I was looking to buy a specific vehicle which Car Expo just happened to have, so I went in for a test drive. Upon arrival I was greeted by Freddy, he seemed very nice and polite, he answered all my questions. The car itself was clean both inside and out. It drove great, and there were no noticeable issues from the interior, no leaks under or around the engine bay, and no dents; pretty suite for an older 2012 model. Freddy and the staff was nice, I have no complaint. They worked with me and my bank even though my bank (a Credit Union) was making them run through hoops. In the end I am very happy with the car I purchased, the staffs friendly service, and the staffs willingness to work with me. Thanks to Freddy and Jose for making my car buying experience a good one. This is why I waited a while to make my review. I notice that a lot of the reviews are preventable issues. Jose and Freddy did not let me off the lot without making sure I was accepted, approved, insured, and comfortable with the deal. My car has no issues and if I did have issues I feel welcomed enough to come to Freddy and Jose with concerns. Before anything, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I WOULD GIVE IT A 0 STAR IF I COULD. We went to sell a car to them a few months ago and got an offer on the car. We had owed money on the car and registration. The guy JOSE working there "salesman" who we will get to later told us that we owed $1,000 for registration. Keep it mind THE OWNER WAS STANDING WITH US THE WHOLE TIME THIS CONVERSATION WAS HAPPENING. So they took that $1000 off the offer they gave us on the car so they can go ahead and pay it. No problem right? Us and JOSE Agree on this and then go inside and call the loan company to find out how much we owe on the car. $1,500. NO PROBLEM. Took it off the offer as well which is fine since we had owed money on it. They proceed to tell us that they will pay for the loan and registration to get the title mailed to them. At that time, the car was still under my name so all the fees on the car was falling back on me still since they "paid" all these fees after they sold the car. SHADY. We get a letter in the mail from the franchise tax board saying that the $1000 that JOSE said they where going to pay for DIDN'T GET PAID. Which means I paid for it EVEN TOUGH THEY DEDUCTED THAT FROM THE APPRAISAL weird right? we take this paper to them saying that you guys haven't payed it and it's costing us even though we don't own the car anymore. They said wait a few days while "their paperwork" goes through on the DMW system. Bulls*it. We waiting for the day they told us to wait for and went back. Owner wasnt there. JOSE said come back after a few hours and I will have a check ready for you. WENT BACK. No check at all. We asked why, he said "because the owner is not here" BULLSHITTTTTT. We have been at this for a whole month regarding the check. Your saying you guys working there can't write a check and authorize it without him being there? WEIRD. We waited another week for the lieing ass owner to "come back" went back and he wasn't there. He said come back a few hours later so that's what we did. Went back and he was there this time. THEY KNEW I WAS COMING FOR THE CHECK. I get there and wait 15 minutes for the owner to come out and he finally comes out saying that JOSE didnr get the paperwork ready for him to write the check EVEN THOUGH JOSE KNEW I WAS COMING. He wasn't there at that time apparently was in "Cerritos" ok. Owner comes out with a check for $520 talking about this is what we owe you not $1000. WE TOOK $1000 from the quote FOR A REASON. I said to him this isn't how it works you don't make up numbers and give me what you want. He saw all the paperwork saying that he owes me $1000 and still has his dumbasss mind stuck on $520. I said to him we made an agreement in the beginning and that's why we made adjustments to the price. LISTEN TO THIS HE SAID "JOSE IS JUST A SALESMAN HIS WORD DOESNT GO" SORRY?????? so the salesman can tell me $1000 just to SCAM me and give me less money and at the end you give me wbat you feel like giving me? If his word doenst go then what did we agree on? The owner was standing right there when the convo was happening and didn't say a word. HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. I get there, checked out some cars and the guy was extremely pushy with the sale. I asked to see some cars and if they had the key so I can check the inside. He asks me to go inside the office. I thought that was weird. Then he started giving me papers to fill up to run my credit score. I haven't even picked a car! I literally asked to see the inside of a couple of cars then all of the sudden he's already asking me to fill up the application. Major red flag! I wish I had read the reviews before going here. Worst experience EVER. Not during the purchase, but after. DO NOT SIGN the contract without first reading ALL OF IT. They make many false promises that you waive by signing the contract. Unfortunately I was desperate since my car lease was coming up and I had my eye on a Jeep Wrangler. I went to this place because they had a few Jeeps. Keep in mind I paid $29,000 CASH! I would've been better off purchasing one off the street in whatever condition it came in! 1. A few dashboard lights lit on after driving off. I went in a week after to let them know since there was a "30 day warranty." The first time I show up, "the mechanic wasn't in." The second time I showed up, Fernando said it was probably a sensor and he couldn't do anything about it until it gave out?? Why wait until your customer is stranded, especially if you're not paying tow fees or inconvenience fees??? Bunch of crap. 2. I bought my car in September, they informed me I would get my car plates/ registration about 2 weeks after. A month later, I called them for an update since I hadn't received anything and said to wait, there was probably delays. Mid-October I called again various times/ days in a row and there would be no answer unless I called from a different phone number. At last, I talk to Richard who says to wait 1 week. First week of Nov. I call again and he asked if I received a letter from the DMV and I inform him I didn't. Then he tells me he "see's in the system" that I'll get it first thing December. Told me not to worry since my temporary stickers exp. until end of Dec. Finally, my boyfriend who was with me when I purchased the Jeep went to the dealer in person to ask what was happening and they inform him they tried sending me a letter informing me I owed around $500 for the DMV fees. We informed them all fees were included during time of purchase according to them and they promised I would receive the DMV items 2 weeks after the purchase! SCAM artists for sure! It is now 01/02/2021 and I still don't have plates, stickers, or registration! Had they informed me of these fees ahead of time or to expect additional fees, I would've understood. He asked us to come back on a Tuesday morning so he'll have an electrician, we get there and the office is locked up. The mechanic is there and won't call the manager. Where do I start? *Sold me a Jeep that needed all the maintenance. I barely drove the Jeep 6 times or less the first month and yet noticed that weird shaking started happening. Thankfully, it only ended up needing an oil change which I changed at week number 3. That is only because I called and asked if they had change the oil and they said yes, which was a complete lie because the oil was blacker than their souls. *Then the differential started leaking oil, had to change it after a month. When I brought it for them to check it they told me to bring it back because their mechanic wasn't there. I came back another time and he wasn't there either so they never did anything for me, and said it was "sold as is" when I became upset so no 30-day period or any shame for wasting my time and making me throw all these money because they didn't do what they were supposed to and on top of that lying about it. I'm typing this review from my mobile phone so please excuse any spelling/grammatical errors... Unlike all the other reviews on here, I actually had a positive experience with Car Expo. I came into this dealership back in late September right after some time overseas looking for a jeep wrangler sport with the straight 6 engine. Did my research online and saw that Car Expo had a few options on their lot. I called a few days prior to let them know I was interested and the person on the phone was very polite and courteous and scheduled for me to come by. My ride from base to the dealership changed plans and I ended up showing at the dealership like 2 hours early, but it wasn't a problem, they served me without any complaints or attitude or anything Now for the actual car buying experience, I showed up and looked around and found a jeep that I was interested in test driving. The salesman asked me if I was actually interested in buying it or if I was just browsing and not worth his time. Now this could be interpreted as a rude question however considering the fact that all the cars were packed tightly into the lot like tetris pieces I considered it an honest and fair question, he'd have to move like 7 cars to get mine out for test drive, so I agree with him on that one. I let him know that I was very serious about the car, came equipped with a pre approval from my credit union, and some cash to cover any down payments or unforseen expenses. He said great and got the car out. My buddy who came with me to look at the car is a very seasoned mechanic and I'm pretty good with electrical and wiring, and our salesman had no problem letting us do a full head to toe checkout on the vehicle as well as a longish test drive and check all the fuses, connectors, get underneath the vehicle etc etc. We took a notepad and scrawled down all discrepancies with the vehicle before heading into the office to discuss business. Now this is where Car Expo won my respect. Inside the office they were completely courteous, professional, and respectful. We asked to see the carfax and they were provided, we negotiated on a price, and they played ball. All the (minor) discrepancies we found were brought up as well as Kelly Blue Book value and Edmunds and the salesman agreed to knock some off the price within reasonable expectations. At one point the boss came in to talk to us and he was totally professional as well. The earlier comment about him looking like a "mafia boss" is in my opinion unfair. He was in a shirt slacks and tie and was completely level headed and straight forward with us. I didn't get any sense of intimidation or belittling from anybody working there whatsoever, we settled on a price that I accepted and we did business. 100% professional. Now as far as financing goes I can't really say since I went in with a pre-approval from my credit union. However on a special note I can say this, they were very willing to work with my credit union and accepted my pre approval immediately. They did not try to trick me into signing some crazy no money down no payments for 12 months flexible APR loan or anything. As a service member I must say this was really cool to experience, too often does it occur that a dealership spots a junior enlisted man and tries to get him with a predatory loan on a junker car. But like I said before they didn't do any of that, they talked to the credit union for me, and worked well together. After it was all said and done they shook our hands and thanked us for our business, gave us a card to call if we needed anything, and thanked us for our service. Drove off in the Jeep I wanted for the price I wanted, and a few weeks later the registration and tags came in the mail. Done deal, Car Expo was a great place to buy a car, for me at least. read more

The car has been in the shop now a total of 3 months of the 4 months since we purchased it and when we call or go to the dealer to inquire about our car they give us the roundabout. We've had to file a complain with the FTC, but also wanted to let the consumers know how unprofessional these guys are. When you buy from a used dealership you know you're getting a used car, but not one that will break down on you less than 2 weeks after purchasing it. read more

But little did they know that I wasn't the one, so I called the cops myself and made sure the cops told them that I wasn't responsible for paying such amount. Business is business and I no longer wanted to do business with them. They refused to shred my paper work, staying with all my personal information. I currently have red flagged all credit bureaus, have contacted consumer affairs and will be pressing charges and filing a personal suit. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! He handled the phone call answering all my questions and directing me to the easy online loan application. Jose the manager assisted with the fast approval over the phone continuing to extend the best Customer Service. When I went to pick up my truck I was greeted with a big friendly smile from Freddie welcoming me & congratulating me for my purchase. Moreover, when my husband picked up the title at Car Expo they asked him to ask his wife to take down the review. Sarcastically, he told them I would after eight months. I went to this dealership today after: e-mailing them; calling them; and after seeing a GMC Yukon XL at another dealership. I'm in the process of deciding how much vehicle might be too big for me (I'm a small woman), but I need a lot of room in the back. I'll be making a long drive with two pets and so renting a U-Haul as suggested by friends is simply not an option. I need to test drive vehicles to ensure that I can drive them and that they even run. When I arrived at this dealership, a gentleman immediately came running out of the office. He was anxious to find out if I planned to purchase something TODAY. He emphasized TODAY. I said I didn't really know. I am researching some SUVs and I have long wanted a King Ranch interior. They advertised a used Ford Expedition King Ranch. This man would not let me test drive the thing. I said that was okay and told a friend with me, "C'mon, let's go." He said no and that he would get the keys! I cannot make a decision on a vehicle and decide on a purchase price, etc. if I don't even know if it runs! As it turned out, the Expedition wouldn't start when he got the keys. My friend said that the salesman just did not want to be bothered with getting out and letting me drive it and that he probably lied about it not starting for him. I am very disappointed with the service at this car dealer. This morning, I called to make an appointment to test drive their 2005 Porsche Cayenne. I drove all the way from Bakersfield to see the vehicle. We arrived around 4pm. The Cayenne was still behind 3 cars. While I was looking at the Cayenne, the sales guy kept asking me if I was going to pay cash or finance. I let him know I had not decided yet. After looking at the car, I asked to test drive it. He then told me that I would have to fill out paperwork to see "if the numbers looked good" before I could test drive! I told him I had not decided if I even wanted the vehicle and a test drive is key to making that decision. He said "I'm new, go talk to the manager". I told him thank you but we are leaving, got into my car and drove away. The manager would not even come out to talk to me. You would think that when a customer makes an appointment, lets you know they're driving over 100 miles to visit your business for a potential sale, you would be more accomodating. Regardless, requiring paperwork and "numbers" before allowing a test drive is definitely not customer focused. I own FOUR Porsches (I drove to the car dealer in one of them), three of which I purchased IN CASH. I hope to warn folks about dealing with unsavory businesses such as Car Expo Online. I've had a similar experience to a few others on here. The Xterra that I bought is running fine, but CarExpo never filed for the tax title and license that I paid for at the dealership. Now I am in a situation where my only recourse is to take them to court and have them either refund my money for the TTL or pay for the TTL myself. I have tried to resolve this with them many times, only to be told that the one guy that can help is not there or to give it some more time and it will come in the mail. read more
