    Sales Manager

We visited Cerritos Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram on August 7 as serious buyers looking to purchase a new Dodge Durango. Unfortunately, we ultimately left and decided to purchase elsewhere because of our experience with Sales Manager Eddie Duran. We initially worked with Sales Consultant Atiq Rahman. During negotiations, we received multiple pricing figures that appeared inconsistent, including a tax calculation that raised questions. When we questioned the numbers, we were told that at least one of the figures provided was a typo. Because we were having difficulty understanding the discrepancies, we had my brother, who works in automotive sales, on the phone helping us review and understand the numbers. We asked to speak with a manager for clarification. Once Eddie became involved and learned that my brother worked in automotive sales, the interaction became unnecessarily confrontational. He questioned why this had not been disclosed beforehand, made comments about "salesman to salesman" courtesy, and accused my husband of trying to "play" him and not being upfront. His demeanor throughout the conversation came across to me as unnecessarily aggressive and intimidating. The best way I could describe my personal impression afterward was that he was acting like the "Suge Knight of Cerritos Dodge." It felt completely out of place for what should have been a professional conversation about purchasing a vehicle. During the exchange, Eddie also made a point of telling us that although he may look young, he has been doing this since the early 2000s. That made the interaction even more surprising. If someone has more than two decades of experience in the automotive business and is now in a management position, I would expect them to be able to handle customers questioning pricing without becoming confrontational. Profanity was also used during the interaction. I don't recall every statement word-for-word, so I don't want to inaccurately quote anyone. However, I clearly remember his demeanor and how uncomfortable the interaction became. I personally became uncomfortable enough with the way my husband was being spoken to that I got up and walked out of the dealership. To be clear, our issue is NOT that the dealership wouldn't accept our offer. We completely understand that a dealership and customer may not agree on price. Our issue is how we were treated after questioning inconsistent figures and asking management for clarification. We came prepared to purchase a $50,000+ Durango, but this experience caused us to take our business elsewhere. Customers making a significant purchase should be able to ask questions about pricing and have someone knowledgeable assist them without being made to feel as though they're doing something wrong. I sincerely hope senior management reviews how this interaction was handled.

I reached out to Cerritos Jeep to get more information on a vehicle and unfortunately the experience ended up being a complete waste of time. I was communicating with a representative via text, and each time I asked for details, I was told they would follow up. That follow-up never came. Instead, I would randomly receive generic messages that didn't address any of my questions, which made the whole interaction feel disorganized and dismissive. As a potential customer, it's frustrating to have to chase basic information and still not get clear answers. If you value your time and expect responsive communication, I would recommend considering other dealerships.

It's crazy how I've gone to Cerritos for so many years and bought multiple autos from them. But the service department likes to gouge prices. I had an oil change done on my 2500 ram truck back in November 25, which was $140 today I go there and the sales rep tells me that it's almost $210. He then stated the oil prices went up and also it's the same oil that the hellcat uses. I'm not stupid, I have worked on cars all my life and I understand dealerships need to make their money but for you local people who are trying to save money I ended up going to Mountain View tires next to Lakewood Mall. A friend recommended them. They use the same oil as DODGE so they're gonna do the oil change of course the oil filter, tire rotation check the transmission fluid and check all the other oils and also change my cabin filter for $156. Plus they said they'll be done less than two hours.

Rough experience with service. Brought 2018 Wrangler in for oil leak. Replaced oil control valve seal and found cooling hose leak. Hose replaced and tested for leaks. Very next day of driving, check engine light comes on. Ends up being catastrophic after failed block test caused by multiple cylinder misfires due to coolant entering cylinders. Cylinder heads replaced as well as radiator and coolant. Over $10k. Coincidence? Service manager dismisses it. We will push forward with complaint and investigation. Also left dog hair in back seat and denies it. Just be wary if planning to use for service.

I recently came into this place back on 6/8 and the finance department was very unhelpful. They sold me my leased jeep compass and 'added warranty' only to send me home without actually telling me that I needed to come back for a car inspection and that I would need to leave it there for a full day. I found out only because the Jeep in Anaheim helped me out and explained it to me. The jeep location in Cerritos never added warranty and lied about it being effective right away. They also told me that I was approved for a loan and that I would get the information in '2 weeks'. Well it's now 6/28 and nothing has been received. I called and they tell me 'oh this loan just got approved a few days ago'. So they lied about it getting approved back on 6/8. Here I am still waiting for my loan information to arrive in the mail when my payment is due on 7/8. My credit is going to be affected by this and they didn't seem to care. Do yourself a favor and go to the Jeep in Anaheim. I won't be coming back here unless I absolutely have to.

I've had enough of the Cerritos Dodge service department. My experience here has been nothing short of exhausting. Every time I bring my car in, I feel like I'm not being heard. I've brought up the same issue multiple times, yet nothing seems to get fixed. I've had to bring my car back over and over again because the problem is either brushed off or not taken seriously. On top of that, they don't even follow through on basic requests--like an oil change. I specifically asked for one, and it wasn't done. How does that get overlooked? It just shows a lack of attention to detail and customer care. What's even more frustrating is the lack of ownership. They act like it's no big deal for customers to waste time driving back and forth, rearranging their schedules, and repeatedly explaining the same problem. There's no sense of urgency or accountability--just indifference. Bottom line: the Cerritos Dodge service department doesn't care about its customers. If you value your time and want your vehicle actually taken care of, go elsewhere.

I am coming on here to write a very well deserved review on my very recent vehicle purchase. To begin, let me just say that this would be the second vehicle I purchase from Cerritos Auto Square. I made my first purchase back in 2018 and they took great care of me then, and they did it once again. My Jeep Sahara's transmission went out in late November and I was pretty bummed as I didn't plan on having to spend a hefty amount for its repairs. I made the devastating decision to turn my car in and purchasing a new one. I knew that I wanted another Jeep, as Ive become a Jeep fanatic. So early this month, I went back to Cerritos Jeep where I had purchased my first Jeep. As soon as I arrived, I was approached by this young man, introduced himself as Rennen. I explained to Rennen my complicated situation, (having a non-working car stuck at a repair shop, which would need to be towed in as a trade in) in need of a new vehicle to move around asap. Rennen also made sure to inquire about what I was looking for in a new vehicle. He also made sure to inquire what can be done in my situation. He reassured me that the dealer could take care of towing my car from the shop to the dealer and the only thing I would need to worry about was finding a new vehicle to purchase. He walked around the lot with me and explained differences amongst all the Jeep wranglers that were on the lot. I was really adamant about getting a specific color which I had seen on their website. It was a gorgeous Rubicon, problem was that it wasn't on the lot yet. It was on its way to the dealership, set to arrive in 7-10 days or so. I felt like I should look at other Jeeps given the fact that I really needed a car asap. I did see one that caught my interest, somewhat. I test drove it and liked it but the problem was that I didn't love it. I told Rennen I had to go off home and pick up my kid from school, though I had given the dealership permission to run my credit and work with numbers until I came back. However when I arrived back at the dealership, I was really deflated because I really wanted the Jeep that I had seen online and really wanted that one! I asked Rennen what could be done since I really wanted the vehicle that was not physically on the lot yet I really needed a car to get around. Rennen went above and beyond to help us figure out a solution. They facilitated and provided a rental until my dream Jeep arrived to the dealership. I then was so excited and content to begin the numbers and paperwork process. We ran into a few bumps as one of the sales managers was not being too friendly (I do not remember his name). He even told Rennen that they can give me the deal I wanted if Rennen would be willing to give up his commission. That was very unprofessional to say. Luckily one of the other sales managers, who must have seen that I was really getting ready to drop everything and walk away, came over to the rescue. It was Ronnie, the sales manager. He came over and made sure we got the deal we wanted and from there we went to Frank and sat down in his office to sign off on the purchase. Frank was very calm, and collected, we chatted about family, he generally made us feel comfortable and at ease. A few little bumps we ran into, the rental person was gone for the evening and I had to pick up my temporary rental the next day. I had to work so my husband was responsible to go pick up my rental the next morning. Rennen facilitated an uber ride out of pocket to pick up my husband so that he can pick up my rental. Second mishap, my car end up running a little behind schedule and did not make it to the dealership until almost the end of the month. I expressed my concern of having to pay my upcoming first car note and not having the car yet. Rennen made sure to help us find a fair solution for that and he updated me every step of the way until my car arrived at the dealership. Fun fact, I coincidentally picked up my new Jeep the day before my birthday!! It was perfect!! I was super excited and felt very grateful for the whole process. These guys took great care of me and I cannot thank them enough! In sum, Rennen, Ronnie, and, Frank all deserve a very hefty raise!!! Ask for them on your next trip to purchase a vehicle from this dealership.

I regret to report that my recent encounter with Autonation Toyota of Cerritos has left me not just…read moredisappointed, but existentially bewildered. Let us begin with the pricing--good heavens. The MARKUPS, particularly on used vehicles, are so astronomically high that I briefly wondered if I had stumbled into a time warp back to the height of COVID-era shortages. Spoiler alert: I had not. These prices persist in the present day, quite brazenly, like a software bug no one has bothered to fix. Even more troubling is the rather misleading nature of said pricing. One expects a certain level of transparency when engaging in the delicate dance of purchasing a vehicle, but instead, it felt more like trying to debug a system with no documentation--confusing, frustrating, and ultimately futile. And then, the negotiation process. Or rather, the lack thereof. Attempting to negotiate--perfectly standard behavior in such transactions--was apparently treated as some sort of social faux pas. I half expected a trapdoor to open beneath me. In fact, it seems one can be shown the door simply for trying to discuss the price with any degree of persistence. Extraordinary. Frankly, it's a bit of a slap in the face to both loyal Toyota owners and those considering joining the fold. One would hope for a welcoming and reasonable experience, not one that feels adversarial and, quite frankly, absurd. In conclusion: overpriced, misleading, and oddly hostile to negotiation. I shall be taking my business elsewhere--and possibly bringing a stress ball next time.

Unfortunately I ran into some pricing games there, quotes that didn't match what was advertised online, and discounts that were listed on paper but never actually applied. He was upfront and transparent with pricing from the first message, sent me a real itemized breakdown, and when I asked him to remove things, he actually removed them. At one point we realized I didn't technically qualify for a $750 competitive discount he'd originally quoted me, and instead of just pulling it from the price, he worked with me to offset the difference anyway. When I showed up to buy, everything was ready. Serbie walked me through the car and the whole process, no pressure, no games. He told us we can go to jiffy lube or a place like that and it would probably lay be faster. I ended by telling him, "I can't believe you guys had us come all the way down here just to waste our time by not telling us the truth" Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY upset at the unprofessionalism, lack or organization and lack of upfront truthfulness over the phone. I purchased a vehicle from them in mid-March. The dealership claims its vehicles undergo an inspection before sale, but my vehicle had a leaking transmission bolt (which cost approximately $300 to repair), missing trim pieces, and a faulty radio. To their credit, they replaced the radio at no charge. I was told that my license plates would be delivered to the dealership rather than my home address. While unusual, I accepted that explanation and assumed the required paperwork would be handled properly. Unfortunately, that was not the case. About a month after purchasing the vehicle, I called to ask about the status of my plates. I was told they did not have them yet, but that someone would check with management and get back to me. No one ever did. Over the following weeks, I made several more calls and received the same response each time: someone would look into it and call me back. No one ever did. As my temporary registration approached expiration, I continued trying to get answers. At one point I was told their "plate guy" had the plates and they should arrive within a few days. When I followed up, I was told that was no longer the case. Again, I was promised a callback that never happened. With only a week remaining before my temporary tags expired, I contacted AAA for assistance. That is when I learned that the title had never been transferred into my name. I immediately contacted the dealership, but my calls went unanswered. I then sent an email explaining the situation and was told someone would follow up on Monday. Based on my previous experience, I am not optimistic that will happen. As a result, I am now dealing with registration issues and scrambling to resolve paperwork that should have been completed by the dealership months ago. The most frustrating part of this experience has been the complete lack of communication. Mistakes can happen, but repeatedly failing to return calls or provide updates is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend shopping elsewhere.
