4/20/26 Lunch with family today was so FUN and DELICIOUS!! We were seated by our server, Parker J. He was SUPER FRIENDLY, very courteous, knowledgeable about the menu and exceedingly efficient. Taking drink orders shortly after seating us AND they were delivered minutes later. Lemonade for my sis-in-love and GUINESS for the rest of the party. She had the apple, pecan salad chicken salad which was thoroughly enjoyed. The menu contains a nice variety of choices. I had the Chicken Salad. It was BEAUTIFUL! Avocado, red onions, craisins (YUM!!) and a beautifully prepared chicken breast. It was fantastic! My husband ordered a blackened turkey with white American cheese on chula mayo on cheddar crusted Vienna bread. He loved it! It looked really nice - - and it came with fried to perfection and seasoned sour cream. The sour cream was an additional cost, but a nice touch for sure. Our brother-in-love had the monthly special. I came to the bar for a meal and what I thought would be quicker service. Unfortunately, it was ridiculously slow. I came on a Tuesday evening at 7 PM. My bartender was apathetic and uninterested. Cue the eye roll... if you need more bar staff, hire them. I sat with the menu for 20 minutes before making the call to get up and leave. Do better! When I asked the waitress if I could pay for my beer, she then acknowledged she was slow, but couldn't help it because they were understaffed. Sorry, not good enough. read more

They have a variety of Juicy Lucy burgers to choose from, along with specials that frequently get updated. The beef patty is a little under seasoned and I would've liked a little more cheese inside the Juicy Lucy patty. The waffle fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The seasoned sour cream is a little on the runnier side and not super flavorful. The chicken nachos were delicious! The queso was flavorful and the chicken was cut into bite sized cubes. The queso and toppings were spread out over all the chips so there weren't a bunch of chips at the bottom that had no queso or toppings on it. I had the snack size of the Golden BBQ bone-in wings. The wings were juicy and I liked the sweetness paired with the slight vinegar tang in the golden BBQ sauce. The snack size had 5 wings. Loved out burgers but the rest was not great. We had the new fried green beans, which are a great idea but the execution was off. With such a light tempura-like batter they should be served on a platter so they stay crispy - not in a bowl where they got soggy. We asked for a side of ranch with the beans and what we got was mayo with a tiny bit of spice. We asked the waitress about it and she said that was ranch - it was terrible. read more

Came here around 7 on a Thursday to watch football. We were seated immediately! Drinks came out super fast and waiter was super good! Food came out as expected-- I did find a short hair in my salad, but I removed it and moved on because accidents happen (i do want to mention this is the second time that I found hair in my food at this location) besides that everything was fine. Came here for the first time for Bennie Day happy hour but the happy hour menu doesn't start until 3pm. The wait staff that was taking our order must have been busy or that she's the only one working the whole restaurant and it didn't seem busy but drinks were delayed and food was taking awhile to come out. We had to remind the server about the burger order. Didn't try any food but the group seating area was nice. They have a patio outside so that is nice. Limited happy hour menu. read more

Let me start out by saying my server was extremely rude. If you hate your job that's fine, but don't take it out on me, take it out on your own time. The waffle fries were very mid, save yourself and don't order them. The cheese curds were good, they remind me of the ones at Dairy Queen lol. For my take home (which I planned to us some on my own dressing) I asked "some dressing" which she gave me a creamy onion Vandalia dressing. BINGO. Tonight we had two gift cards totaling $50 and the manager said that they had expired so we could not use them. They expired August 31. The manager said it was corporate's position and nothing could be done. I wonder how corporate feels about losing a frequent customer? In hard times for restaurants, is it a good idea to push away frequent customers? We went across the street and spent $70. Does that make good business sense? We came in for lunch while visiting Red Wing for a wedding. We sat outside, as it was nice and they had a large outdoor patio. We had the cheese curds to start, since we were near by the great cheese land that is WI. They were pretty good. This place is known for their "juicy Lucy" and have won awards for it. They also have a full list of other "juicy Lucy" options, aside from the original. With that, I had the beef/horseradish juicy Lucy, that came with a french dip au-jus. I got a cup of the clam chowder instead of fries. My BF got the beer cheese juicy Lucy, with the parmesan fries as the side. He said his was good, but he admitted he liked mine better. We had a few local beers and I had the lemonade cocktail. All tasted good. They have great specials for beer on certain days and offer a happy hour. read more

The staff was attentive and kind. Moderate size beer menu of local beers on tap. As a parent I loved that the crayons were honeycomb shaped and didn't roll off the table. Small things like that make a parents life easier to relax and enjoy a beer. I ordered the chicken bourbon salad. It was large in size and very filling! Not good. I thought I would try this restaurant again since the first time, a few years ago. Back then it was sub-par, today was no different. Nothing has changed. From the lack of a greeting when I entered the door, to the frozen and reheated dinner I received when there. The "Famous" Lucy was terrible. No cheese in the middle and dry. Pre-cooked and heated a little bit to serve. Have to love microwaves. Unfortunately, this is a tired place with what looks like mostly regular's that are there (they all seem to know each other's names). Lots of gimmicks to get you to come back (coupon code $5.00 off next visit, etc) Unfortunately, all that this place needs is some passion to deliver a great experience, and great freshly made food, made to order. We ordered for delivery. The food came hot and intact, not all dismantled. My husband I shared a beer cheese chicken sandwich, we both agreed it was very tasty. We got an ordered of buffalo fried cauliflower and they were ok. I've had buffalo cauliflower at Lakeville Brewing Company and I like it a lot and that is what I hold my standard to. The cauliflower wasn't saucy as I expected but still tasted good. My husband got an order of chicken wings and he was very happy with them. He said they were crispy, not rubbery like some we have had recently from Hayward's Hen House, and they we're saucy. Overall, we will order again. We were pleased. read more

This crooked Pint has been a go to place for tacos and burgers with me and some childhood friends for the past 5+ years. Between drinks and either a burger or tacos, we always enjoy the space and food. Last night I went with the same friends for my birthday, the server was absolutely fantastic - literally so friendly, efficient, kind, can't say enough. There were some issues with my rewards program and she figured it out and was so kind about it. She was regularly checking in but not overly doing so. She gave some great recommendations, the food was fantastic, and drinks great. We were able to be seated by the fire as requested when being seated which was very appreciated. Could not ask for a better environment to connect with friends and loved ones. Can't saw enough good things about the food, drinks, and staff (especially the lovely lady helping us last night...such a kind soul and so good at her job). Prices are completely fair with great deals, and plenty of parking. Thanks Crooked Pint! Oh and we also had everyone in our party with a "dietary need" such as no bun, no cheese, etc. Waiter and cook did perfect and we felt trusting and appreciative. This place is honestly kind of hard to write a review for because it seems to be very hit-or-miss, on both food and service. We have had amazing service, and we've had some not-so-great service. Food of theirs that is good: loaded tots, chorizo dip (yum!), and their asian tacos. I wasn't frankly a huge fan of their lucy, however, despite how much they advertise it. The bartenders here are great! Always attentive, friendly and quick with drinks and pull tabs. Beer is always served cold! The giant pretzel came out hot and was good but the cheese sauce it comes with is disgusting. I wish it came with some sort of mustard instead. read more

It wasn't very busy tonight and it took a long time to have the server over to take our order. The manager came over and we said we waited for about 15 minutes. He had the nerve to say it hasn't been 15 minutes and only 4 minutes from when he noticed us. Not impressed with this place. We come here often when my husband and his brother are craving a juicy Lucy with bacon and peanut butter! They love them. They always upgrade the side to their famous tots. They are awesome and flavorful. I try different things. I've had the sloppy Joe which is amazing and this last time I had a margarita flatbread. It was delicious and I love the green pesto sauce drizzled on top. I did order a root beer and it tasted a little flat. But most of the time the pop is great and full of bubbles. My husband and I visited here for some comfort food on a cold, winter day. We are not familiar with the area but this place looked like a good choice. We didn't have a wait and were seated near the bar. Immediately, I chose the hot turkey on sourdough bread with mashed potatoes. It was exactly what I wanted and satisfied my need for comfort food. Absolutely the most salty sandwich I have ever had. I took a bite and couldn't take anymore it was so salty. I promise you I am not exaggerating it tasted like somebody poured salt from a bucket all over the sandwich. I recommended she not dip it into the aju since it was already salty and that didn't help. It was served with a side of fries which were blah......... STAY AWAY FROM FRENCH DIP I couldn't find anything on the menu that appealed to me so I just ordered there basic Lucy Burger and like the French dip it was over salted. A couple months ago I ate at the Apple Valley location. Our party was there towards the end of the night. I ate a juicy lucy that was so juicy cheese and grease dropped dropped all over my hand and face. Grease dripped below my watch band. I removed my watch to clean the grease off with a table napkin and forgot to put it back on. The next morning I called the Crooked Pint and asked if anything was returned to lost and found. The young lady who answered the phone said no so I asked to speak to a manager. Here is how the next 2 minutes of that conversation went. Male manager: How to you get this phone of speaker? [Referencing the young lady in the background I talked to previously]. Me: Hello, I was in your restaurant last night and I believe I left my watch on the table. The previous lady said it was not in lost and found. Could you check with your bus staff or whomever cleaned the tables at the end of the night? Male Manager: Don't tell me how to do my job and don't talk to me like I'm some bimbo. Me: Excuse me, where is this coming from? I just asked you to check with your staff about my watch. And who said anything about a bimbo, I don't even use that word and I am just trying to locate my watch. Why are you getting so upset? Do I need to remind you I am the customer. Male Manager: I don't give a $hit who you are? Me: Fine then maybe your district manager will. Male Manager: I don't give a $hit who you are and who talk to. Then he hung up on me. The interaction did not even last 2 minutes. I found the parent company of Crooked Pint and left a message for a district manager. A gentleman returned my call. I explained the situation and asked why his store manager escalated so quickly over a simple request and why he would swear at me, a customer. The district manager promised to address the situation and follow-up with me. It has been 2 months and no follow up so I am leaving this honest review. DO NOT EAT AT CROOKED PINT. We were just here a week ago with our dog and enjoyed a nice meal in the patio area. There were two other families with dogs as well. Tonight, we attempted to bring our dog to the patio again and was informed we are no longer allowed to have a dog on the patio. This is very frustrating since we were just there. Just returned from a HUGELY disappointing first visit to the Crooked Pint Ale House in Apple Valley, MN. My wife ordered a pint of Lagunitas Pils. Instead, she received a 10-ounce pour that was clearly not a pils. I checked with the bartender, who said, "Oh, we ran out and Lagunitas gave us the 'Under Cover' so we served that." The ABV on Under Cover is about 10%. We had the waitress return it, and ordered up a lighter beer. For my meal, I ordered the "Shredded Beef Tacos." When my plate was served I took a look and asked my wife, "Do they have pot roast on the menu?" Indeed they do, and that's what I got: a few slices of unseasoned beef pot roast in flour tortillas, with a bit of avocado and a small amount of cheese. On the side were three tortilla chips with maybe a teaspoon of salsa (or, more accurately, diced tomatoes and onions). I can now say from experience that if you are thinking about melt-in-your-mouth, spicy shredded beef tacos, and you get unseasoned slices of beef pot roast in a tortilla, it kinda makes you nauseous. To top it off, when we asked for our bill, the waitress said she needed to check with the manager about the beer mix-up. She wandered off then came back with the bill. The manager graciously did not charge us for the unwanted beer, but (in my opinion) he should have stopped by the table or comped us a drink. It was a Saturday afternoon, not busy, and this place is newly opened. They need to build good will, and they need to learn how to cook. YIKES. read more
