    store hours that do not match the Car-X website or Google business listing

    I visited on a Sunday since both their official website and Google business profile list them as open. They are not.

    i don't know about the rest of their services, but trying to get an emissions test has been a nightmare. the first time i tried to get it done, it was saturday around 2 pm. i walk into the lobby, there was one guy behind the counter, one guy standing next to the counter, and someone else sitting in one of the chairs. i stood there for a few minutes before the guy behind the counter asked what i needed. i told him an emissions test and he said they were done for the day, that they only go till 1 pm. okay, fair. i didn't know the times because they weren't posted anywhere online. i asked when they do it, and he told me m-f between 8 am and 6 pm. okay cool, and i left. monday comes, and as soon as i get off work, i head right over there. got there shortly before 5 pm, and park in a spot. there was someone double parked because the lot was full. as i was walking up to the lobby, the woman with the double parked car was walking out of the lobby. one of the service techs walked up to her and asked if it was her car, and she said yes. he asked what she was there for and she said emissions, to which he replied, "oh, we're done for today." i turn to him and say that i was told they did it till 6 pm. he just said they were done. the lady seemed shocked at that as well, which is weird, because she came out of the lobby without knowing that they were done for the day. so either she wasn't told that, or wasn't helped while she was in there. before we both left, i asked when they start, and he said 8 am. okay, fine, i'll come back again. thursday (today) was our next available day, and my wife had time so she went right at 8 am. when she got there and walked in, the guy behind the counter asked what she needed and she said emission and put the card on the counter. he then told her they don't start till 9 am. now, my wife admits that she maybe got a little hot, but she tells him that's not what we were told. she said that he was very short with her and said again they start at 9 am. there was a little back and forth, and at one point he told her he doesn't have time for this and that he had other customers to attend to, but there was no one else in the lobby. at that point, she told him to "eff off" and he then blew up at her, cursing at her, telling her to never come back and that we're banned. as my wife was walking out, she took a picture of the emission hours sign on the door which clearly states that the hours were indeed between 8 am - 6 pm. at that point, he gets more angry at her for taking a picture in the lobby (of just the sign with the hours) and then proceeds to pull out his phone and starts recording her saying "oh you want to take pictures? fine, here's what a curser looks like." really unprofessional and kind of creepy. at this point, i don't care if we're banned there. based on these experiences alone, i would never go there, nor would i ever recommend anyone to use this location. if you read other reviews, you'll see that this isn't an isolated incident, especially when it comes to their attitudes towards women. we've filed a complaint with the state about its inaccurate emissions hours and behavior.

    Emissions test. Waited nearly an hour. Multiple cars spilling out onto Ashland. Manager was rude and useless.

The repair cost seemed fair, though on the higher end of the expected range. One issue came up afterward: when I picked up the car, the tire pressure light was on. I initially assumed it was nothing serious, but by the following evening, one tire was completely flat. To be clear, I understand there's no way to know for sure whether the tire was damaged while the car was at the shop or while I was driving it home or the following day. I genuinely acknowledge that uncertainty. That said, the timing concerned me. I took the car to Just Tires, where I had purchased all four of the tires in 2022. I was told that the flat tire could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. Replacing two tires, which is fairly typical (depending on tread wear and matching) was recommended. The total cost, including tax and installation, was about $575. I discussed the situation with Ken Papas at Ashland Tire, and I appreciate the way he handled it. He didn't dismiss my concern, but he also fairly pointed out that neither of us could pinpoint when the damage occurred. He offered $150 toward the replacement cost, which I accepted. I think that was a reasonable, good-faith gesture, even though covering the cost of one tire would have felt more satisfying. I'm leaving a positive review because the exhaust issue has been resolved (so I assume the original repair was done correctly) and because Ken handled an uncertain situation professionally. I'd consider using Ashland Tire & Auto again.

    My car was making a weird whirring noise under the hood. I emailed with Ashland Tire to find a good…read moretime to drop it off. Dropping off at 7am was a breeze. Many other folks had the same idea, so I knew this place was reputable (in addition to all its great online reviews) They gave me a call by 10:30am letting me know they could fix the whirring with a new belt. Also identified my brakes were at their end of life and offered to replace. Their quote for 4 new brake pads was extremely reasonable. By 1:45 my car was done being serviced and I went back to pick it up. Easy check out. No line. Very nice staff. A complete success. Definitely will use Ashland tire and auto for all future car needs and will recommend to all my friends

    On June 24, 2026, I had went to have my annual vehicle inspection as required by Lyft. While I have…read moreno complaints about the inspection, my review is about the customer service of this location by some of the employees. One person in particular is Marcos Barrera. On July 14, 2026, I had to return to this store, travelling 12 miles, because the inspection report that I had to send into Lyft wasn't dated nor signed. Upon arriving, Mr. Barrera was at the counter. I told him that had an inspection and the paperwork wasn't signed. He asked me when and where I got it done. I showed him on the bottom of the paperwork that it was at this location. I then inquired about the training of mechanics filling out the paperwork completely. This is where everything went south. Mr. Barrera remembered an encounter almost a year ago. I have returned to this location several times for inspections and tire repairs without any issues. Mr. Barrera stated that I'm always causing problems. I shared with Mr. Barrera that I had to travel 12 miles to get this inspection sheet signed, and he shrugged his shoulders which seemed to express to me that he didn't care. He also expressed that he didn't care if I made a complaint about him either, which I did to corporate office. It should be noted that when anyone calls Just Tires corporate office, the complaints go to one office. A call is then placed to the store and the store manager about the incident. It's handled internally. The store manager, may or may not reach out to you. When I asked if there is anyone else I can complain to to make sure Mr. Barrera's customer service is made aware of, Madison, the customer service agent said no, just her. So if the store manager and their employees give bad customer service like I experience with Mr. Barrera or mechanics that fill out the paperwork don't do the job that they were paid to do so the customer isn't inconvenienced and have to travel back to the store to get it done correctly, corporate management will never have the ability to correct these management issues to have a better customer experience.
