I drove all the way to Torrance based on information I was given BEFORE arriving, and my experience was extremely disappointing and misleading. Before making the trip, I had multiple conversations regarding the vehicle and financing. I was led to believe that I was approved with $0 down and was even given information about what my monthly payment would be. I specifically communicated with them beforehand because I did not want to waste my time driving this far if the terms weren't going to work for me. When I arrived, however, the situation was completely different. I was told I would need approximately $3,500 down. What made this even more frustrating was finding out that my credit had not even been run when I had previously been given the impression that I had been approved. When I questioned the difference between what I was told before arriving and what I was being told in person, the explanation was essentially that the people I had been speaking with were part of a "call center." That was shocking to me because, as a customer, I had no reason to believe I wasn't speaking with representatives giving me accurate information on behalf of this dealership. Afterward, I started reading other reviews more closely and found another customer describing an eerily similar experience involving the call center giving information over the phone that did not match what they encountered after arriving. Had I seen that review beforehand, I would not have made the trip. I understand that financing terms can change after an actual credit application is submitted and reviewed by a lender. What I do NOT appreciate is being given the impression that I was already approved for certain terms, making a long trip based on those representations, and then finding out after arriving that the situation was completely different. Thankfully, I did not allow the time and effort I spent getting there to pressure me into accepting a deal I wasn't comfortable with. I walked away. My advice to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here: get everything in writing before making the trip. Ask whether your credit has actually been submitted, whether you have an actual lender approval versus a preliminary quote, exactly how much money will be required at signing, and request an itemized breakdown of all costs and fees. It looks like a tragic unloved waiting lobby for a detention center with metal benches bolted into the floor. The pictures on their website is a fantasy ILLUSION, no such facility exists. They astonishingly have multiple lots of cars that will sit there forever rusting and rotting. On seperate blocks believe it or not. YET if you sign up for alerts or to contact the dealership you get an automated text boasting that they sell 50 cars per day. "Jordan" on the phone told me 30 cars per day. HILARIOUS delusions! They got junkers everywhere. Scratched and scuffed and whole front fenders missing, just walking on the sidewalk a block down and they are lined up for all to see! I was about to purchase a $30K vehicle I was pre approved for and they just lost our business and I experienced the WORST customer service and environment I couldn't even imagine was possible. Do not waste your time or money with this place. I drove two hours for a 7:00 PM appointment that I explicitly confirmed with three different people, including Monte and David. When I arrived, the experience was a complete disaster. The employee who greeted me was visibly high, had absolutely no idea I had an appointment, and just pointed toward the car and told me to go look at it myself. There was also definitely a drug delivery happening right upon our arrival that we witnessed. After looking at the vehicle, another worker came out and flat-out told me they didn't even have the keys. He actually said, "We lose keys sometimes," with zero accountability. The entire office was disgusting, completely unprofessional, and reeked heavily of weed. When I explained that I had confirmed with Monte and David knowing I was driving two hours, nobody cared. They just dismissed me and said, "I'll call you when we get the key." When I called back to speak with David directly to complain, the Robert was incredibly rude and just put me on indefinite hold and then it hung up. I then called back and spoke to James who claims he was at the Hawthorne location, and he took zero accountability. He even admitted he had confirmed my appointment just three hours prior and actually laughed about the fact that the key was lost. Shortly after buying the vehicle, I began having serious issues and believe I was sold a lemon. Based on that, I followed their instructions and arranged towing using my AAA benefits to bring the car back. When I arrived, the manager, Robert, was extremely rude and dismissive. I traded emails with a salesperson named Mauricio to confirm that a car I was interested was still available. He said it was and I made an appointment to see the car right away. When I arrived, I was approached by two men and I asked for Mauricio. They were silent for a second. Then, without acknowledging my question, one of the men asked, "cash or finance?" I said it all depends. He paused, then introduced me to the man next to him (not Mauricio) and said this guy would take care of me. Set up an appointment to see a car, drove an hour to go see the car and when I got there they sit you down with the manager or who ever so he can basically tell you they're gonna charge you $2500 on top of the listed price for any vehicle you choose because of the 'disclaimer' on their website. And on top of that after wasting another 20 mins of my time checking their lots they come back to tell me they don't even have the vehicle and that it's in 'transit'. This company blatantly breaks the law. I confirmed TWICE over the phone that this car had not been in an accident and had no damage prior to driving 4 hours to test drive it. The car has been in at least one accident. Both the front and rear bumpers are damaged and separated from the frame. Rear brake light is broken with glass hanging off, damage to rear driver side door and rear passenger side wheel well. The conman trying to sell me the vehicle told me the more than $5000 in body damage could be "buffed right out". Conman also told me i was forced to buy the several thousand dollar Lojack package they had added on and that it could not be removed to i would be forced to pay for it. That is illegal. Avoid this dealership. Major red flags. Before we were even allowed to test drive a car, they insisted on taking us into a back room to start discussing numbers. That alone felt very high-pressure and uncomfortable. The car was advertised at one price online, but once we started discussing the deal they added thousands of dollars in "mandatory" add-ons, including a $2,500 GPS tracking device that they claimed could not be removed. When we questioned it, the staff suddenly changed their answers and insisted it was required. This kind of pricing tactic is misleading and wastes buyers' time. If a car is listed at a certain price, it should not suddenly jump thousands of dollars because of forced add-ons that many buyers don't even want. The environment also felt very unprofessional and disorganized, which made the experience even worse. We left without buying anything and I would strongly recommend others shop somewhere else. TLTR: A bunch of liars work here and I wasted 2 hrs coming to them. ---------------------------------------------- I made an appointment to see a Hyundai Tucson and drove over 2 hrs away with 3 little babies today 3/5/2025. Upon arrival, the place looks and smells like shit. Red flag number one. I was placed with a sale agent right away, who was from Lebanon, young tall guy - absolutely disaster! The guy was so moody, didn't even say hi, I had to introduce myself and all. He told me the car is in the garage and can't see it. I left the office and call the guy that made an appointment for me and he's been contacting me whole morning to make sure I am coming. He told me on the phone that the car is available and I can see it if I am in the office. I asked him to come meet me, he wouldn't and referred me talk to someone up front, I told him the situation and he hang up on me. We left the lot, called again and this time I spoke to another employee who said the car is available, I asked if I can speak to the manager and the manager said the car is available. When I told him of the situation, he said yeah sorry that car was sold several days ago. I was furious for being lied to. Those sons of bitches are fuckin scam and they will never earn my business. I made an appointment to see a used car at car world. I reached out to them and expressed my interest for a car, they said it was available to come in to speak to their sales associate. The price was great online and decided to take a drive out (45 min drive from home) and check out the car. Off the bat the sales associate said they add $3000 to price for an "anti-theft" device, lo-jack. I said I didn't need that, and the sales associate said that is how they work. There is no reason for them to force customers to pay for this. So if you find a car, expect that they will add another $3000 to price. read more
