    Delicious cheap margaritas

Back again. Drink the margaritas and the food won't matter, right? Today I had the menudo, which was flavorful, not watery like it had been for a few visits. This location has great employees, great margaritas and to be honest doesn't need much more. It's basic fast food Mexican food that will fill you up and be decent on the spectrum of Mexican stops. Come have a margarita, maybe 2. Get an uber with 3

First time and I had the best experience. The food was amazing, the service was the best. I chose outdoor table because I was with my service dog. The ambiance was amazing. Thank you and I will be back.

Came in with a large group. Food was hot and fresh, though this is the first time ever out of all their locations and as many time as we eat at a Carambas was different. The beans and rice tasted so different. Same with the taquitos. Lacked flavor. The rice was much more colorful, and was good according to our girls, but just not the same recipies they normally use. After lunch I ordered my husband a meal to go, along with their house margaritas. They fill it to the Hilt. So delicious.

Carambas (59th Ave & Utopia) catered my friend's memorial service which I was in charge of setting up & serving. Steve delivered the food on time and it looked amazing! As a retired caterer, cook & Hispanic myself I pay attention to the all the details. The presentation of the entrees was awesome! Everything looked beautiful and was absolutely delicious! They brought a generous amount of salsas, guacamole & sour cream. Both salsas & guacamole were outstanding! The chips were fresh and the salad was beautiful! Not every Mexican restaurant can make good rice, but they did! I HIGHLY recommend Carambas for your next special event! You'll be glad you did!

Patio eating area. Covered with misters

The new carambas is open!! Great food and some of the same great staff. Really nice bar area and patio. The entire family loved eating here. Will be back. Street tacos - fantastic. Large pastor tacos - fantastic. Primo margarita is still my favorite margarita just about anywhere. If you have an EV, there are 12 charging spots by the restaurant. If you dont have an Ev, there was ample parking all the way to the west in the parking lot. We may park out there even on the weekends and evenings, just to enjoy the walk. Otherwise, it's a busy parking lot.

    Chicken Chimichanga

We had a hankering for Tex-Mex food, so we begin our search for a restaurant where we had not yet dined. We are visiting from Tennessee where good Tex-Mex restaurants are few and far between so, we are trying as many restaurants as possible in search of the perfect chimichanga. The chimichanga is what I ordered and "Ay Caramba!!" Definitely in the top 5. The presentation was absolutely a work of art, with the sour cream, pico and avocado on top sprinkled with cheddar cheese. It was truly a sight to behold. The tortilla was golden brown and crispy as it should be. The chicken was melt-in-your-mouth delicious' My wife ordered two chicken enchiladas and they as well were perfectly plated. But here's the reason for not achieving a 5-star review: the chicken was not piping hot as it should be. It was warm. Acceptable? Yes but not perfect. The margaritas are fantastic. And they do not skimp on the tequila. They also offer bottled margaritas as a takeout option. There is a self-serve salsa bar and the mild salsa is spot on. The restaurant has a large outdoor patio and the interior is divided into two spaces: the main dining area is family friendly and the Cantina has a full length bar and caters to an adult crowd. It is obvious that there is a hopping crowd in the evenings. We will definitely return and this time, we will make it known that we prefer entrees that are piping hot through and through.

Their "classic chunky salsa" is from a jar. Mine arrived via GrubHub frozen solid. Absolute garbage.

We were pleasantly surprised by this Mexican restaurant on 83rd Ave. and Peoria. It's a large…read morebuilding with lots of seating at booth tables and bar area. Put your name in at reception and you were taken back usually after a small weight. We didn't have to wait yesterday. The servers are really friendly and checked on a frequently refilling hubs soda a few times without him having to ask. Our waitress also brought us an extra bowl of spicy salsa because she saw we had eaten all of it. Just brought us another basket of hot and chips. On our first visit, I got enchiladas and instead of rice and on the side I decided to choose their potatoes. The potatoes are so delicious. I love them, and I will look forward to these again when we return. Today we ordered: - Coke - Diet Coke (no Coke Zero here) - NACHOS GRANDE - Tortilla chips, cheddar & Monterey Jack cheese, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, jalapeños. Choose seasoned ground beef, slow-roasted chicken or refried beans, or for an extra dollar, substitute fire-grilled steak or chicken fajita. I chose the chicken fajita protein topping. I ordered this for an entrée, but it would be a really good appetizer for 3 to 6 people. It's almost like cheese crisps, halved, with lots of melted cheese and a small amount of meat on each tortilla half. In the center there are toppings. I enjoyed the pickled jalapeños because they weren't extra hot. This hit my comfort food spot. I wasn't able to eat the whole thing so it was so big, but it was exactly what I was looking for. - THE GRANDE COMBINATION - Beef, chicken, cheese enchiladas, cheese chile relleno, tamale, crispy beef taco, guacamole. This combination is HUGE! Even the plate is grande. Absorbed this, and I think his eyes were larger than his stomach. He filled up on the beans and the rice, the chile relleno, and the taco. He got to take three enchiladas and a tamale for dinner the next night. A very nice tasty plate. Complementary chips and three types of salsa are brought to the table. Of the salsas, one is a red sauce that is mild, one is a pineapple tomatillo, and one is a spicier red salsa. The chips are nice and fresh and thin and brought to the table warm. Men's and women's restroom near the entrance for customers.

When requesting a table she stated there were only 2 servers and that the tables were not in their "section" which was only 4 feet from the booths! Stupidity at epic levels! We turned around and left after wasting 10 minutes. Eat at Firebirds across the street for better food, service and a hostess with brains!
