Their tint is what I have found to be UV and UVB blocking for both types or rays (short and long rays). Other bad reviews mention they've been waiting as long as 20 minutes just to get service, some longer than an hour, some a few hours, not even for the job to be finished but just for the service to start. Well let me tell you me and my sister were there for 6 hours. Never have I seen a place with such ignorant people that would let people wait for 6 hours just for a car to be detailed. This is absurd and they refused to compensate for this time. My sister was crying and they kept on assuring the car would be done when they were doing other things the entire time instead. As for the "car detailing" service itself, this is definitely not worth $60. You can get the same results with a rag and a vacuum. Might as well go to your local car wash instead. Took my car in to have an alarm put in it cost me $500 and this is what I got a viper alarm it has a keychain two way you're supposed to see what part of the car that you're breaking into but you can't see any of that from mine plus my battery is half used this is supposed to be brand new alarm. it took them six hours to do I had to wait they told me it was going to do a whole lot of things and it does nothing it's the cheapest little alarm with the smallest little siren. When it goes off it sounds like a toy. I absolutely will not ever go back there.Funny thing is I was ready to spend a whole lot of money there and get a sound system and everything but there's no way now their prices are way more than what they give. I bought a back up camera two years ago and it stopped working. When I called for appt, they told me I could wait and they would assess if it would be long since we were not that local. When I got there had a couple of issues. First guy who checked me in (I was first in store when opening) stopped in middle and started working with new customers and left me in limbo. Then the mgr who was helpful appologized for info on appt and was helpful, but I had to leave car. I found out that my 2 year old camera was broke and needed to be replaced. I get that. I was told the wiring needed replacement as they didn't sell that same camera anymore. When I asked for some discount since it shouldn't break after 2 years and I also shouldn't have to pay for new wiring there response was no. Dissapointed they didn't offer a discount for repeat customer especially since they stopped selling the camera type which forced $150 wiring charge on top of new camera. 1. Mechanic makes appointment on my 2005 Ford Escape to eliminate onboard security system and add aftermarket. Would be hour/kill switch only. No door sensors. Work is confirmed, and has been done before. 2. I drop off car, confirm exact work. Told "yeah, yeah, we can do it" 3. Pickup, confirm work. Was read from the work order, and told it was done. Walk out, remotes don't work. Walk in, they apologize, and fix it. 4. Car at home keeps going off. Realize it now has two alarm systems that aren't in sync. Call store and get Sarah the store manager. Tells me "good thing it is in warranty or I would be out of luck". Said they should have overridden the system, and to bring it in on Tuesday personally to her and her installation manager. I ask for her to read the Work Order to help understand what will be different. She can't find work orders". 5. Arrive Tuesday, and wait despite having an appointment at 10am. I have to explain everything to the person at the counter. He says, no big deal. I push to get Sarah, who eventually makes her way to me to tell me to meet the installer. Installer eventually comes out, and says, nope can't be done. Back to Sarah, who says, it is what it is and shows no empathy. I request refund. 6. Get a call one hour later. No VM. I call back. I have to figure out why I was called. Told work was done. Hear Sarah and installer saying this never can be done, you never override and laughing about me. Went there 1st time in 2020. Got subwoofer, new speakers, tracking system, front and rear camera installed. Pretty happy with everything, beside the rear camera, the guy, who installed it let the cable literally hang so much, I could hang my tshirt on it. But they worked with me, had to bring it the next day and they fixed it. Went there for second time few weeks back with my other car and wanted a tracking system. I chose the one which according to the box, was suppose to track the car, see the routes the car was driven on, turn on and off the engine, unlock lock the car, let me know if the engine is on and off, if smbd messes with my car and etc. Spent $450 for that product and install. Well out of all of the advertises on the box, the system does only 1 thing and that's track, where the car is parked and that's all. Nothing else, even thou the box said it has all the other features.. Came there next day explained to the manager that the box advertises other features and he told me: " well you wanted tracking system and it does do that." I told him, I chose this product bc of all the other features this product offers according to the box too and he told me again, it tracks the car that's what you wanted, if you want the other advertised features, you have to buy the security product we offer for few more 100's bucks. I got pretty mad so I asked him to remove it and refund me the money. He said ok, but the installation won't be refunded. After that it got me thinking to spend few more $100's and get what he told me, but then I told myself, well they don't stand for the product they sold me with all of the false advertising, then they don't deserve my business and I won't give them any extra money ever again. So I did not even call them back bc I'm still so disappointed how shady that place is!!! Anyways to finish the story, I bought a product, which advertises several features on the box, but actually it does not do any of them beside 1. Manager unwilling to admit the mistake that I was not informed the product is a lie. In my opinion, the hurst location is a shady place, liars and I won't never ever be back. My expectations were not very high when I made the appointment to bring my car in for an interior car detail. Kyle, the new Manager, assisted me. Kyle was friendly and informative from the moment I walked into the establishment. The technician that worked on my car was Brian. Brian was also courteous and professional. They both made suggestions about additions to my Groupon package but neither of them pressured me or made me feel bad when I declined. I did end up purchasing a simple exterior wash. I left my car there still apprehensive because of the previous yelp reviews. I was amazed when I picked up my car. I have taken my car to be detailed in other places and Car Toys did the best job. This store is a joke, I was having trouble with my amp and so I went in and talked to a gentleman. Asked him what he thought it could be and he asked if I wanted to replace it. I said I don't know if I can fix my current amp that would be great but if I need to replace it I'll do that too, he just looked at me like he was dumbfounded. I asked if he could maybe help me take my panel off to look at the amp he said "the internet can help you" he then said if I wanted to replace the whole radio to power it he would do that for me. UPDATE: Turns out that the subwoofer setting was turned off - fixed by changing the setting on the pioneer unit. These guys told me to buy a new subwoofer and they would install for $100 - what a joke. Don't waste your time. They were really good with the installation and were very interested in my business and actually did a good job installing. I had a problem with my subwoofer not making any sound. I called him up on the phone I asked if they would take a look at it. They said sure come on in. My wife and I showed up, asked if they could take a look. They acted like they had no time for us and made us wait. Said to us before they even looked at the car that it was blown and they had no time to look at my car as the installers were too busy. They asked who I talked to on the phone. Edit: def overcharged, go to dfw audio zone. Car toys did not put back any of the screw mounts to my dash. Went to CT because I needed help with my 2014 Ford F-150 with sync. I had an amp and sub but with the newer vehicles I wasn't sure about the wiring into the stock head unit and tapping into the wires. Anyways I stopped by CT on a Sunday and they were pretty helpful with suggestions and alternatives as I didn't want to spend too much money on labor and overpriced products which seems to be how most of these businesses operate. They were able to squeeze me in and got it done within a couple hours. They charged $150 to install the line out converter and wire it to the amp. Several other places quoted me the same thing for the full install of everything: amp, subs, line out converter, wires etc. Gave 4 stars because they were able to install fairly quickly. Didn't give full 5 because I think $150 is quite a bit and also I was told my power wire to amp was loose and they fixed it without charge. Like how much do you charge to tighten a wire? in my life of sixty plus years, I have never ever know, heard, experienced a more unprofessional worthless business than hurts car toys. I had just purchased a used Cadillac for my wife. After driving the vehicle for slightly over a year, I hear a radio commercial, advertising Cartoys, I mean car toys. I figured I'd like to upgrade the stereo for our wonder vehicle. made an appointment and brought the vehicle in, for a radio upgrade as well as many extras. I spent close to three thousand dollars. waited on my feet for over an hour. I am disabled,and unable to stand for more than ten minutes without pain. I asked the manager several times if there was a chair I could borrow or someplace I could sit. his response was always NO! that was bad enough. after an hour of excruciating pain, I,was called outside to be shown my vehicle. there was no radio and the manager told me that there was a short in the wiring system, so we're unable to complete the installation. they took the radio and everything I purchased out and kept it. I was told I needed to fix the short that now exist. I was never able to find anyone to repair the damage the caused, so end up junking the Cadillac. I requested that I would like my money back and they refused. saying that they would put my radio in there possession into another vehicle. that is just one experience. I had a radio installed in my truck which was the worse shedding job ever seen. the battery now has a terminal clamp that was jury rigged. it does not fit and was clamped into position by squeezing (crushing) the sides with plier! Needless to say it comes loose at times and I have to squee back on in order to start my truck. I would not least this piss poor unprofessional group of car terrorist touch my grandchild's tricicle never mind anything else. If you go and have work done by these shade tree mechanics kiss your vehicle and say a prayer. I recommend find anyone else beside these electronic butchers. I needed a new radio that had Apple CarPlay and SiriusXM on it. The salesman took me to a pioneer radio showing it had both. I asked if they could install today....they said sure. After agreed upon price, they started work. 30 minutes later the salesman told me he forgot that there was a $100 fee to connect the rear camera...replacing the harness etc. Not happy about that....felt like bait and switch. Manager gave me $25 off. Btw...they didn't need to replace the camera harness, still paid for it. They finish the work and we review the work. No SiriusXM channel. "Oh, you didn't tell us you wanted the tuner installed!". Charged me another $160 for the tuner and labor. Won't use them again. A MUST READ BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS BUSINESS!!!!! I took my car in to replace my old stereo which was working perfectly fine but I just wanted to update it with the same name brand with the car play feature. When my husband picked up my car and that night when I was going to work, the navigation was tell me to make a u-turn in the middle of the freeway. So when I get to work and I turn off the car the radio turn off. They had straight wired it to my ignition!! I got off from work the next morning and the navigation wouldn't come up. We took it back and they updated the stereo but couldn't figure out how to put it back where the radio would stay on until I open my door. One of the employee tells me that's the only way to hook it up and if they hook it up the other way the radio won't shut off at all. So I told them to take their radio back and put my old radio back in. Now they said they could refund the price of the stereo but couldn't refund the installation fee. They said they would have one of their more experience technician look at it. He fix the problem where the stereo turns off when I open the door but NOW no heat or air is coming out my vents and the stereo turns off if I turn my lever up to 30 and the navigation and my music is now playing on my phone. I took it back for the 4th time (including a dry run when the manager said he would be at the store to fix all the issues.) So my husband took it back for the 5th time because the navigation isn't showing the side roads like it was before. One of their employee try to tell my husband that feature only comes on Google maps (WHICH IS A LIE) and I'm not STUPID!! I never had google maps and I have an iPhone and that feature was on the old and new stereo when they first put it in. I figured out how to have the feature to come up WITHOUT their knowledge. Still after the 5th time the radio is still turning off and kicking the navigation and music back to my cell phone. So today I called the corporate office and I'm waiting for their call back to get a full refund including the installation fee. Took my car there to have an amp and a two subs installed. they screwed up the installation and wired a 1000 watt amp to an 800 watt sub. My sub blew within 24 hours. They won't own up to the mistake, replace the sub or refund the 211.00 install price. I now have to dispute the transaction through my bank to get the money back. Oh, and if you have to deal with Lonnie, the manager with no authority, BEWARE, because he is a TOTAL DOUCHE BAG!!!!!!! RUN FROM THIS PLACE AS FAST AS YOU CAN. Terrible customer by tech and manager. I bought a groupon for interior detail. I'll try to keep it short. They asked what areas to focus on and i asked to clan to carpet by the seats. He said they couldn't guarantee they he can get the stains out. Me: That's why I'm getting it detailed. Tech: We don't clean the seats. Me: what? Then this is pointless. Tech: Here are your keys. (As he passed me he said) Its in the fine print of your groupon. I waited to get a refund and talked to (who i assume is) the manager. His attitude was also terrible. I explained what the tech said and he backed up his tech. I showed him the groupon. 1st line. Vacuum floors, seats, etc 2ns line. Clean cloth and leather seats. I told him his his told me "we don't clean seats" Manager corrected me that it just means vacuum. I showed him the 2 separate line items and that they were separate. I told him what the tech said and the manager said, "I heard you the first time". You NEVER say something like that to a customer. EVER!! I remained calm and never raised my voice or got an attitude. It's not how you conduct yourself. I am just amazed how they treated me. Completely in shock. **Side Note** If I help just ONE customer avoid the shock and lack of customer service that I had then I would feel better. I needed a Bluetooth (after market) module/adapter installed in my LX470. This wasn't just a cigarette lighter adapter kind. I took it to Audio Sound in Bedford and was BLOWN AWAY by how nice they were. Install was quick. I had a hardware issue (bad wiring harness from the manufacturer) and they took care of ordering a new one and replaced it for me. It turned out to be a very simple wiring issue but they didn't want to fix the problem without replacing all wiring which was going to cost me $425. Fred got me the Samsung Galaxy s 3 with an otterbox case for an amazing deal that no other store could get me! Though Car Toys was my last stop/choice im glad i decided to go. I just had a complete car audio system installed by Car Toys. The technician that did the work was, K and the sales men my wife delt with was Mason. Both of them did a great job. During the entire process they keep me informed of any techical issues and out lined my options. Once the work was finished I had a couple issues that required more work. Phil the shop manager made sure I was seen the minute I called the store and made sure the work was completed to my satisfaction. In total I had 6 speakers, one sub, one amp and one head unit installed. I am very satisfied with all the work and the products puchased from Car Toys. Keep up the great work guys! read more
