As a young woman with basically zero knowledge about cars, I always find myself vulnerable and easily swindled by any mechanics I see for my troublesome Nissan Juke. After a cross country move from NYS TO NV, my tail pipe had rusted and cracked and needed replacing. I trusted the repair with sun auto service because of a stellar Yelp reputation. Mistake. I won't divulge on those details (on this page at least). Long story short, my pipe just fell off in a parking lot a couple nights ago and I was forced to drive around without a muffler. I stumbled into car life auto service on a whim, hoping they would stick it back on there at a minimal cost. Thomas, the owner of the shop, immediately got my car up on the risers. No "come back in 3 hours" or "let me take it in the back..." Aka break more stuff to make you pay. His crew got started on it right away and made sure it was firmly secured, high enough to not drag, etc. I also received a much needed oil change for the bargain cost of 19.95! Thomas engaged in conversation with me and my boyfriend the entire time of repair, which made the hour in the Vegas heat feel like nothing! He displayed a great sense of humor, pride in his business and great passion for his family, interests,and military background. I haven't taken great care of my car because I dread auto shops and the looming sense that a mechanic is being dishonest and/or trying to take advantage of customers. Finally, I have found a shop where I will feel comfortable returning with my business. I am confident in the credibility, honesty, and good morale of the mechanics. Go to Car Life! I would vote 0 stars if possible. Took car in on Wednesday, found out the steering gear was bad. Work started on Thursday, was told car would be ready on Friday. Friday became Saturday, which became Monday, and it was finally late Tuesday afternoon that I finally got my car. The whole time, the reason why the fix date got moved up kept changing. Don't know about you, but the first sign to me that someone is lying is the story keeps changing. I highly suspect they did damage that they tried to cover up considering they did such shoddy work, I'm looking at more money to fix the car properly. DO NOT take your car to them if you value it. I wanted to take a moment and give a great big Thank you!!!, to Thomas and his team at Car Life. My wife inherited a mini van when her Grandmother passed away. They were very close so she decided to keep it and make a beach cruiser out of it for our camping adventures. The challenge was it wouldn't pass smog. So Thomas at car life didn't charge me for smog checks until it passed, told me exactly what I needed to do to get it to pass and then only charged me like half price,$10.99. Buyer beware: we went in to get a simple alignment. We had called prior to ensure they could do an alignment on a car that was lowered. They were adamant that they could. When we walked in Thomas was extremely nice and helpful. When we started the alignment, Angel took the car on a test drive (which we weren't informed he would be doing otherwise we would have wanted to be in the car as well). When he came back the car was shaking violently and it looked as if he was jerking the brakes. I'm not talking about the shaking it does when you need an alignment (which it didn't start shaking until 60mph while we had it) We should have said something because he was jerking the car but we didn't because we just assumed he wouldn't do anything to ruin it. After the alignment they tell us we need a whole new front end and that everything rotors control arm, it's all torn. Which is crazy because all of those were brand new and just replaced. They told us to sell the car and that it wasn't worth fixing. Weird because we just fixed everything on the car and all the parts were brand new. We're pissed obviously and we drive the car home. When we have our mechanic look at the car, he says the bottom of the front end is scraped. So what happened, which the shop won't admit to, is that Angel bottomed out in our car or ran over a curb and ruined the front end. Then hey proceeded to do the alignment (which wasn't possible for the car in the end) to make it seem as if the alignment had messed up the car and not angels driving. Their cameras will show that when angel drove out of the parking lot the car was easily drive-able and when he drove back in the car was jerking all over the place. Doesn't add up. They wouldn't pay for the parts he damaged and denied any wrong doing and were extremely rude when we tried to talk to them over the phone about it. They also lied and said the car was shaking violently when we drove it in which was not the case and they can see that by checking their security tapes. We ended up having to sell the car because they had damaged so badly. Honestly all we wanted was for them to replace the parts they had damaged in the front end. But they didn't feel like doing the honest thing was something they could handle. They have zero integrity. Don't let angel touch your car. read more

This place used to be the best! They were always extremely helpful and never ripped you off by charging you for things you didn't need. The owner Tomas was always on top of everything and would explain anything you asked. They even let you watch while they work on your car so you know you aren't getting ripped off. I found this place on a fluke and have been a long time repeat costumer UNTIL Tomas left and now the new owner and management are HORRIBLE!! They are thieves. I had a bunch of work done on my car before Tomas left and about a week later noticed something wasn't right so I went back to have him check it out. Normally he would say no problem and check it out and fix whatever the problem was and of course not try to double charge me. Well this time I went in and by then Tomas had already left and the new manager not only didn't fix what was wrong he refused to give me a refund or a credit because he wasn't here when the work was originally done. So now I'm out the money and my car isn't fixed. Thankfully I called up Tomas and he told me to come down to his new shop and he will fix what's wrong with my car free of charge.
