They explained that it takes hours just to access the area they needed to get to on my car, which helped me better understand the pricing. I'd say it's definitely cheaper than taking it to the dealership and it's always nice to support a local business! It's only been a week so far, but the check engine light has stayed off and I haven't had the same issues since the repairs. Chris especially was amazing. I actually caught him right at closing time while he was locking up, and he still took the time to answer all my questions, listen to my concerns, and make me feel comfortable about the work being done. He was patient, kind, and explained everything clearly in a way that was easy to understand. The after-hours drop-off was also super convenient and made the whole process much less stressful. I also appreciated how accommodating they were with communication since I can't have my phone on me at work. Chris even made notes to try to get the diagnosis done before my shift. Overall, I had a really positive first experience here and will definitely be coming back. I'll update my review as more time passes, but so far I'm very happy with the service.

Pedro was also exceptional. He found the issue (rodent-chewed wires) and repaired it perfectly. When I picked up my car, he was as excited as I was to have helped me. Before Miramar Auto, I took my truck to the Honda dealer, and they charged twice as much for a diagnosis, only to tell me that I would need a new compressor (incorrect diagnosis) and that it would cost twice as much as I ended up paying out the door at Miramar auto. I couldn't believe how easy Miramar Auto made it. To say that Jason, Pedro, and Miramar Auto are honest, fair, and made me feel taken care of... would be an understatement. The reason I am just writing a review after going to him for 8 years is because I was blown-away with my last service experience with him a few days ago. I took my 2011 Toyota Camry in for it's 60,000 mile service, which he did along with replacing my rear struts (which were original). My car is now running better than it did when I bought it 2 years ago at 35,000 miles. Not only that, but he completed all the work in 1 day and didn't charge me for an additional $600 worth of work. He is truly an honest mechanic and I can't recommend him and his shop enough. I won't take my cars anywhere else.

After a brief consultation at the shop, I went with their 3M Ceramic IR film - 15% for all sides, rear windows & sunroof and 35% front windshield. At first, I wanted to black out my front windshield. However, I occasionally have to place a handicap placard on my rear view mirror when transporting certain family members. Danny strongly recommended that I go with a light enough film to be still able to see the placard when displayed, obviously for legal reasons. Thanks Danny for the recommendation! Danny initially mentioned that it would take about 4 hrs but they got me out very quickly in just a couple. Lastly, at the completion, he made sure to let me know about little details like to not open my windows for the next 2 days to let the film settle and also that I may notice some streaking/air bubble-like appearances on the films which will ultimately disappear. (Putting my trust in Danny since these were quite noticeable as I left the shop. ) Great pricing with Lifetime warranty, too! Overall, I had a great experience from beginning to end. At checkout, I was also surprised to see a tip screen with suggested amounts that felt pretty high given the service. I ended up leaving a small tip, but the experience itself didn't really match that level of expectation. I also would have appreciated a quick walkthrough of the work that was done--especially at that price point--but it was more of a quick handoff of the keys. I came back for the 10-day follow-up and made a point to ask about timing ahead of time. I was told it would take about an hour. I arrived early, but after an hour the car hadn't been touched yet, and there wasn't any update unless I asked. That part was frustrating. So, they ended up rushing my 10-day follow-up inspection. Gave the car a quick rinse and handed me the keys. What was the point of driving down from Carlsbad??? Over 3 hours wasted. For comparison, I had a great experience at their Kearny Mesa location previously, so I know what they're capable of. This location is stretched thin, which seemed to impact communication and overall service. I was not the only customer in the lobby feeling this way. Given the type of clientele they're working with and the pricing, I was expecting a bit more consistency and attention to detail. Their follow-up consisted of more sales pitches of coupons for services I already had done. Would have been nice to have the discounts PRIOR to the work! I planned on using the wash program and mentioned to Jasmine my poor service experience. Think there was follow-up? Nada. So, thumbs "kind of" up for Ceramic Pro but thumbs down for this location. Overall, I think the company itself does good work, and have used the Kearny Mesa location in the past several times with excellent success!! I would not choose this location again.

Great selection and very informative staff. I bought a JVC and love it. When had a question about how High Definition Radio would sound in my car the Asian staff member, sorry I forgot your name, brought out back to his personal car and played several different stations so I could get a feel. He went through all the benefits of the different radios and found one that wasn't in stock that fit everything I wanted. We set a install date, which they installed for $65 with bluetooth cable going up to the top of my windshield. Everything went off without a hitch when I went for the install, and I was able to pick my car up an hour and half later. Excellent experience and I love my new radios all the gadgets. read more

I brought our 1993 Class C RV (e350 Ford cab/engine) to replace the original, stock audio system, which was in terrible shape. Raul gave me a lot of excellent advice and helped integrate the pre-purchased components I brought with me and the additional things that I needed. The installation was flawlessly performed and, when finished, was even better than I could have expected. The Service is slow slow slow...if they say an hour expect 3. I am a several time customer for the fact that I have purchased good Equip from them and wanted them to re use it in another car. Dewey is the manager and is very nice although he knows how to nicely jack that bill up. Very expensive. He provided an estimate of how long the work would take, and it was actually completed a little earlier than expected. They kept the car clean, no trash or debris anywhere in sight, and nothing on the floor mats. The installation was nice and clean (see photo). Emad took the time to show her how everything worked and answered any/all questions she had. The shop itself is very easy to find (on Claremont Mesa Boulevard near the 163 freeway) and the show room is super clean. They have a lot of products laid out and you can ask for a demo. Asked a bunch of questions as I didnt trust any of the east county shops from doing my own DD.... Don got me in contact with Skip as I would have never even considered this place, even though thinking back ive came here in the late 90s. Skip isnt the cheapest but very fair / competitive, you get what you pay for. Ive learned that as did a system for my son recently at another shop & after digging some, some some wiring issues that shouldnt have happened, running a 4 gauge wire for a 1800 watt amp that clearly calls for a 1/0 gauge power cables, amp has a 1/0 gauge terminal & so on... Skip & his team did an amazing job on my tacoma & the re-do on my son's ford ranger. He was patient with my OCD asking questions, processes, questioning things, etc... Skip & his team do great work & wouldnt consider going to El Cajon or santee from what ive experienced again... Have another system in the works....
