I purchased a Honda in 2010 with cash. On the last day of the payment they said that everything is good to go and the title is in my name. I go to sell the car and the Title is missing so I go to get a replacement and the DMV says that there is Lein on my car (which I paid for and own outright) and I can't get the Title Without the Title I can't sell my car. So I try contacting Car Pool Auto and they don't answer the phone, their website is not registered, and I can't get this resolved. This company is a scam and terrible people own it. If you somehow find them, don't do business with them. read more

"Completely Untrustworthy", two words to describe Car Pool Auto. I bought a 2005 Passat Wagon from them, their ad read as follows: Beautiful, low miles Passat Wagon with an outstanding record of maintenance. Extremely well cared for. Super clean interior and everything works flawlessly. Runs and drives like new. Very comfortable, and quiet. Remarkably good gas mileage for a wagon too. This ad was almost a complete fabrication, it was a Passat Wagon, they got that part right. It drove fine on the short test drive, after driving the car off the lot about five minutes later the check engine light came on. I took the car back and my sales guy Corey said it was probably a gas cap issue and if it didn't resolve itself in a few days to bring it back and they would check into it. I took the car to Integrity Auto in Issaquah (great place by the way) where they told me the truth about the car. No one had done any maintenance on the vehicle in at least a year, not even an oil change. Here's the laundry list of what was wrong with the vehicle: Oil overfull and dirty, transmission fluid black, brake fluid failed inspection, power steering fluid dark, timing belt worn and cracked, serpentine belt badly cracking, motor mounts dry, valve cover gaskets leak, cam and crank seals leak, cam chain solenoids leaking, spark plugs need replacing, fuel filter needs replacing, throttle needs replacement, coolant leak at cylinder head, engine covers under car broken or missing, RF axle boot torn open and dry, air outlet pipe rubber elbow taped with electrical tape, tire sizes do not match, turbo overboost limit exceeded, solenoid misrouted, torn vacuum hose, thermostat needs replacement. Overall roughly $4500 worth of work. I called Corey and asked him if they had the vehicle inspected when they got it, he answered "Yes". This means he either lied to me or the place that did the inspection was grossly incompetent. When I presented the list of things wrong with the vehicle to Corey and explained that I was dissatisfied he got angry with me. He went on to complain to me because they took a loss on my trade in, how is that my problem? They made me the offer on the trade! I explained that I felt the vehicle was misrepresented in their ad and that I felt they should cover part of the expense. Corey started to yell at me. At this point I decided the conversation was over and ended the call. It's my fault for not having the vehicle inspected before purchase, I accept that, lesson learned. I'm writing this review in hopes that you will think twice before buying a car from Car Pool Auto. They falsely advertise the conditions of their vehicles, lie about it when confronted, and yell at their customers when the truth is unveiled. He gave us the keys to the vehicle and then went back inside and left us out there alone. Vehicle had transmission issues and when we gave the keys back, the guy didn't even care. If you have made any card payments with them, they have ALL of YOUR card information written on an index card in a box (with hundreds of others information as well) in the office desk on the lot. EVEN IF YOU TOLD THEM YOU WANT NONE OF YOUR CARD INFORMATION KEPT ON FILE! None of it is locked away or secure (anyone with access to the office can just get into any time they want) Trying to make everyone aware as they have charged our card without permission and forged our signature as well. When my significant other went to confront them that's when he saw the box. (Abram pulled it out of the desk and started going through it like no big deal) They're crooks and they don't care that they are illegally keeping card information and putting all of their customers at risk. Okay. So I definitely should've checked the reviews out before driving all the way up from Graham. And I should've taken it to get looked at, BEFORE purchasing, we did it right when everywhere was closing, so won't do that again. Lesson learned. I've been looking for a Subaru for quite some time now, and when I saw their ad on Craigslist for a black 07 Impreza 2.5i, we decided to call. We asked them the details on the car, which they said was clean, and completely stock. We asked if anything was wrong with it, because we didn't want drive an hour and a half if there was. So we look at the car, it looks perfect! Super clean! They cleaned the motor up nicely, which is why we didn't realize it was bad. I decide to put $2500 down and finance the rest! On the way home, as I'm following my boyfriend in a different car, we realize the taillight is out. We hadn't realized sooner, as it was still daylight when when we test drove. (It's illegal to sell a car off the lot that has taillight, headlight, blinker etc not working) I decided to take it to PIA, in Tacoma, they specialize in Subarus, to get the taillight fixed, because I didn't want to drive all the way to Lynnwood again. They decided to take a look at the whole car, and told me that, the head gaskets were literally about to start pouring oil, and that without a doubt, the motor is from a junkyard. They said not to drive it more than needed because it was about to expire on me. And told me straight up, to take it back. And that it'd cost about $5000 just to do a complete motor rebuild. I was crushed, I was so excited about this car! So not only is it not stock, they also really have no idea how many miles are on it. We drove back to return it, which took a lot of arguing. And he agreed to cancel the financing, and refund $2000, of the $2500. And he "accidentally" made the check out to be cashed 11/13/2015. Thankfully we caught it before going home and had him fix the date so we could cash it immediately. Pretty expensive little lesson I learned there. They told us no other dealer would've been that nice, which I don't doubt, and said "You should leave us a good review!" LOL. After that nightmare. NO WAY. But anyway, I saw they have posted the car for sale again, for $8995(?). And just wanted to warn everyone out there, it's not a good deal! Sure the head gasket and timing belt have been replaced (supposedly) but that doesn't change the fact that it will still need either a new motor, or a complete rebuild. Take it to a mechanic before you purchase it! Don't make the same stupid mistakes I did! I don't want anyone else to get screwed over!!!! read more

While they mostly have nicer trucks, I got a sweet little compact car that came in on trade at a fair price. The owner, Mansour, was courteous and didn't play the salesperson games that are so annoying. He pointed out the good and bad things about the car and was patient with our questions. The paperwork went really fast and he was quite efficient and thorough. A bit of advice: park at the Auto Zone next door as the parking is pretty tight and there's not a lot of room to turn around with all the shiny big trucks. I've only had my car for a day, but after a whopping 50 miles I'm happy. I'll post updates if there are any surprises, so no news is good news there! read more

I'm just writing this because my experience with them was so different than what I read in the other reviews. I called them up about an outback I was thinking about buying. My first question was whether it was alright to take the car to get checked out by a mechanic and the response was "Sure. Before you spend this kind of money, that would be a great idea." I really appreciated the willingness of the guy I spoke with to answer my questions and dealing with me completely above-board. I ended up not buying a car from them, but I still had a great interaction with them that showed plenty of professionalism, fairness, and plain old courtesy. Come see it before it's gone. I went to view the car and took it for a test drive. Everything went well during the 5 minutes that I was driving it. I was a little skeptical and didn't want to commit to buying it without a mechanic looking at it. They told me that they would pay for their mechanic (down the street, seperate company that has nothing to do with their sales, so he is not biased, I made sure of that) to review the car as long as the deal goes through. While I was driving it to the mechanic, the traction control light turned on. During the mechanics bumper to bumper electronic inspection, the traction control light turned off, but the ABS light came on. He said he was out of time but that he would have to fix this for them since it happened on his watch. So I drove it back to the dealer, during my drive back, the ebrake light turned on. When I got back to the dealer, they said they would make sure all of this got fixed before I bought it. They wanted me to leave $200 down payment so they could pull it off of the market. My mistake, I did. That night, I got really, really skeptical about the deal and decided I wanted to pull out. I called them for the next four days without a response. I was hoping to at least get the down payment back and even willing to pay for the mechanic as we agreed. They refused. Over $200, they are willing to get a review like this. Bought an F350 at a great price. I noticed it had a couple of steering connection joints with play and got a $250 discount at purchase. Two days after purchase I took it to Leschwab to get it fixed, and learned it needed 4 additional parts changed which included ball joints costing me $909.00. I called back to dealer and he offered to cut me a check for $300 to make me happy, and he did! Now that is customer service! BEWARE, UNSAFE VEHICLES! I recently took a vehicle at this dealership for a test drive. Upon starting the vehicle the warning chime that indicates the airbag light has been tampered with went off. I took the vehicle for a test drive and I could barely keep it on the road because the front end suspension was in such disrepair. I looked up the car fax and it had been in a wreck and two of the most recent owners got rid of it within a month. When I originally called about the vehicle the salesperson assured me the vehicle was in perfect running condition and that it had no body damage. I told this person I have my 11 month old son with my frequently and he assured me the vehicle was safe. He obviously thought I was a fool who knew nothing about vehicles which was especially frustrating since I drove a couple hours to see it. Everything he told me about the vehicle over the phone was untrue. This dealership clearly has no regard for anyone's well being. read more

The salesmen here pick up cars from auctions and rarely know the actual condition of the car. I came all the way from Bellingham to look at a Toyota Echo that had been posted on craigslist. Not only was the car moldy, but it shuddered when taken out on the freeway. I asked to have the car taken to a mechanic for an inspection, which took a lot of convincing. This is the model of car I have been looking for and they are hard to find stateside, so I took the risk. They canceled the inspection appointment and moved it to Monday without contacting me first, 30 minutes after the time of the appointment. When I reminded him that I had to go back to Bellingham, he asked me for a ride back from the mechanic if he was going to do this. The mechanic closed at 4 and I had been lucky to get the appointment on a Saturday, I had made the appointment for 3pm. Not only did he call and tell me had canceled it at 3:30, I had to scramble to get him to take the car and find a ride for him. To top it off he calls me 20 minutes later as I am racing to get him, thanks to the help of a friend, he then tells me he found a ride after I went out of my way to come pick him up. The mechanics (Sunnyland auto) were very kind, stayed LATE to check the car, and then let me know that not only would it not pass emissions, as it needed a new catalytic converter, but it needed brand new front tires, an oil change, a tune up, and a plethora of other issues. It also had 5,000 more miles on it then what they advertised. After I told them that it is not ok to sell a car that cannot pass emissions, he belittled me by telling me that as long as it drove off the lot I should be happy and maybe I just needed to buy a new car because there are no guarantees. Not only did I waste an entire weekend, $75 for a diagnostic, but I got belittled and taken advantage of by men who really do not know what they are selling. They couldn't even run the carfax because they did not have the prior license plate. I had a family member run the carfax. VERY POOR service. I would not trust these people.
