slaw for $16. I wish I could say the shrimp or fish tasted so good but they were not; now I realize it probably was frozen fish/shrimp hence the flavor was off. The atmosphere was nice but the food was ok (fries were the best bec nice and crisp). I guess one needs to ask is this fresh fish or frozen?m or order something else.

This place is so cute and had no wait time on a Thursday around 11. The food and Bloody Mary were so delicious! Bonus great price point for the quality and location. Emily was our server and she was very attentive and friendly.

For starters, the calamari was perfectly crispy and fresh. Sauce ok, but the calamari was good all by itself. I highly recommend the butterflied snapper with steamed veggies. Delicious! And let's not forget the mile high key lime pie. Even if you don't care for key lime pie you will absolutely love this one. It's more like a key lime ice cream but better. It can be pretty frustrating, especially if you're visiting for the first time and end up driving around in circles trying to find it. Once you arrive, though, it's worth the effort. The restaurant is located right on the water next to the boat ramp and has an enormous amount of parking. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, along with a full bar area. The outdoor seating is especially nice since it's completely covered on the deck but with all of the bushes and plant surrounding the deck, you're not really getting much of a view. This visit, we opted to sit at the bar and were lucky enough to snag three seats together. Our bartender was awesome and did a fantastic job throughout the meal. They don't serve liquor here, only beer and wine, so I ordered a rosé. The bartender recommended a cute little $16 bottle that came in its own mini bucket. It was adorable and paired perfectly with my meal. For my entrée, I ordered the Ahi tuna with broccoli and a side salad. Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband, however, definitely won the meal competition with the shrimp stuffed with crab meat and mashed potatoes. I stole a bite, and wow--it was incredible. The flavor and texture were outstanding, and I'll absolutely be ordering that next time. One of the funniest parts of the visit was the bartender's T-shirt featuring Anthony Bourdain flipping you off on the back. They were selling them, and I couldn't resist buying one. I'm pretty excited to wear it. Overall, we always enjoy coming here. Great waterfront atmosphere, good food, friendly service, and plenty of parking make it a place we'll continue to visit.

We tried to go here 1st but unfortunately they are closed on Sundays This is one of those, should have asked for the price first moments. But it's just a sandwich right, so we didn't. Well when they brought our to go order and we realized it the sandwich was $22.00 was certainly a bit surprised. And they just assumed we would pay with a card; which we didn't do tacked on a 3% service fee, ok. We still were hopeful that it would still be worth it but when we got home we were not impressed by the amount of pastrami at all. The FLAVOR was very good but scores low on the value category. You would pay the same price at the legendary Katz Deli in NYC, BUT the difference is Katz literally loads nearly a pound of pastrami on each sandwich. But the major complaint is the service. The wait staff are a bit impatient and always have this I haven't had a cigarette in an hour so can you hurry up expression. As well a pushy. Totally get up selling as I got a Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management, but it's done in a far less polished manner. But the food flavor has always been excellent, just a bit pricey, even in this higher inflation time.

Weatherford wood walls, outside tables under an awning. Inside tables are also available, although, why anyone would choose an inside table when you have a front row seat to the ocean is beyond me. Interestingly,, they have a few swing tables that you can rock back-and-forth while you eat. Not sure how many people will choose those "moving'" tables but, they're an interesting idea nonetheless. Service: I was provided with my choice of table. (I chose the swinging tables (I just had to try The experience of swinging while eating - which was actually pretty pleasant).I was seated immediately upon my arrival. My server whose name was Cynthia whose name tag said Helga (don't ask) served me quickly and with a smile. She came by several times to check on my needs but was never an overpowering presence. Couldn't ask for anything more with a server. Be warned, (which my server by the way did warn me about.), They charge an automatic 18% gratuity on the bill. Not a problem in my case as a service was excellent. The food: I ordered the mushroom and brie omelette. It came with a side of potatoes and I requested a biscuit. The was your typical omelette the plus being the tomatoes were super fresh but could've had more brie. If potatoes were combined with peppers and onions and we're nice and crispy of friends just the way they should be). Unfortunately they were out of biscuits (even though they have a biscuits and gravy dish). How you run out of SKU Ott's on a Saturday morning is beyond me. My tea was your standard black tea (they did not have steamed milk) served with honey. Interestingly, they didn't have a decent size cup so I was provided with 2 cups and two teabags. The bottom line: As with all my reviews, my (Customer so what) would I return? This restaurant is not in my top 10 but, if the beach was reopened and I wanted an oceanfront dining experience this could be a pretty good place to visit. The service was excellent. Normally, once we cross the bridge, we just head straight down the road toward the beach and find somewhere to park from there. This place is a little closer to the bridge, so it's not somewhere I would normally walk to or randomly stop at. They do have their own parking lot, which is convenient. We were a little confused about where the entrance was at first. We ended up going around the back, where the boats were passing by, walking past a little tiki hut, and then heading up the stairs. Once we got upstairs, it was a fairly small space with a decent-sized bar. It definitely gave me more of a local hangout vibe than a touristy spot, which I actually liked. Our waitress was super nice, and we had a great little corner spot with some really nice views. The menu had a pretty good selection, but we were just looking for a small appetizer to share. We decided on the 10 wings, but couldn't decide which sauce to get. Thankfully, our waitress told us we could split them, so we did half Thai chili and half buffalo. She said they would toss each half in its own sauce, which sounded perfect. Unfortunately, when the wings came out, I could barely tell which ones were supposed to be Thai chili and which were buffalo. It honestly looked like they had run out of sauce and just used whatever tiny amount was left in the container. I have NEVER received wings with so little sauce before! Usually, when you get sauced wings, you can actually see the sauce coating them and maybe even a little bit of it dripping off. These were basically dry with a light glaze of sauce. We both had a side of ranch with our wings, but it just felt like it was overpowering the little sauce that was covered with the wings. I could've said something, but my nephew didn't want to make a big deal about it, so we just ate them. To be fair, the wings themselves were good, but why serve wings with the absolute bare minimum of sauce? Next time, I'd definitely ask for EXTRA sauce and probably get some on the side. I prefer my wings well coated--I want more than a tablespoon of sauce for 10 wings! Overall, I liked the atmosphere, our waitress was great, and the location had some really nice views. The wings just needed WAY more sauce!

Everything came out fresh and well-prepared. Drinks were cold and refreshing, perfect for enjoying while watching the sunset over the water. What really adds to the experience is the live entertainment. On weekends, they have bands playing that bring that laid-back, Florida-chilled atmosphere to life without overwhelming the vibe. Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the whole experience even better. This is more than just a place to eat--it's a full waterfront dining experience. He had it for a while, God only knows what data base I'm now part of, but hey, great reviews, let's go. The guard gave my license back as well as a parking permit. Asked about the restaurant, he said drive to the stop sign and turn left. There's a row of shops and a Sauders sign. Did get a tiny bit confusing...none of the storefronts was Sauders. There was a dingy looking alley opening...found them. Walking down this dingy alley (there were three old window a/c units running up high, I mean old, tired, dirty and all three are dripping water into buckets below them on the concrete). We get to a tired residential screen door and that is the entrance. We were greeted right away. Said two for dinner. The hostess asked if we had reservations...we said no. We asked to sit inside. This is not the restaurants fault, but the marina is under construction, there are no docks or boats outside the windows, just rebar and dirt, however the windows and screens were dirty. There are dive bars and old restaurants with charm, Sauders is neither. Inside it just looks very tired and extremely dated You know how Restaurant Impossible or Bar Rescue showes usually start, with John Tapper and Robert Irving having a lot to say. They would have a lot to say at Sauder's. Carolyn, our server, lived up to the reviews that mention her. She was prompt, knew all the specials and did a good job throughout our meal. We ordered some Calemari. The batter was falling off, so if you tried to pick up a piece, you basically had a piece of squid. The marinara sauce was hot and had a good flavor. We had the shrimp linguine Alfredo. There were plenty of shrimp. Tha pasta was spaghetti, not linguine, but cooked properly. Could have had a little more sauce but tasted OK. The meal came with a salad. Everything was fresh, cold and crisp. Carolyn informed us the thousand island was made at the restaurant and it was OK. Summary...the food was ok, the dining room was tired, oh yeah, the rest rooms were behind doors rusting under their paint in that dingy alley and my wife said the one she went into was not nice. I honestly don't know how you could give this a 4 or 5 rating. If I knew what we were going to experience, I'd never give my driver's license to that guard and we would find another of the many seafood places in town. Sorry Sauder's, you need to make an investment in your business.
