Capuli is on the post Road in Westport next to ODDZ Clothing Store. It used to be Westport pizzeria. The two owners are husband and wife with the wife being the maître d' and the husband is the chef. The food is Mediterranean in nature but they also serve burgers. We had the salmon which was over risotto with crab. The risotto was unbelievably crisp and tasty. I had the tagliatelle with chicken that was unbelievable. They've been open since January but there weren't a lot of people there on a Friday night, I hope they are doing well because the food was really really good. There is artwork also for sale on the walls that is interesting. It's a little loud because it's a narrow dining room and long with acoustic treatment that is not as efficient as it could be, I made a suggestion that this could be improved if it becomes a problem as they get more crowded. read more

We came here for our anniversary dinner and the food was incredible! My husband and I enjoyed the grilled octopus appetizer, the taste was immaculate ! Everything you could tell was made fresh from the hummus to the meals we ordered. I had the Osso Buco with polenta which was tasty and my husband ordered the steak entree. We can't wait to come back to taste more dishes. Capuli is a wonderful addition to Westport and encourage everyone to go and either order take out or have a welcoming dining experience that felt safe and enjoyable. read more

Went back with some longtime local friends and ,again, had a fabulous dinner. Went on a weekday night . Not as crowded as weekend. Brought our own favorite wine which enhanced our experience. A $20 corkage fee. Steak, salmon and shrimp with pasta were outstanding. Learned that "Capuli " is a fruit from Ecuador. Overall bill quite reasonable by Fairfield County measures. Had a very enjoyable experience at this restaurant yesterday. It's very cute and comfortable with a nice atmosphere. The service was great and the server was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The starters were delicious. There was lots to choose from dinner and we had the fettuccine and shrimp and the scallops. Everything was fresh and excellent. Have lived in town for over 30 years, live within walking distance, and went here last night with my wife for the first time. What a mistake, as we should've been going here since it opened! Everything is delightfully fresh and beautifully presented. The restaurant is tastefully decorated with clean straight lines to maximize space in the long narrow room. Their homemade hummus served complimentary with sliced vegetables is delicious. My friend had a salad bowl & added grilled chicken & loved it. I had a house salad that included very fresh greens and a light vinaigrette dressing along with their homemade tagliatelle with fresh rib meat ragu- Yum! I enjoyed every bite. Their decaf cappuccino and hazelnut biscotti dipped in chocolate topped off our very enjoyable lunch. Compliments to the Chef!!! Reasonably priced for the area and quality of food. I had been wanting to go to Capuli for a LONG time and we finally did! Dined there last night with friends. Loved the small coziness of the restaurant. It is understated but there was something very homey about it. We were greeted by Andrea who was also our amazing waitress. Super lovely and knowledgeable. We shared 3 appetizers (grilled shrimp, artichoke jalapeño "dip" and a salad). Yum!! And all of our main dishes we fabulous! I especially loved the polenta eggplant and veggie dish and hubby's pasta and pesto was amazing. We never get desert but we did and boy were they awesome! And multi berry and oat baked crisp was insane and the lava cake did not disappoint! Will be back for sure! read more

GrubHub (never again) screwed up the order and we didn't get what we actually ordered at pick-up. I asked the restaurant if they could switch the order to what we actually wanted - decided to be a primadonna because it was my birthday and this was only restaurant we found open on a Monday. But no luck. We decided to eat it in the car (how birthday romantic) within about 3 minutes, and both dishes were already cold. So definitely the place to eat it there fresh. The eggplant polenta app was good, but cold and very tiny. Also, a bit too much oil. We received 2 of the wrong pasta dishes and one of them was so undercooked- not at all al dente. If this wasn't a pandemic and costs already tough for restaurants- I would have returned it. The tagliatelle dish was pretty good. Maybe it deserves 3 stars. People love the place and I'm sure some dishes might be 4-5 star worthy but we struck out that night. read more

My friend and I went for lunch and we both ordered burgers. They both came to the table lukewarm. I had requested medium rare and got well done so I sent it back. The second one was at least a little warmer but also well done but I decided to eat it anyway. It was one of the worst burgers I've ever had. The meat did not resemble hamburger- it was compact and tough and tasted strange. My friend had the same opinion. I could only manage half of it and then had a rock in my stomach for the rest of the afternoon. The French fries were the ordinary ones you get from a freezer bag. Stumbled, literally, on this little gem the other day. Nice outdoor limited seating area, that was just right for the day. Andrea, is a sweetheart, and also the owner. Food was well prepared-we both had quesadillas that happened to be perfect. Coupled with a couple of frosty beers- only beer and wine here- it was just what we needed for a light afternoon lunch. Living in Fairfield county and eating out often we know that we have such a selection of truly fine dining. Well, I ordered the Salmon Roulade and it was outstanding. Add us to the list of folks singing the praises of Capuli. We dined there last night and the food was simply amazing. When we first arrived, we were a bit concerned as the place was empty on a Saturday evening. Our hostess (and very lovely owner) explained to us that they did a brisk take-out business but sometimes in-person dining was a bit slow. I am so glad that we did not let the quiet restaurant dissuade us. We had the house salad, the Mediterranean Bowl, Salmon Roulade, and the Tagliatelle al Sugo. All were delicious and beautiful to behold. Although the four of us were all quite full, we finished with a Berry-Berry Crisp and the Creme Brulee. Again, all perfect as was the service. We will definitely be back. It was well worth the drive from Stamford. read more
