I really enjoyed BC Bistro! We got a booth which I recommend if you can get it since the restaurant is a little small. Some people also come to watch sports by the bar so I recommend sitting away from the bar if that's not your jam. There is also a large free public parking lot a short walk from the restaurant that makes parking easy. The service was very friendly and they kept offering us more free bread, we didn't have to ask, which my husband loved. The cocktails looked huge and popular but we went with the wine. They have a good selection and the pours are a good portion. I saw a lot of people order the French onion soup which looked good but we didn't get. The filet mignon was very good quality and well cooked. It came with mashed potatoes that were flavored well and grilled asparagus. The bearnaise sauce that came with it was so good I cleaned my plate. My husband got the skirt steak and he said he really enjoyed it, particularly how the chimichurri sauce had a bit of a kick. We tried the apple crumble for dessert and thought it was just mediocre and don't recommend. Overall great restaurant, we would definitely go back!

Beautiful place!! This was my first time there and WOW!! The staff were absolutely wonderful and sooo courteous! My mom is wheelchair bound so the staff was extremely accommodating to our needs. We attendees for brunch and OH MY GOODNESS! Not only did the food look delicious, but it tasted great! You almost didn't want to eat the food because it looked so beautiful! We had an absolutely beautiful time for such a special occasion! You'll also run into some "danger" by walking next door to the Buttercooky to grab a delicious dessert! I'll be back again for dinner in the future!! Thank you BC Bistro!

Update second time at BC Bistro knocked it out of the park again! They were so accommodating with our seating. We were a part of 3. My mom loved her Octopus appetizer and burrata salad which is always so fresh!!!! The octopus now comes with tomatoes and onions and she stated the onions were absolutely delicious. Had an awesome server named Donnie - amazing service he deserves a huge raise!!!! Italian Egg Rolls were pretty good filled with cheese, sausage and broccoli rabe. My gnocchi appetizer was delicious the mushrooms in it were high quality and delicious giving the dish a wonderful flavor profile. We all ordered the tres levhed cake and it was sooooo good! My mom was upset she finished it bc she wanted more. It is a decent size and I was so happy our server poured evaporated milk all over it. -

I am passing by this place for the longest time and thankfully with group of friends persistence, I was able to try it this time. We had our reservation set , the room was half filled when we walked in. We requested to moved to a better table location and the staff did not give us a hard time. Meals are shareable with no extra plate fee. Drinks are on point. We tried their holiday cocktails . We were not disappointed. Mixed appetizers and few entrees were ordered and we were satisfied with its taste. This bistro is a great addition to our neighborhood. Next to its location is popular bakery if you are up for sweets and coffee afterward. Staff is great.

Food was pretty mediocre to good for a brunch place. Easy to get reservations and attentive friendly staff. However, it took forever to get our food. We were only a party of 5 with 2 children.

4.25 If you enjoy a nice, creamy arrabbiata sauce, come to BC Bistro in Floral Park. My family and I visited to celebrate several birthdays. None of us had been there before, but it received really good reviews, and with a mixture of Italian and American cuisine, we were sold. It's located on Jericho Turnpike, not too far off the Cross Island, so it's pretty easy to get to. Although it's on a busy street with metered parking and a municipal parking lot on the next block, there is plenty of parking in the residential area surrounding it. You can enter the restaurant directly or through Buttercooky Bakery (where the "BC" comes from). The interior is nice and inviting, and the staff is very friendly. Food-wise, everything was pretty good. We had the crispy zucchini and eggplant, prosciutto pizza, BC salad, penne with sausage, cauliflower cavatappi, the arrabbiata pasta dish (not shown on their online menu), beef short rib, duck breast, and a skirt steak special. As mentioned in my opening line, if you like a creamy arrabbiata sauce, you should definitely get this dish. It also comes with burrata right in the middle. The other dishes were okay; I was surprised that the duck wasn't too gamey and had a lot of flavor. My least favorite was probably the cauliflower cavatappi. Will I come back again? Absolutely--especially for that arrabbiata dish!

Great meal, beautiful clean interior. Acoustically - a little loud but tolerable. Service- very attentive . Starts with a basket of Italian bread, which I always appreciate now and enjoy. Good menu with vegetarian options. Two fish dishes and an extra one , one of the specials of the day . Lots of appetizers / salads to chose from . The tuna tartar was excellent ( could use a little less wasabi on the plate). Dessert was good and from the connecting bakery. Buttercookery! Delish. Would definitely recommend , a nice festive meal. Nicely decorated for the holidays also .

Great ambiance upon entering. We were seated quickly. The menu has a lot of variety which made it difficult. I considered many options then selected the lamb chops, medium rare. My companion had the burger. Of course I had to try a sliver of the burger first, and the fries. The burger was juicy and delicious and the fries were not too crispy and not soft. Delicious The lamb chops were a tad overdone, but plentiful. They weren't as seasoned as I anticipated but otherwise were ok juicy and bit tough. The spinach and orzo sides were absolutely delicious. There was enough to eat and have a take home meal. My doggie got a treat of lamb bones. We both tried the tres leches desert which was layered with a creamy sauce, very moist and delicious. Quite plentiful as well I enjoyed my meal and dessert and will surely return for another entree.

Food was really tasty and good. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, not overcooked. Portions could have been more but I was able to walk away full.

I love Buttercooky, it's my go to spot for cakes. I was intrigued when I saw on IG that they opened a restaurant and couldn't wait to try it. Unfortunately BC Bistro was pretty disappointing. I dined on a Sunday for brunch, they don't take reservations, we walked in and waited 1/2 hr to be seated (party of 3), there were open tables in the back but the hostess told us that area is not in use. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks as we waited, the bartender was very attentive but you can see he was clearly overwhelmed. The waitstaff was very friendly, our food came out quickly, but it was just mediocre. Menu was very limited, not as many brunch type options as I expected. Nothing special on the menu or anything that shows off their extension of the bakery. Food was bland, needed salt, pepper, & hot sauce. Eggs Benedict needed some sort of sauce, short rib hash was dry, omelet was basic. They don't even have any specialty teas or coffees- why not serve the beverages they post online? I'll be sticking to the bakery side from now on

First and foremost, the bartender Steve is absolutely wonderful and makes the drinks strong and tasty. Second, it's so nice to have BC Bistro as an addition to the neighborhood. Think similar vibes to The Harrison but more cozy. Third, the food is great. One of my favorites is the tuna tartare which is accompanied by a wasabi sauce which has a pretty nice kick. All in all, glad to have this spot in Floral Park.

Came here on Christmas Eve with my family. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. We thought the Christmas prix fixe menu was a bit expensive, and the appetizers were very small portions. My dad ordered the egg roll and it was just one egg roll cut in half. My mom did get a large portion of calamari. The entrees were delicious and I really enjoyed my duck. They also gave me a huge slice of delicious carrot cake.

Every time I go to BC Bistro, I think I love it even more. We were looking for lunch and thought why not. The brunch menu was available, but there were plenty of lunch items to choose from. We opted for the burger and the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake sandwich, was seriously the best I've ever had. The crab cake itself was loaded with crab and not filler. Served on a soft bun with red onion, lettuce and tomato (which was an excellent tomato for it being February). It was just fabulous, I feel like I inhaled it. Served with yummy fries and a pickle. The burger was a hearty one. It was juicy and beefy and seasoned perfectly, it was delicious. Also served with fries and a pickle. As always the service was wonderful and I'll go back to BC Bistro any time.

Portions for both dishes were generous and took home the leftovers. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the infamois complimentary bread, which were really good. The second and most recent time we went was for dinner with the a huge group of moms. We shared the Caesar salad, Brussels sprouts, and general two's cauliflower, which was amazing. I had the red sangria and a taste of the Huckleberry lemonade, drinks were strong. For the entrees I ordered the salmon and once again portion was huge, took it home and the hubby ate the leftovers. Other moms ordered the frose, spicy paloma, le poulet and spicy Rigatoni. At the end we had key lime pie which tasted great but I was too full to finish it. The new hostess and the greeting by Phillipe could not have made us feel any more welcome. We were offered a choice of seating and while we love the look and feel of the back patio it was a bit too cool and breezy out there.... We decided to sit in the front room as it is generally quieter and more low key. There were many larger groups with celebrations and you could see they were all having a good time. Our waiter Luis, came and introduced himself, brought our menus and inquired about water, drinks, etc. We told him we wanted only pumpernickel rolls: they are warm, fresh out of the oven and truly addictive. Our waters and my white Zinfandel arrived shortly thereafter. Our fresh goat cheese salad arrived with the raspberry vinaigrette and as always it was carefully divided. Luis came to check on everything as he and other staff members ( both members who we know through dining here repeatedly over the years) and new additions. Everyone always treats you like family. Very good pacing of the meal.... Nice and leisurely, not rushed but no long breaks between courses. Then our main dishes arrived. My husband had the pappardelle with mixed seafood, no sausage- plentiful and loaded with flavor. I get the shrimp a La Rodos.... 5 very nice sized shrimp with with lots of diced fresh tomatoes and feta cheese, served with my 2 favorite side dishes- mashed potatoes and beets.... All YUMMY and very generous portions. My husband's Stella Artois arrives in a nice cold glass with the main dish, as requested. Luis again checks on everything and then shortly thereafter we get the surprise of the evening. Peter, the new owner stops by and chats with us. It was a pleasure to meet him: we are sure he is very busy running back and forth between his two restaurants. and making sure that everything is going smoothly. We had a lot to talk about. Well, he has a tough act to follow but so far the food, service and hospitality are still 5 star !!! We ended our meal on a high note. A FABULOUS meal has to end on a sweet note. We were offered about 5 or 6 dessert choices. We selected the chocolate mousse cake. A rich, creamy sweet conclusion to a superb meal served by a warm, caring staff. Everyone including Luis, Felipe and the new hostess gave us a fond Farewell on the way out. We eagerly look forward to returning after their vacation at the beginning of August !! Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.

I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

Hundredfold fits that atmosphere perfectly. Before eating here, we asked an employee from one of the neighboring stores if the restaurant was any good. She told us she loves it, not because it's one of the few dining options in the center, but because the burger is so good that she has to limit herself to one or two a week. The staff was friendly, and the décor inside looked nice. (Sorry, we sat outside because it was such a beautiful day, and I forgot to bring my phone with me when I went inside.) We ordered the spicy tuna, crispy beef tacos, scurry-roasted carrots, the Hundredfold Cheeseburger, and the Butcher's Reserve, which was a filet. The spicy tuna had a nice kick and was served over crispy rice that was actually crispy. The beef tacos were also very good. The beef itself was a little underseasoned, but if you eat it altogether with the cilantro, cheese, crema, and taco shell, everything came together nicely. The Butcher's Reserve was served with mashed potatoes, broccolini, and gravy. The steak was cooked slightly more than I would have preferred, but it was well seasoned, so it was still enjoyable. The standout, though, was the Hundredfold Cheeseburger. It was a double smash burger with cheese, served with fries that were just as impressive. The carrots were fine, but they weren't particularly memorable. If you're in the area and craving a really good burger in a laid-back atmosphere with friendly service, Hundredfold is definitely worth checking out.
