    My son and I had visited a local Mazda dealership in Pleasanton where they basically told the 20 yo with a 750 credit score that no amount of money down would enable him to buy a car, unless of course I co-signed it. Cardinale MAZDA was a completely different and incredibly pleasant experience from the jump. JayR patiently went through all the trim differences, I was looking for every safety feature. My son landed on the Carbon Edition and we were handed the keys immediately for a test drive. My son was told his, "credit was good and heading towards great" and they would be thrilled to do business with him, no co-signer needed. While we didn't have much negotiation power, as literally of the two cars in this trim class, my sons car had arrived that morning and still wrapped in plastic ;) I can say that every single person from the finance guy to the young man who took his photo ringing the bell was courteous, kind and treated my son with professionalism making this a truly painless car buying experience. It was so worth the drive! (we live in Oakland)

    I was in the market for a beautiful, red SUV. Ryan Grant, Sales Manager at Cardinale GMC in Seaside scoured through the inventory at all the Cardinale locations. After answering so many questions of mine, Ryan located a gorgeous Mazda CX 9 that came w lots of safety features, and it was Soul Red Crystal metallic. Ryan arranged for me to pick up the car at Cardinale Mazda in Salinas. Raymundo ensured that the entire process went unbelievably smoothly. I've had my car almost a month and love driving it. It's fun to drive, safe and so pretty. I love it!

    SCAM! These people push a vehicle of their choice on you without informing you about the make, model, miles, price. I even got quoted $2,000 more than their website stated. Please don't ruin the next few years of your life with these people. There's A LOT better alternatives if you don't have perfect credit.

    So I decided to buy myself a car for my birthday, because hey I deserve it. And what a happy birthday it was! I purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle at Cardinale Mazda and it was hands down the best car buying experience I've ever had. They took such excellent care of me! If you want to have an amazing sales guy, ask for Victor V. He was truly a pleasure to work with, very knowledgeable and provided some of the best service any customer could ask for. He greeted me immediately and showed me exactly what I wanted to see. I had been doing my research and already had an idea of what I wanted. I was not disappointed! They had some quality models to choose from and I ended up getting an AWD CX-5. She is a beautiful dream come true! Also, going into the finance office was not only stress and pressure free, it was a joy to go over my documents with "Memo". He answered all my questions and I truly appreciate him taking the time to make sure the process went smoothly. I LOVE my new car so much, I'm so happy I decided to choose a Mazda. The crew at this dealership really went that extra mile and made my birthday the best ever! Thank you my new Mazda family!!!

    This was my first time purchasing a vehicle. Jay-R was my sales rep and he was FANTASTIC and I got the car I wanted! I had several dealerships calling w/voicemails, texting and emailing but Jay-R stood out from them all. He sent me 2 personalized videos including texting and calling. When I got to the dealership, I was very comfortable, despite the stresses of purchasing a car. Jay-R was not aggressive in trying to upsell me he was extremely friendly, easy going and patient with my questions. I cannot recommend him enough!

    Basic 60,000 mile service for a Mazda CX five was $3000 to $5000. Plus they want to charge a 3% credit card fee.

To be clear: I did NOT buy a car from David, but I'm writing this because of how he treated my wife and me. When I'm in the market again, David will be the first person I contact -- and I recommend others do the same. My wife and I drove 106 miles to see a used 2022 Honda Pilot after being told it was still available and that we should come in for a test drive. We even texted updates on our arrival time and asked if a manager could be available to help expedite things when we got there. When we arrived, the original salesperson was tied up and introduced us to David to help. David was friendly, engaging, and thoughtful, and as we walked to the vehicle he made us feel welcomed. Unfortunately, before we could even properly look the car over, a manager came out and told us the vehicle had already been sold. That was disappointing after a two-hour drive. The policy was explained, but the tone started to feel more like a lecture than customer care -- so we decided to politely disengage and head back to our car. This is where David truly stood out. David followed us, apologized sincerely, and said, "I want to make this right." He wasn't pushy at all -- just genuinely empathetic and solution-oriented. He offered to find the same vehicle in the same color, stayed in touch, and communicated proactively throughout the process. He texted updates without us having to chase him, responded quickly, and put in real effort over several days to try to acquire the right match. When the vehicle arrived, David immediately sent pictures. Unfortunately, it turned out not to be the color we wanted (and it's possible I mixed up the exact shade originally), so we didn't move forward -- but that doesn't change the point: David's professionalism, integrity, and follow-through were exceptional, especially considering the original issue wasn't even his fault. If you want someone who will treat you with respect, communicate clearly, and genuinely advocate for you, ask for David Gonzalez.

I like cars made in Asia and think they make the best cars for your buck. I've never to have a major repair done on any of the cars I've owned made in Asia. And I've owned 8 of them. My salesman, Mike, was cool. He never once pressured me to buy a car. if he had said, 'What do I have to do to get you into this car today?" I would have walked out. But he didn't. I've never been in sales, but I do know about that "Always closing" selling technique. I stopped by about 4 times to ask questions about the car when I went to Home Depot or Kohl's on an errand. I first saw the K-5 about 4 years ago and thought it was the best-looking car of the similar cars made by other car makers, but I wasn't looking to buy a new car then. So, when I decided it was time to buy a new car, the K-5 was my first choice. I'm well aware they sell cars across the street. I went home and figured out what I would be willing to pay for the car. I went back; test drove the car and made my offer. Mike took my offer to somebody, I've never figured out who they are, and within 15 minutes, they accepted my offer. I was satisfied with the deal and assume they were too. Then it was on to all the extended warranty stuff. Tino was cool too. He knew I was interested in that and didn't push me. He just did his job. If I didn't think this was going to be a good dependable car, I wouldn't be buying it. At 77 years old, this is may be the last car I buy. But if I do buy another car, My Kia is the first place I'll go.

I…read morewanted to make sure my car was always in good hands and that they had a complete service history. During my last visit for an oil change, the advisor recommended a transmission flush. My car had about 80K miles, and since they are supposed to be the experts, I agreed. I paid nearly $600 for the service. Right after I took the car home, I noticed the RPMs were unstable on the freeway. I brought it back, and they told me the transmission was showing metal shavings--an issue I never had prior to the flush. They claim it was a coincidence and not related to the service, saying the transmission must have been "faulty." If they knew certain models or years had known transmission problems, why recommend a flush at all? Now they refuse to accept responsibility for the damage. It is not fair that I am now expected to pay almost $5,000 for a transmission replacement caused after they worked on it. Service advisors should be properly trained on what services are appropriate and not simply suggest things to generate business. This experience has left me extremely disappointed after years of trust. Be careful going to this place.

We wanted to give a high five to Marlene the lady at the front desk. She was very knowledgeable and thorough. She told us the wait may be several hours (and it was) but she was kind enough to check on us in the waiting room to give us updates and to see if we were ok or if we needed anything. I first reached out on Wednesday, and over the next couple of days we exchanged texts and emails about the car before making the drive there Friday morning. At no point during those conversations were we told there would be an additional $3,000 in dealer-installed add-ons added to the advertised price. Maybe it could have been mentioned somewhere along the way, but unfortunately it never was. Once we arrived, we learned the extra charges included: * $1,500 for a LoJack system we neither wanted nor needed * $1,500 for plastic door edge and door handle protection To put that into perspective, similar plastic edge and handle protection can easily be purchased online for around $50. After spending 3 hours driving there and another 3.5 hours driving back home, the experience felt very much like a bait-and-switch situation. The attractive online price got us in the door, but the actual price was thousands higher due to mandatory add-ons. To be fair, buried in the fine print was this statement: "Vehicles may be equipped with optional dealer installed equipment. Please contact dealer for final price." Unfortunately, I missed that disclaimer before making the trip. Let this be a reminder to others: always read the small fine print carefully and ask for the full out-the-door price before driving long distances to a dealership. I do want to say the sales staff themselves were polite and professional. They even bought us Starbucks coffee Friday morning, which was appreciated. This review is less about the individual salespeople trying to do their jobs and more about the dealership policies they are required to follow. Transparency upfront would have saved everyone a lot of time and frustration. Overall, a very disappointing experience and a huge waste of time.

He let me test drive a impala 2008 , which I did not like so he offered a little something different and we took a 2010 Honda accord and I was sold by this one. It was the best car I have driven the past months . One problem it had 112,000 miles and we want something under 50,000 so he showed us a 2009 with close miles to what we wanted . It was getting late and my son was with the babysitter so we had to leave. I left really happy with the service . I did not get pressured by the sales man like other lots around town where they want you to just drive off or go in the office to soon. I will be looking for a Honda accord 2008 & up with under 50,000 miles and be purchasing it . I hope the car lot can get one soon , I will definitely be returning if I find a matching car to my needs . Sorry I can't release his name wish I got a business card but was so busy test driving all there awesome cars. I forgot to add . The man that helped me out also offered me a quick approximate of what I would pay with a car worth (xx) amount and he said a guy has gotten one and took it 5 years around 270 a month. Which of course is just a estimate . But most other places I go that I ask always want me to go in there office , which I do not like at all .
