We're back here today as a result of an inspection at Firestone. Here we are and the car is already up on the rack to get a second opinion. What was found was not a result of the prior inspection but a fuel leak showing on the fuel tank and possibly from the fuel pump. Ah...A bit of oil residue on the right side valve cover needed a new gasket. So she stayed the night and got fixed up right. They provided a loaner car and we picked up "Spirit" the following afternoon. The car was also washed and surprise they washed the engine too! Motor City Auto Care came through for me when my 2008 Ford Escape lost power steering (which I learned is electrical). I found them on Yelp as the top-rated shop, and they were the first to respond. They got me in the next day for a free diagnosis, greeted me right away, and checked my car quickly. A part needed to be ordered, and a few days later Bobby called to explain they reprogrammed the steering. He was honest and told me it could be temporary, but reassured me they'd replace the full steering system if it happens again. The price for the fix was more than reasonable, and Bobby also explained that if the entire system needs to be replaced in the future, the cost would still be very reasonable. The store manager, Bobby, is a very truthful, thoughtful and friendly, who made a thorough inspection and pointed out all small to more severe problems of my 20+ years' old car.
