I was told the inspection will be "ten minutes" so I purchased frozen items from Market Street next door. Returned thirty minutes later where I saw staff member just getting into my car to start inspection. I waited forty-five minutes. Paid, went to my car, couldn't find it. Had to go in and ask clerk to help me. Still half-way parked in garage. Got in car. No key. Went back in to ask for my key. Clerk couldn't find it. Mechanic shrugged and didn't know where my key was. Went out to garage where another mechanic said it was "right over there", pointing toward a wall. Was given my key abruptly with no acknowledgment whatsoever. The technician who we first went to for the oil change even remembered us and our service from last time and gave us helpful info for how we can maintain our car without visiting a shop. Horrible experience today after many many years of giving them my business with both of my cars. I sat in the car inspection bay as the signs indicate to do and as I've done for years and no one ever came. Two employees looked at me, one being the general manager, but no one said a word. I finally exited my car and asked if the inspections were closed. They said no and "just because you are first in the inspection bay doesn't mean you are first for an inspection. We have cars in the parking lot in front of you." By the way, both of those cars came after I parked in front of the inspection bay as the signs instruct. It is decent at minimum to acknowledge a customer's presence and alert them that their practices have changed and there is a wait. This way, they wouldn't waste the customer's valuable time. I assume that they would have had me sit in my car another thirty minutes without even saying hello. I no longer recommend this location and am disappointed that the customer service has dropped so low after so many loyal, wonderful years with them. read more

Manager here is great and helped me a few months ago when I arrived for Inspection without my current proof of insurance. My 16-year-old son took his Toyota there yesterday for oil change. They quoted him $54 and he called me to make sure that was OK. I said yes go ahead and get the oil change. Then when he went to check out the bill was just over $87. They said his Toyota forerunner took some unusual type of air filter and he needed more oil than they quoted. I called back to talk to a manager who was of no help and he stated the general manager would call me never received a call. Call back again today talk to another manager who stated they couldn't do anything. This place is a total rip off will not be back here. Horrible experience. I paid for a full interior/exterior clean, upholstery, carpets, vents etc. The price list specifically mentions consoles would be cleaned. Well that didn't happen -- there was still debris in the console -- so that hadn't been done. It was late in the afternoon when I picked up the car. All the windows were up and IT SMELLED SOOOOOO BAD. There was no smell when I dropped it off! It smelled like dirt, mildew and body order when I picked it up. I was expecting a fresh clean smell or a scent. I paid approx. $90!!! It smelled so mad I had to sprinkle baking soda over the all of the carpets and seats; and leave the windows down for two days! This Car Spa location in Plano was my go to place for my Audi Q7 until I was approached today by the general manager, Ryan, treating me as if I were a criminal accusing me of theft of services for a complimentary car wash I was receiving with the receipt on my car's dashboard. I came in 2 days ago spending $130 on detail service and wanted to take advantage of the complimentary car wash today after the rain yesterday. I arrived at 8:07am and was provided a receipt which showed $0 due for the complimentary wash. My car was left wet so I ended up standing in the lot wipe drying my car for about 20 minutes before a worker came to assist, mind you the place was not busy at all. Then I was approached by Ryan telling the worker off and having me stand there until he phoned the front office confirming I did receive the detail service 2 days ago and saying "we will only do this for you once." I called right after on my way to work to express my disappointment and Ryan accused me again of theft of services as well as undermining my waiting and telling me my statements are factual. WARNING..... CarSpa at Preston and Park damaged my driver side window by taking 20-25 chips out of the window tint and nice big scratch on the INSIDE of the window. To make things worse, the Manager was rude and condescending. The gentleman who took care of me the first time was concerned and agreed there was a problem. The manager just stared at me and said there was nothing there that could have caused it. I calmly told him that it wasn't there when I brought the car in and I certainly didn't do it on the way across the street to pick up my daughter from school! I was only gone for a few minutes. He looked at me and smugly said, "Sorry", shrugged his shoulders, and continued to just stare at me. I have been a VERY loyal customer and have even recommended them to many friends..... NEVER AGAIN! I'm confused by all the other reviews because I had really great service today. But I didn't go to Car Spa for a carwash, I went in for an oil change. It was super fast. The attendants helped me right away and I spoke to someone named Ryan in the Express Lube area and he was super helpful. He explained everything in detail, told me about future services that were suggested at what mileage, explained all of my options to me. I thought it was fine. I only got an exterior wash though. They could have dried it slightly better though, but really it was hot today it would have dried by the time I drove back onto the road. read more

I've been to this car wash many times with no problem. However last week when I went to get my car washed my antenna was accidentally ripped off. When I realized it the assistant manager was very quick to apologize and said he would fix it he said he would give me a call the next day. However in the weeks that followed he avoided my phone calls was busy whenever I showed up in person and did not return any phone calls. The level of dishonesty is disappointing. You should not offer to fix your error if you're not going to hold up to your end of the deal. I cannot believe in this day and age that people just avoid phone calls and don't return them I don't allow you to see them in person for a simple fix. It was very busy, and I was very impressed with the friendliness, courtesy, and efficiency of their staff. I even enjoy the free cup of coffee. I went to Car Spa because my husband said to get my car washed. I have had several problems in the past. I waited 45 minutes. The girl was working in the car. A guy waived me over. I went to get in the car. I had change in my back seat. The Girl sucked up all my change with the vacuum. The cup holders were filthy. I paid for extras. The manager came over and tried to say it was my fault since they were not finished? I asked him why was I waived over. I told him about the money that was sucked up also. Well, I don't fully understand the many horrible reviews for this location. I have been going here for years, and generally the employees have been professional and courteous. Plus, they tend to do good work when it comes to washes. Today, however, I was very disappointed to learn that the corporate office had jacked the price of a hand wash upgrade from $10 to $24! I'm not great at math, but that is like a 150% increase. The total charge went from $29.99 to $44.99 overnight. This is a sad way to treat long-time, loyal customers. Damaged our car. Went in pristine, came out with crack windshield, big chip, deep scratches in the driver and passenger windows. Immediately called them over, where the GM blew us off. Then he called some guy over to state that we had asked about windshield chip repair so "prove" it was already chipped. That was an outright lie. The guy that came over had not spoken to us. Only used them b/c we had an inspection to do. Now we have about $2000 in damages to a practically brand new, pristine car and a $500 deductible to boot. We used to use this location before pandemic and will not step foot again. Not only did they blow us off, they lied about it too. Scum of the earth. And to boot, they charged $25 for a car wash and the car had dust all over the dashboard and dirt spots on the outside. Absolutely disgusting. Heard them yelling at staff for doing things wrong. We believe staff intentionally damaged our vehicle. No other explanation (they said it was cold window, hot wash on a chipped). That does not explain the damage. BLEW US OFF in seconds. Sexist jerk. For a decent car wash and interior work, car spa isn't all that bad. If I were more anal about the exterior of my car, I might write a harsher review, but in all fairness, absolute perfection isn't my expectation when it comes to car wash/lube services. Although, one out of the two times I've had the interior cleaned, my car was left with a chemical-like scent that lasted for weeks. 3 stars for a decent car wash and interior work. What brings this review down to 1 star is the one thing I absolutely will not tolerate- when businesses take advantage of their customers. There's a very high chance that you will be asked by a car spa worker before stepping out of your car if you'd like to fix a "chip" in your windshield. It seems like a gesture of proactive customer service and care, but in reality, it's car spa who ends up with insurance money in their pocket while you're dubbed to think car spa has just saved you from further inevitable windshield damage. Yes, it's a quick process where they bring you inside to fill out paperwork and call your insurance company. However, I fell victim to this scam once in the past and returned recently for another wash to find myself in the same situation. I was officially convinced this was a scam on the second visit as soon as I walked inside to find a couple customers sitting with car spa employees discussing the chip in their windshield and filling out paperwork. I'm not sure how often this happens, and maybe they did see a chip in everybody's windshield that day...I just wanted to make sure everyone's at least aware. I wanted to keep my yelp account strictly dedicated to fooding, but this place is just so phenomenally horrible I couldn't resist. I've only come here for inspections, and with each experience more ridiculous than the last, I can honestly say I will never step foot in this or any other Car Spa ever again. The first time, it was slightly raining when I pulled up to the garage. A kid comes running over and starts rubbing my windshield vigorously with a cloth, telling me the glass is no good--he's not able to dry it easily and thinks it should be replaced. Though I'm confused with his claim, I think nothing of it at the time and tell him I'm not interested in buying a new windshield. A couple days later my mom takes her car in, only to come home with a similar story. This time, however, her windshield was sporting a crack (invisible to the naked eye, obviously) that required her to replace the entire glass. Unbelievable. I don't know if they only send the kid out when it's a woman driver or someone they think isn't knowledgeable in the field, but seriously? That's completely unacceptable. I'm almost insulted they thought I would agree to purchase an entire new windshield based on a 20 yr old's ten second analysis. During other visits I've been overcharged extraordinary amounts ($25 for a SINGLE wiper, $30 for a headlight) and just downright lied to (told me fuel tank cap would cost $7 but charged me $14. I only noticed until after I got home, and by then I was so sick of the employees' snarky attitudes I didn't even bother driving back). Basically, if you like being lied to, disrespected, overcharged, and scammed while having your car inspected, come here. If not, go to literally any other place. read more

I can't stand this place. I feel like they employ very shady sales tactics, and it's getting to the point where it's so frustrating, I don't want to go there anymore. Basically, when I pull up to a car wash, I am fine with someone showing me the different packages they offer. However, as a repeat customer, I generally know which car wash "package" I want to purchase. Depending on the employees standing out there greeting the cars, you might be exposed to borderling harrassment/aggressive sales techniques in order to sell you a higher priced wash. (I have really only experienced this with the male team members, but maybe that's coincidental on the days I've visited). 1) You pull up, they have the placard with the different washes turned to the most expensive side (the cheaper options such as exterior, exterior with tire shine etc are on one side of the placard, while all the expensive detail options $49.95 & up, are on the side they show you). This bothers me, because it's like they are trying to deceive you by making the first impression that they don't offer less expensive options while they try to sell you on one of the higher priced packages. 2) The homeless looking windshield repair person comes up to your car immediately & makes a serious face like your windshield could fall apart at any moment if you don't have the numerous miniscule chips he has located fixed right then. They make sure to tell you it's complimentary under your insurance. I told them I didn't want the service done, because nothing with insurance is ever "free," but they persisted and kept trying to tell me how dangerous any chip on the windshield is etc until I finally had to yell at them that I didn't want it. 3) Numerous times, in an attempt to sell the most expensive package, they have done things like run their hand over the paint of my car or run their hand over my dash and say something like "when was the last time your car was waxed? they recommend waxing it every 3 months." Or, your dash looks a little faded, you need to have the dash re-conditioned." These sales tactics are borderline offensive, as no one wants to come to a business, pay money, and then have someone insult their vehicle just to sell them something it probably doesn't need in the first place! Maybe they just do this to me because I have a nicer car. I drive a 2013 BMW and have always brought in cars that are 1-2 years old. No, they don't need dash conditioning or wax. In fact, I caught them in a lie one time implying I needed wax, when I told them I'd just had my car waxed AT CAR SPA less than 2 months ago. I don't know if they just prey on people who are easily manipulated, but the high-pressure/scare tactics some of the employees there use SICKEN me. I will promptly interrupt them now & say, I'd like the 24.99 wash, please. END OF STORY! I understand the business wanting to upsell & use suggestive selling, but they need to do it in a classy, low-key way & respect that if someone says NO, it means NO! Employees should not use insulting tactics to convince you to buy something. The good thing is, they do generally do a good job with the washes. Unfortunately, their trashy tactics are actually costing them money, because it makes me wants to not go there simply to avoid the hassle of the crazy employees. read more

Not sure what has happened to this place. I am not one to complain, and I should have looked at the reviews from the past couple of months because you can see something has definitely changed. This is the second time in 3 months that my car comes out looking really no better than when it went in. The front of my car has alot of chrome and when I looked at it, it was completely water spotted, still dirty , still had bugs on it! Third row seats were down when I pulled in and had never been popped up to vacuum. Windows will have to be redone after I get home from work. Very frustrating. I come here because it is convenient for me while at work. But at $30 for a car wash and have to go home and fix it myself this is a no go. The one in Allen is much better and I never have issues. Typically, I'd wash my car myself, but my car had reached a point of having so much bird feces and tree sap that I looked like I was driving a paper mache car or a bird feces mobile or Big Bird's sh*t with wheels... you get the point... That being said, I decided to take it in today, and ended up getting easily talked into getting a full detail job and wash. Totaling to $100, considering that the inside of my car looked like someone emptied a lawn mower bag on the floors, I didn't think it was a horrible price to pay. The staff was extremely polite and they gave me a discount on the total price. My car looks cleaner than it has in years, and the more basic washes are cheap enough to be worth it and you'll be in and out in about 10 minutes. If you spend 30 min or more washing your own car the 5-10 bucks for the basic wash is more than worth saving your time. Definitely will continue to go back every other week or so to maintain. read more

Well it just that it had been a while since our car had been washed and they took quite a while to clean it. When "completed" the interior windows were not clean, exterior windows barely done. The moon roof was not cleaned ( you know the glass portion on top that you just have to open the moon roof glass to clean). There were spots on the vehicle that I removed in front of them after the wash by using my shirt sleeve and some water. This was 44.95, not 13.00 or even 24.00. Car looks good from a distance... Never going back as there are too many places that would do better for less. read more

When I first moved to Dallas I needed an oil change right away. I work nearby so I thought Car Spa would be convenient. Everything seemed ok, they badger you a lot on upsells, but I got what I needed. About 6 months later I returned for an oil change. Two guys really started hammering me on how terrible my car looked under the hood and how I needed all this stuff done because the last place I took it did such a lousy job. I was confused since the last place I brought it was this Car Spa. That's when I remembered I still had my out of state plates the first time and this time I had my new TX plates. When I explained and they found me in their system they backed off and said it wasn't the service from last time, but the new climate that caused me to need so much work. Bad form. I got my work done and left, no plans to return. Last week my car wouldn't start, I was my battery. I called AAA and they easily fixed it- cleaning the corrosion off. He said that I should find a new place to get my car serviced because there was a lot of corrosion on the battery that had been building for a long while and any place that hadn't seen or fixed it was bad news. Just a heads up, I think they can handle a wash, but I wouldn't let them under my hood again! read more

I wish I would have read reviews before taking my car here. While the wash was fine, I'm extremely disappointed that my trailer hitch ball mount was missing after the wash. I called the next day and was told someone would call me back but heard nothing. When I went into the car wash in person to ask if they had misplaced it or found it, I was simply told "hmm that's heavy." Also missing was my car sun shade. Lesson learned. I visited this place 7/4/13 and had horrible customer service. I dropped my car for a detailing and hand wash that was promised to be completed in 1.5 hours. They had my car for 5 hours and when I arrived the car still was not complete. There was still dirt in and on my car and they did a horrible job of trying to cover it up with Armor All. The manager, Cruz, did not even care or own up to their mistake in having my car for so long. He asked me "So what do you want me to do about it?" I have always been very happy with their work! They take the time to help me remove all car seats so they can get in and clean under them and will fully vacuum the carseats also to get debris out from them. Then they will help me put the seats back so I drive away with nothing amiss. And those seats are HEAVY so it's always appreciated! read more

I brought my suburban in recently for a simple oil change. This morning my car had a catastrophic oil loss and i almost burned out the engine. I had my regular mechanic take a look and he said the last filter was installed incorrectly. I took the car and my repair sheet in today and Savannah was great. She took full responsibility, reimbursed my repair costs and gave me credits towards future work. Yes, I am not happy that the original mistake was made, but the shop immediately recognized and admitted the problem and showed genuine remorse. Mistakes can happen, being responsive about it is something else and it goes a long way to making things right. i will go back knowing that they will stand behind their work. read more

Terrible experience with oil change service. I pull in and ask for the price of the oil change. I'm a woman so I'm not really good at these stuffs. I want to check the price first before do it. They drive my car inside, and let me know the price. It is 60$ which I can get at Honda dealer for $32, so I say I don't want it. One of the guys say it loud "get out of here". I feel so bad for their attitude. I know I can't afford for 60$ oil change but u don't have to say that, and u don't have to drive my car in and open the car. I haven't say want the service yet. One of the WORST customer service I ever had seen... you will be treated normally when u pay the money they charged you and when you talk about the coupons not getting applied even in cases of the free car wash for the oil change, You will be treated like some one who is trying to rob their money off... be prepared to spare some time to argue and win the coupons, if you still wish to use their services. They will not be ready to re work on the invoice but will be ready to disappoint a customer... I had a plastic piece on my car which no one is aware of where it came from... the car wind shield is not clean....
