This is a dive bar. I'm rating it as a dive bar. The food is absolutely worth checking out. The more traditional paninos are an upgrade to warm wraps in my opinion! And things like the smothered Fredo are fun italian-american fusion. I think it's worth a stop to try a panino. Service is prompt and friendly (kitchen can get behind). And the happy hour is to die for! (Details on their website) The bathrooms are pretty bad. Some stalls are missing locks and the general cleanliness is questionable- I just think as a dive bar it's worth this inconvenience. read more

Visited Panino Bros. in Apple Valley, MN for our Nephew's son's baptism and his daughter's 2-year birthday. We were 40 strong and in the party room, which had a nice bar with a dozen bar stools, several comfortable booths, a number of communal tables, and multiple flatscreens showing various football games. We enjoyed pizzas, breadsticks with both salsa and cheese sauce, and several varietals of bone-in wings. Pizza's were generously topped with cheese and quality toppings; however, wings are PB's specialty and I can see why. The buffalo sauce was unique and very spicy. My other favorite was the sticky crisp honey barbecue. Despite being significantly understaffed in the front of the house (observed 1 bartender and our 1 server for the entire place), our server was attentive. Will go back for a football game when they offer wing specials (happy hour). read more

Okay, let me just start by saying that you don't go to Panino Brothers for the atmosphere, you go for the Panino. Now, let's dive into the good, the bad and the ugly. The good (and I mean, REALLY good) is their food. Specifically what they're know for -- the Panino. If you like buffalo chicken, get that one. It is cheesy, saucy goodness wrapped up in a perfect little breaded blanket. It's always my go-to and has been for like, 10+ years BUT I think all of their paninos are good -- just depends what flavor you're into. The bad is the sticky floors, dirty beer lines (probably stick to bottled if you're wanting a beer and dining in,), and the peeling bar tables. You can definitely tell this is a dive with its local watering hole patrons. Like I said though, you don't go for the atmosphere, you go for the Paninos. The ugly is the bathroom...woof. I can't speak on the Men's but the Women's is dirty and is always short or empty on toilet paper and paper towels. They get 4 stars from me because I can't completely ignore that the place is a pit but the food just about makes up for it. read more

Thought we'd give it a try. Bad idea. Our waiter was attentive and friendly and that's where the good points stop. Large cold unkempt area that needed some serious attention. Everything looked like it had been used HARD. Had to ask for napkins and forks. No salt, no pepper, no ketchup. Bathrooms were disgusting. The smell of urine was thick near the mens room. We stumbled upon this restaurant while driving through the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. The restaurant looks a bit like a dive bar, it definitely has a very casual appearance and feel and can get noisy. The server was ood, responded immediately to our table and provided us with water, menu and took our drink order. I as always had to start with a caesar salad, it was prepared with fresh green lettuce and fresh cheese. We decided to try the pizza and decided to keep it simple with a cheese pizza, extra cheese of course. The pizza was good, it didn't feel very unique, the cheese was fresh and the sauce was decent. I've been here about once a year for sports "beer bust" benefits. Supposedly kegs are $100 for the first keg of beer for your organization. I've had a panini and wings and the food is alright. I just don't get the staffing. The place is busy for these events but 2 bar tenders, 1 server and 1 food runner are working. Schedule more people in and they may get good tips. It seems like they could give a rat's a-- if people wait all day for food. Don't expect good service, get your own damn beer. Hopefully we move these events to a better location. read more

My experiences at Paninos have always been sub-par. Pricing is low/good but the quality of the food is generally poor. To be fair, you get a lot of food but the paninos tend to be a ton of bread and not much meat. The flavor/seasoning has been off on everything I've tried; mostly bland. Panino has great food. I've never had a Panino (not even sure if it's a real thing, I've obviously had Panini's but not a panino) until I ate at this place years ago. They have always been delicious. Poor service. Warm beer. Beer list says 30 beers on tap, but only mentions 15. Server didn't know which beers they had and she acted like she had the worst job in the world. I have been here a number of times. Both at the old location and now at this location. The food is average, I have had good plates and bad plates. Never great plates. They do have a great happy hour however. Cheap drinks, and good appetizers. The pool tables work most of the time, I have had a number of games that have had no cue ball or duplicate balls. They don't own the tables, but the vendor is doing a disservice. Service is hit and miss at this place. Today was great, but my past experiences have not been as good. Cool place to watch a game and have some bar food with good drinks. But as a family joint for a nice dinner I would caution you. read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. First off, the place is absolutely filthy and looks/smells like a bathroom. My buddy and I ordered 2 med-rare burgers that came out not only burnt to a crisp, but the completely wrong burgers. We got them comped, but they gave us some BS story about how they still had to charge us for fries that were also burnt to a crisp and never touched. Not sure why the city hasn't shut them down yet. Parties and fights in the parking lot pretty much every night after or around when they close. Waking everyone up in the area every night including weekdays. Only reason why I'm up writing this review is because I was woken up by loud music and people fist fighting in the parking lot again. I see a silver Chrysler 300c over there when alot of this goes on. He always flys out of the parking lot and down the road super fast. I would consider moving to Brooklyn Park where this business fits in better. People over there like that stuff. This is a nice area, not the ghetto. Meh..... I usually don't take lunch breaks from work but today was an exception. This was my first visit to Panino as it was recommended by a colleague. She raves about how good the chicken wings are. I had a smothered panini burrito. This was a panini with cheese, beans, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, sour cream, black olives, and salsa. It is usually served with beef or chicken but I went meatless. I get the concept of the sandwich but it was not appetizing in my opinion. There weren't many other vegetarian items to choose from except salad. Perhaps this is a place to check out for happy hour or chicken wings, but not for a vegetarian lunch. read more

If you want to be over-charged and have horrible service you should come in when Siran is working. You will sit yourself and it took her over 10 minutes to approach me to say hi on a week night. First meal after their move I ordered the Dino Panino and it came without turkey. The second time was good and I thought there was hope. The bartender then comes up behind me and said "yes seat yourself." We picked a table and the nice bartender said "your waitress is busy so I will take your drink order" ordered our drinks and then comes out horrible waitress. Does not smile or ask how we are. All she said was "ready?" So we ordered. My daughter wanted a cheeseburger which is not on the kids menu so I ordered a regular hamburger and asked them to remove the lettuce, tomato, mayo and replace with cheese. She said there is a $.25 charge (really I just asked you to remove 3 toppings and put something in its place . . . Whatever) Our food comes and I received a full panino instead of half like I requested (I did confirm with my husband that I requested a half order) I called the waitress over and told her "I only wanted a half order instead of a full" and she said "I didn't hear you say that. I will get you a box." She never came back and checked on us. We had to get our napkins ourselves. If I could give 0 stars I would, but it isn't possible so they receive one... On Sunday, July 28th, 2019 I was with a larger group that decided to stop by Panino Brother's around 5:45 pm to catch their happy hour and some food. When we arrived, there may have been 15-20 other people in the bar, mostly sitting at the bar or at the far end by the pull tabs and dartboards. As we had some children with us, we knew it would be best to sit at regular tables. We were promptly greeted by Briana who was going to be taking care of our table and quickly mentioned we would have about 12-15 people, with 3 being kids and asked the best way to set up a table, she gave us a few guidelines and we assembled a few tables and chairs for our group. Briana quickly took orders for drinks and appetizers (7 total appetizers were ordered) for most of the group because we had a few members still strolling into the restaurant (arrived around 5:50 pm). A few minutes later she was back with drinks and waters for individuals who had ordered and then took additional orders for those who arrived after her initial stop. The second round of orders was comprised of three kid's meals, and four adult meals with drinks to accompany their meals. After gathering her second round of orders (around 6:00 pm) she quickly met another group of three adults who were sitting behind us. She disappeared for a few minutes to grab more drinks (for both groups) and came back to take any additional food orders, which was two extra adult orders (6:10 pm). Up to this point, Briana was doing a great job and things were going well, she was prompt with refills and additional drink orders form the bar when needed. Unfortunately, this is where things took a turn.... Around 6:30 pm our initial round of appetizers started coming out in a few different waves (about a 40-minute wait). No complaints from our group, we knew it was a Sunday afternoon/evening and we came in with a larger group and were unannounced. The food was good from what people said and it arrived in a timely fashion given the situation. Shortly thereafter, about 6:45 pm, the two adults who ordered their food last received their meals prior to the kid's meals and the four adult orders that were placed before theirs (45-minutes and counting for the order). Briana said the rest of the food should be out shortly. 7:00 pm: rolls around, no food, now an hour has passed for the seven additional meals, still nothing. We notice, one of the members of the staff (helped deliver some food to our table) is playing pull tabs. 7:05 pm: a few members of our group ask the male bartender who was close by if there was an update on our missing food items, Mr. Bartender blows them off and walks to the other side of the bar. 7:08 pm: a different lady (not Briana) is upfront and is asked for an update, she pulls up their system and looks at the tickets and said it should be right up. She was asked if she was the Manager on duty, "No, the manager is in the back". At this point, it is clear nobody knows what is going on, nor do they care about getting food to our table. 7:19 pm: finally, Briana appears from the kitchen with two kid's meals and two adult meals. I ask Briana if those are going to be taken care of due to the wait time and she said yes, I will get these taken care of. Come to find out, two of four meals are incorrect. Family asks for boxes so they can leave to get their kids home. 7:22 pm: still waiting on a kid's meal (mac & cheese) and two adult meals. The family that is still without their food pays for their drinks and decides to leave to go get food for their hungry daughter because they have no update or timeframe on their food. 7:30 pm: their food comes out from the kitchen and we tell the staff the family had to go get their daughter food after nearly waiting an hour in a half. 7:40 pm: Briana comes to our table (visibly upset) and drops off adjusted checks for all the groups. We thanked her for her efforts in trying to rectify the situation to the best of her abilities. Everyone promptly paid and tipped her for HER efforts. I feel terrible for Briana because she had no support and felt it was all her fault, which it clearly was not, she just happens to be working at a poorly ran establishment. As we are walking out, the group in the booth behind us was just getting their plate of nachos (waited an hour and a half). This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. I'm not entirely sure who dropped the ball or what happened, but it is clear there is zero leadership, communication, or any sense of urgency to service the patrons and make them the top priority. The lack of communication, on the clock employees playing pull tabs, no manager on duty, excuses, rudeness of the staff, horrible wait times for food, and off-clock employees insulting patrons are all reasons our group will never be back to Panino Brothers. read more

Stopped here for some takeout last week. The new Panino's Brothers is no different then the old place except there is a smaller second bar in the back corner. Really I have no idea why they moved they lost patio space but gained square footage. Oh well their place do what you want. I ordered a couple of beers while waiting for my to go order. The place was half full. I placed my order and waited and the enjoyed the gong show. After about 45 minutes the waitress came over and said the kitchen is running slow because they do one order at a time. I appreciated her honesty because I have no doubt she was telling the truth. I finally got my food after 1 and 15 min wait. If you are wondering it was two panino's I ordered. It was clear after watching servers they have received little to no training and that includes the cook's. After getting my food the server said she told the manager about the ridiculous wait and that she would try to figure out the problem. I found it comical that rather then the manager come over and tell me this he/she makes the server. For all I know there is no manager. This place will stay open because they get a younger/rowdy late night drinking crowd. How long they will survive will depend on whether they figure out that they need to improve upon service and poor kitchen staff. My food was ok. I found that there was a lot of meat in the Panino contrary to what others have said. However my waffle fries had been sitting as they weren't hot. I checked this at the time I got the order. I can't comment on the food - the service was so bad we left without eating. When we walked in there were quite a few tables open but most were not cleared. After finally finding a clean table it took a while before anyone asked us what wanted to drink (and didn't give us a chance to order food - which we'd already decided on since we'd had time for that). 20 minutes later the waitress came back and asked us to repeat our drinks order. No attempt to apologize, just "what was your order again, an iced tea and...?" We cancelled the order and left. read more
