Damaged Tyre before purchase. Still damaged and no response from the dealer.

Purchases a 2021 tesla from carluxe. On the day oslf purchase, car had a damaged Tyre. Sales rep said he will talk to manager about a replacement Tyre. Now my calls are getting ignored and no mention of a replacement Tyre either. This place is really horrible and irresponsible. Tyre was damaged before I purchased the car. At least have the decency to return a call and fix something basic as a Tyre. Think twice before going here.

Vehicle runs perfectly still. Mint condition. We keep it up. Sun roof needs looking into. No biggie. I'll call them and see how they charge and let you know. April 7, 2024.

We told our salesperson, Maximus, that we had the money ready and would be driving down from Northern California within about a week to purchase it. Instead of simply holding the car, he immediately used pressure tactics, claiming it would likely sell unless we put down a **$500 refundable deposit**. Once we paid the deposit, the dealership marked the vehicle as sold and removed the listing, CarFax, and all of the vehicle information from their website. When we later asked for the CarFax again, Maximus suddenly became "too busy" to respond, despite previously replying almost instantly. Before making the trip, we specifically asked if there would be any issues paying with a cashier's check on July 4th since banks would be closed. Maximus told us to send him a photo of the check several days in advance so he could have it verified beforehand. We did exactly that, and he confirmed everything was good to go. After driving several hours to the dealership, everything fell apart. First, the vehicle was nothing like it had been represented. We were told it had new tires, yet the front tires had a 2012 manufacture date. The car was filthy, covered in scratches and paint chips, had faded paint, broken buttons, rattling mirrors, suspension issues, exhaust problems, and cheap aftermarket parts. Based on its condition, it likely needed close to **$10,000** in repairs. After spending hours test driving the car and completing paperwork, we were suddenly told our cashier's check had **never been verified**, despite Maximus previously confirming that it had been. The only option they offered was financing, which conveniently came with numerous undisclosed fees. Maximus repeatedly insisted he had verified the check until the finance manager called him out in front of us for lying and told us he would be **firing Maximus because this wasn't the first time he had made this kind of mistake**. Whether that was genuine or just for show, it was incredibly unprofessional. Read every line of the paperwork. The contracts included several undisclosed fees and add-ons, including a vehicle tracker we never requested. We believe many of these practices are deceptive, and **we will be filing complaints with both the FTC and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).** To make matters worse, getting our refundable deposit back became another ordeal. After we decided not to purchase the vehicle, they repeatedly stalled and told us to leave, promising they would send the refund later. We refused to leave without our money and informed them that we would involve the police if necessary. The moment law enforcement was mentioned, our $500 refund was processed within minutes. This was, without question, one of the worst dealership experiences we've ever had. Between the misleading description of the vehicle, high-pressure sales tactics, contradictory information, questionable contract practices, and the difficulty getting our own money back, I cannot recommend Car Lux Inc. to anyone. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration, and buy your car somewhere else.

Sure they'll finance you.. but it's not worth it in the least. A cautious hit or miss. I purchased a 2018 Acura TLX in 2023--they stated there was no past damage or issues. During the test run the car wouldn't even start!! They panicked and whipped out the ol' battery charger and told me to go inside to discuss financing while they worked on the car (first red flag). Discussed financing and went back out to see the vehicle, they continued with the battery charger since it was still having issues (second red flag).. why display or attempt to sell a car that won't even start? Eventually they claimed they "replaced" the battery (found out they didn't). Made it home, & a WEEK later.. the ENGINE FAILED!! I went through hell with the financing company as I still had to make payments despite the car being out of commission for FOUR MONTHS!! It was covered under warranty, however, the auto shop claimed the engine had shards of metal & attempted to point the finger at me although I only had the car for a week. A loaner vehicle was also promised--but I was given the runaround & eventually lied to about accommodations during that difficult time. All in all, their methods were unprofessional, haphazard & performed bare minimum to resolve issues only enough to cover themselves. I read bad reviews beforehand but thought "what are the chances of it happening to me" & low & behold.. it happened. Please be cautious & very thorough before committing to this dealership. Too bad I couldn't leave 0 stars. I would have sued if I had the time, opportunity, & lived closer

We were then told by the sales staff that Hertz "does not work with" our credit union and that we would be required to use Hertz financing instead. We were told we could refinance later -- which would mean paying additional interest and fees that we had already avoided by securing our own financing. When we contacted Hertz Car Sales corporate through Facebook to confirm whether outside credit unions are allowed, we received a vague response saying our credit union "doesn't qualify," without any clear explanation of why or what criteria were used. This directly conflicts with what our credit union told us and mirrors what many other reviewers here have reported -- customers being pressured into dealer financing even when they already have funding in place. We were not asking for a discount, special pricing, or anything unusual -- only to use our own lender, which is standard practice at most dealerships. Refusing to accept outside financing effectively forces buyers into higher-cost loans and removes real choice from the transaction. We were ready to buy this car but ultimately walked away because we were not willing to take on unnecessary interest and fees just to complete the sale. We hope Hertz Car Sales corporate will review how they handle outside financing and credit unions, because this experience did not match the transparent, no-hassle process that Hertz advertises. Please put on your website in plan site that you limit outside financing

Before making the trip, I had multiple conversations regarding the vehicle and financing. I was led to believe that I was approved with $0 down and was even given information about what my monthly payment would be. I specifically communicated with them beforehand because I did not want to waste my time driving this far if the terms weren't going to work for me. When I arrived, however, the situation was completely different. I was told I would need approximately $3,500 down. What made this even more frustrating was finding out that my credit had not even been run when I had previously been given the impression that I had been approved. When I questioned the difference between what I was told before arriving and what I was being told in person, the explanation was essentially that the people I had been speaking with were part of a "call center." That was shocking to me because, as a customer, I had no reason to believe I wasn't speaking with representatives giving me accurate information on behalf of this dealership. Afterward, I started reading other reviews more closely and found another customer describing an eerily similar experience involving the call center giving information over the phone that did not match what they encountered after arriving. Had I seen that review beforehand, I would not have made the trip. I understand that financing terms can change after an actual credit application is submitted and reviewed by a lender. What I do NOT appreciate is being given the impression that I was already approved for certain terms, making a long trip based on those representations, and then finding out after arriving that the situation was completely different. Thankfully, I did not allow the time and effort I spent getting there to pressure me into accepting a deal I wasn't comfortable with. I walked away. My advice to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here: get everything in writing before making the trip. Ask whether your credit has actually been submitted, whether you have an actual lender approval versus a preliminary quote, exactly how much money will be required at signing, and request an itemized breakdown of all costs and fees. I was prepared to purchase a vehicle. I simply expected the information I received before arriving to match what I was presented with once I got there. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.

Just picked up my Jeep from service and I AM SO MAD!!!…read more I dropped it off for repairs. Two days later, they sent me 3 different, increasing quotes within 13mins of each other. The prices went from about $1200 on the first one (when he forgot to include labor, he said) to $2300 on the second one to $3500 on the third one. This isn't including the $3800 they wanted to charge for tires (I didn't ask for tires). When I reminded my guy that he forgot to include how much it would be to get a 2nd key for my 2023 Grand Cherokee, the price came back as $867.66. For a key I can buy online for under $100 brand new. I asked to put it all in writing, including the part #s, and let them know I'd be picking it up to take it elsewhere. When I went to pick it up, it took nearly 20mins just to pay and get my paperwork because my guy closed the ticket without printing out the recommended parts first which then apparently vaporized those recommended part #s. At least he wrote the part numbers in by hand but his proof they were correct was basically, "trust me bro." When I asked him why the prices went up a third time, he blamed their computer system for not calculating labor correctly (which didn't exactly make me feel confident of the final estimates). The, when I got in my car, I immediately saw ash from a cigarette (or who knows what?) in my center console. I don't smoke. I grabbed my guy and showed him and he apologized and told me to bring it back Monday for a free detail service but by then I was so sick of them, I just wanted to get out of there and never come back. On the drive home, the smoke started to get into my lungs and cause some irritation. The final kicker? I had found their General Manager's name in the comments of other reviews. She freely gave her name and phone number and told reviewers to call her to discuss. I thought I'd try it rather than leave a bad review. I called the ph# and an AI agent told me to "Dial 1 for the Main Line" which I did and then it immediately hung up on me. These guys suck so bad. It's unreal.

I was directed to a desk where a sales woman named Chi came to greet me. Chi was completely professional and I was instantly relieved by her professionalism after my walk in experience. Chi steps away and brings a print out with the cost of the car, "add-ons", "fees", taxes, etc. I expect a dealership to offer me add-ons so I was prepared for that. I was NOT expecting the add-on's not to be listed with more than a cost of an additional $7000, plus $895 for another fee. Nothing was line itemed and the cost provided to me was more than $47,000 for a car I was expecting to pay $35,000 plus taxes and registration fees. At $47,000 I could purchase brand new Tesla Model Y *Look at Tesla's official website*. I stand up, shake Chi's hand and thank her for her professionalism and say "Well this is not the dealership for me.", he says "Great!!" walks away and then I walk out. No "Junk" Fees: Charging for "valueless" add-ons--such as oil change packages for electric vehicles--is a prohibited practice. Bait-and-Switch Prohibitions: If a dealership advertises a vehicle at a specific price, they cannot later force you to pay for "mandatory" add-ons that were not disclosed in the original advertised price. This is considered deceptive advertising.
