I gave it 5 stars because they were friendly, professional, quick, and have a nice large waiting room with FREE WIFI!! I happen to hit them at a good time, and it took ~30-40 minutes for a wash and exterior wax. They were friendly from the beginning, continuing when I went to pay, and asked if I approved of the job before I left. I'd say it's moderately priced. Not the cheapest wash/wax, but I've definitely seen much more pricey places as well. Get the coupon online, and their quality work is well worth it. The wax was OK. I say that only b/c I typically wax my own car w/ TurtleWax which brings back the paint color like you wouldn't imagine. CarSpa did nothing wrong or below my expectations. The short version is that car spa damaged my vehicle and have given me the run around for over a month without fixing it. I was a repeat customer who brought multiple cars there for years (probably spending a couple of thousand dollars all together). Never again. Long version: 1 month ago, on a Saturday, I came in for an oil change and general cleaning (inside and out). After the oil change but during the cleaning inside the car, an employee broke my rear view mirror off in such a way that it couldn't be reattached. The guy who broke the mirror was very apologetic and I wasn't particularly upset about that (accidents happen). What did bug me was waiting beside my car for 30 minutes until a manager (Juan) could look at the damage and take down my details. On the back of their copy of the receipt, I wrote down my name, number, make, model, VIN, etc and since it was the weekend, Juan promised to call me on Monday with a resolution. No one calls me on Monday. I wait until Thursday to call them and after 20 mins on hold am told that the part has been ordered and that they will call me when it comes in. No one calls me the following week. I call on Friday and after a lot of hold time, I am told that the wrong part arrived, had to be returned and the correct one ordered. I will be called when it arrives. No one calls me the following week. I show up in person on Sunday and talk to Juan (who doesn't remember me of course). I describe the repeated calls, the repeated runaround and how after three weeks, this just needs to be made right. He promises, to my face, to make amends and take care of me and fix my mirror. I am clear that I will wait 1 week and if it is not resolved by then, I start posting my experience online. That was 9 days ago. Car Spa, your staff lie to your customers, repeatedly, on the phone and in person and it reflects very poorly on your company as a whole. It must be obvious by now to anyone reading this that they never ordered a replacement mirror, let alone a second one. It was a lie to get a customer off of the phone. I have used this car spa for oil changes, car washes, and gas. If you pay for your car wash at the pump, it takes off 25 cents per gallon. It goes from being very expensive gas to more of a competitive price. However, this is the first time I pay for the car wash at the pump. I paid the 17.00 price. It says, "Platinum PLUS Exterior (without a further description that I could read). I pulled to the vacuum area and got out of the car. They told me to get back into the car because they don't vacuum the "Platinum Plus Exterior" cars. I said, can I at least vacuum my car. I was told that if I wanted it done, I have to pay a higher price. WHAT!!!!!!!! I could have washed my car there for $6 and got my gas elsewhere. I felt ripped off!!!!!!!! Secondly, there is another carwash on Kirby that at least give you a coin so you can vacuum your car yourself. On Shepard, I can get my car hand done for $23. AMAZING...... Carl read more

HOWEVER...since last year when I have attempted to get a car wash, they have either had no water (multiple times this happened) and like today, their car wash machine is down. I don't know how they stay in business. But it is very frustrating to hear that they They need to get it together. read more

I've finally had it with this place. They are so close to where I live, so I kept trying to make it work but one frustrating experience after another, I'm done. They don't allow you to add tip to your receipt and they don't give cash back or have an ATM. Also, they advertise a discount on gas if you buy a car wash, but you have to buy everything at the pump, and there is no option to do this on their machine! The people who work here don't even know how it works and won't come out to help. I have called their customer service line to sort out my frustrations, but could not reach anyone and never received a return phone call. I'm giving 2 stars because I've never had an issue with the actual wash job, and their lounge area is comfortable and has free coffee. read more

My boyfriend is pickier about people washing his car than George Clooney is with his model girlfriends. Boyfriend's car is LOW and Car Spa is one of the few places he trusts to was his car. The attendants take waaaaaay more time than average to ensure that the rims and interior are clean and shiny. Although the lines are generally long on Saturdays, they not only deliver quality, but a timely deep clean. It's truly the next best thing to a full detail (usually a few hundred dollars). read more

Could not even get an oil change! Their customer service is terrible. I took my 1998 Honda to get an oil change and I was told that they could not do it because the hood opener was broken, I told their representative that I was aware of the piece being broken, that I was given them permission to open the hood and that I really needed an oil change. Their customer representative then told me that they were a high profile car spa because they are located in the midtown area and that I needed to take my car to a shop outside of the City, are you serious! They are not a high profile car spa, this is just a simple gas station with a small area in which they performed small car maintenance and a car wash. They are not professionals, I have been going there on many occasions just because they are near my job and they always take a long time to come to you when you are trying yo get a car wash. You go in and park at their car wash waiting for someone to come and assist you and they take 10 mins or more just to come and there are employees just standing and looking at you. I had to hunk the horn a couple of times for them to come and help me. But after today, I will not go to their Car Spa no more. Don't go there!!! read more

I came in on a Sunday to get an oil change. There was no wait at all and the guys were so polite and helpful. I paid about $25 and got a free car wash. The whole process took less than 40 minutes. This is walking distance from where I live, so no brainer...I will definitely be back! (And I LOVE their air freshener scents!) read more

Do NOT go to this place. First, the big guy up front tries to up-sale you on another item every time you go. Most recently, I had an item STOLEN out of my vehicle and they did absolutely nothing about it. Everyone from the guy up front to the manager to the boss are extremely unprofessional. I brought in my car and asked the attendant how long it would take to get a wash and have the interior cleaned. He told me that because they weren't busy, I could be out in about 30 minutes, and it would cost 39.95. The wash happened quickly, but my car sat abandoned, with the key in the ignition, in a parking space next to the street for about an hour and a half. When they finally did get around to doing something with my car, they hardly touched the interior, and the small amount of cleaning they did do was with a dirty, sour rag that caused my car to stink. They apparently went over the inside glass with the same filthy rag. I couldn't see out of them. I didn't have time to wait any longer, so I wasn't able to raise hell and get them to do it right. I did have to stop at a Walgreen's on my way back to work and buy some window cleaner, so that I could see where I was going. The smell from the nasty rag lingered until the next day when I took my car to Aqua Hand Car Wash and had it cleaned right. The people at Aqua were really nice, and they didn't charge me for cleaning up CarSpa Midtown's mess. My advice for anyone considering CarSpa is DON'T. There are plenty of other choices in the area. read more

I took my car in for a Full Service Gold wash. As I drove off I noticed my sunglasses and case were missing from the pocket on my door. I called to speak with the manager who told me it was my responsibility to take valuables with me. I agreed and told him I only phoned to let him know that he had a thief as an employee. He promised to look into the matter and review the surveillance video as only 4 people were in my car. He promised to call me. I have never heard back therefore I will not be back! read more

Went for an oil change, they sold me on an engine and fuel system flush (my poor car needed it anyway so I agreed) and all seemed well and good. Then he said he could check my check engine light (CEL) and turn it off for me for $15 bucks, which I also agreed to. I'll just note that I had to remind him at the end to check it. But the kicker was when he told me that he'd already totaled the services on the computer so I could just pay him cash for that (this is the mechanic not the cashier by the way). I ignored the comment and once inside asked the cashier to add the CEL service to my bill. She informed me they don't charge for that. When I walked out to get my car the mechanic tried to hit me up for the $15. When I relayed what the cashier said he was pretty awkward and I just got in my car and left. Terrible service! Pumps broken and have to pay inside. Greeted by a Mexican girl who was rude and lacked every customer service skill in the book. Blamed ConocoPhillips for not coming out and repairing pumps. Trashy place and run down. Example of every business that is run by a person who cares more about profits of quality. Don't go here under any circumstance. They set the gas pump after you pay and ask how many gallons you want...hence you don't get to fill up because you have to prepay. I came in at 9:00 am on Sunday, was first in line, and was out of there (including my free, basic car wash - normally $6) less than 30 minutes later. Are you a loyal customer? Then keep on driving right by here. If you would love to argue with a manager here for 3.59, then bring your car here. The signs on your pump are misleading and I simply asked you to consider the facts, I then suggested you look at my vehicle and realize that my request was reasonable, however you said "I don't need to look at your car" fair enough mr. Manager, your obvious 6 months of coming to work paid off greatly. Nothing wrong with your job and title, however arguing with a customer may be your strongest skill. Then the funniest thing is I sit down with my receipt and you beg for a Yelp and other review, guess you didn't consider the big picture. It's fine no reason for me to get upset or act in a manner that would embarrass me, I simply will just find another place to spend my money and my 10 years of being loyal disappears. Please don't waste any money on advertising and trying to gain new customers, it's clearly not what the management has decided to do here. It's very funny to ask for a review on a receipt knowing full well how this may turn out. But hey your business only gets 3 stars as a average so no need to set any standards higher than just being average. I'm Done. Been a customer at this location since opening day for oil changes, state inspections, wash packages and occasional gas purchases. Unfortunately, during my last 3 visits a trend sends to have developed that 'service' and maintaining a loyal customer base no longer matters. Prior visits have always been a great experience. However, 7 weeks ago: paid for the full package that includes tire cleaning/dressing; got home, only the front wheels dressed. 4 weeks ago: full package + shampoo cloth mats; mats were placed in trunk because they were still wet; got home to hang mats for drying-apparently the mats were scrubbed down in the driveway in back of the waiting room and left long enough to be driven over several times rendering them unclean-able. Forgave that and just bought new ones to make use of a $50 gift card i had on hand for over a year. Last visit on 1/4/2016 for oil service package/filter-$44. Service guys and time spent were nice/great as usual. All ruined at the payment counter when I attempted to use my Conoco/P66 card I've use many times here: "I'm sorry, we can only accept this card when you're buying gas". Me: Really, when did that change? "We used too but my manger doesn't let us take it unless you're also buying gas". Asked for the manager (can't remember his name). Mgr: "Right, yeah, sorry, we changed our policy; we been having trouble collecting on these". WRONG MANAGEMENT ON DUTY ANSWER/DECISION CAR SPA and Strike 3! I have mixed feelings about this Car Spa. I've used is many times and the wash and service itself is usually pretty good. However, I have been there twice in the past month and they have been "out of water" or the water has been "turned off" therefore they could not wash my car. I'm not sure what's going on but I don't think it's the water. I live on the block over and have never had issues with the water being turned off. My guess is they have employees who do not show up for work. It's in a great location so my advise to the owners are find some more reliable employees or take better care of them or risk loosing your business. There are several car washes within a mile of the Car Spa and for what you charge I do not need the frustration. Best of luck. read more

Check all receipts before leaving. I was charged twice for same car polish, once at pump an once at counter. Been trying to clear this if for a week and still isn't right. You would think with the same card being used it wouldn't take a forensic investigation, which pump did you use, color year and make of your car? Worst detail I've ever had done on my car. Vacuum job was horrible, if even done at all. Paid an extra $8.00 for leather conditioning. If the price wasn't rt and if car spa wasn't near me i definitely would NOT go back!!! I have a monthly membership go at least once a week.. However, my car is never clean. Idk if they just get lax or what but i pay for the interior and exterior. I always come back to the interior looking the exact same - finger prints, dust, build up in the cup holders, and mats looking the same as when i delivered the vehicle. I usually don't say anythg but this week i finally decided to address it.. this week my issue was much bigger than a dirty vehicle... this time they had given my key to another patron and given me her key. The employee then tried to tell me that was the key that was in the vehicle when i dropped it off at no time did they try to appease me. Make sure I was good or tell me what was going on. Please do yourself a favor and do not go to this car wash. My sister has been a loyal customer for over 10 years but after a careless incident that occurred last week. She, nor I will ever return. My sister brought her new high end car for a wash and when they sent it through the machine wash they failed to check if any windows were down, causing gallons of water and soaps to enter the car and soak everything inside the backseat and damages to the car's electronics. At first the management accepted liability for any damages to the car, but after getting an invoice from the dealership they refused to accept responsibility. Now she has to go deal with her insurance and possibly an attorney. They are clearly irresponsible and I would not recommend bringing your car here. read more

I have visited the Car Spa on several occasions for an oil change and car wash (mostly because they are close to work). I have never been completely satisfied with their work. Meaning that, they do NOT do a good job ever! Today was the last straw. Not only is the wait time at the Brazos location completely horrible but they have the WORST CUSTOMER service that I have ever dealt with. If you visit this location Do NOT expect to get in and out in a hurry. Add about 1 to 2 hours to any wait time that you are quoted by the mechanics. They have never actually been able to complete the job in the time that they said it would take. In fact, they don't even come close! Also, do not expect them to re-set your oil change indicator light in your car. They forget every single time! And to top it off they never replace the sticker on your windshield to remind you of the type of oil that was used or when the next oil change mileage will occur. Also, the car washers do a very poor job of wiping down the vehicles, and at turtle speed I might add!!! I can barely even tell that they vacuumed the car. They do a very poor job! I give this place two thumbs down!!!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! If you have all the time in the world and you don't care about quality work, then this is the place for you! read more

I went to the location on 1960 near 290. This is the first time this has happened to me as I go there regularly enough to go through a few punch cars a year. I got treated very badly and disrespected beyond belief. I bought my brand new truck of only 2 weeks old to get a full service wash. First they removed my antenna and chipped the paint off of it while removing it. They wanted to yell at me cause I left my bike rack on my Truck hitch. This is the final straw that irks me that bad I have to contact the corporate office. My truck was finish and I got in it -- the first thing i noticed was a smell of "under armpit" I figured it was from the guys that were drying my car so I just drove off with my windows down in hopes the smell will go away. My job was literally 7 mins away and when I arrived I rolled up my windows and the smell was still there. I called the car wash place and the very unhelpful assistant manager Shawn answered. He kept cutting me off and telling me that the smell was my fault. Again, I must say, I just bought this truck 2 weeks ago and this was it's first car wash.... He did ask for me to bring it back up there but I told him as I told them when I was there I only have an hour for lunch so I need a quick but good wash. So i told him I can not bring it back up there as I have to work now and have school right after starting at 6p. As I kept trying to explain myself he kept cutting me off saying he cant promise me anything as it may not be car spa's fault... AGAIN I JUST BOUGHT THIS TRUCK TWO WEEKS AGO. My car had the new car smell until today. I kept telling him that and he gave me the same answer as he can not do anything as it not car spa fault and he kept saying that he was busy and had to deal with other customer.
