I will say that I was really excited to meet the team here at this dealership as I had established a good enough rapport with the team long distance, having this rapport with Tim LeDonne and Joey Sheinfield I was comfortable enough to fly from Seattle to San Jose to see the vehicle in person, skipping ahead a bit, despite a distasteful encounter with Anthony Sheinfield, I was greeted by the GM Scott E Knight who seemed to have a more leveled approach to challenge management was able to find a reasonable solution to the challenge at hand, with that I decided to move forward with the purchase of a gently used 2024 Q8, a car I was led to believe long distance mind you was in out standing condition, however this was not the case, now mind you, this car had been being used as a service loaner for 6-7 months had had all four wheels scuffed from curb rash and several body blemishes that I believer can be rubbed out, the wheels and tires were switched out to newer set, which was not my first choice but one I could live with, this is where the problems begin so hang in there. Got the deal done, papers signed and on the road, 20 or so miles down the road, the tire warming light illuminates and continues for the entirety of the 950 mile drive home, obviously, the team in the shop did not complete the tire change process and now two days in I have had to spend the time to have this car into the local Audi dealer, by the way, this is a 2024 car with what was less than 10k miles, basically new, I am home now safely if you are wondering, and have no access to the purchase documents the dealership sent to me via email, which normally would be okay except for the fact that the docs are password protected and guess what, I have no password to access because the doc dept did not mention anything about the need for a password, as you can imagine, I have reached out to the team at the store today with no response from anyone who may be able to give me access, and to boot, we were not given the right documents to be able to get the vehicle registered within the state of Washington. In short, this dealership fronts as a team who is reasonable and cares about the development of long lasting relationships but in my opinion, this is a team who is a sheep in wolves clothing, in other words, this is just a high class used Car sales dealership who will do or say what is needed to make a deal. Knowing what I know now, I would not ever do bruises with this group at any cost and for sure do not ever travel to this store, find a different Audi dealer, by the way, we will be logging a complaint with Audi international, being a previous Audi and existing Audi owner, I feel like Audi International will want to know how its brand is being marketed, whether new or gently used. read more

Do you want to do business with this dealer who does not honor written contracts? Read more below: This dealer sells 2 non-negotiable add-ons for cars. One is a $1500 "paint protection" package. The other is a $500 nitrofill tires package. The nitrofill tire package is actually fully refundable by contract if you are a California customer (see pic below). So if you are in my situation and did not see value in the add-on and would rather have $500 back, it is within your right to ask for a refund. I actually already got the nitrofill company to issue a check to the dealership. The cancellation on the nitrofill part is very smooth but they insisted refunding the dealership instead of to me. The dealership refused to pay me the check after many back and forth stretching months in email contact. My question for the management is that is there any other reason that you can not give me the refund and ghost me than you simply don't want to honor the contract and hope I just give up. This dealership also did not correctly report the car sale as certified pre-owned but I did my due dillegence and contacted Audi America to correct this mistake. Otherwise I will lose 1 year worth of additional warranty. I will give benefit of doubt in this case, but the general manager makes it sound like it's my problem which is very disheartening. My stance is the same as always: if the car is listed as CPO, I want the CPO. I shouldn't be the one that discovered the problem, to be honest. Now if I were you I would really think again if I want to do business with this dealership. It is one thing to forget reporting CPO correctly, it is completely on another level to not honor written contracts. I may never get my $500 back but I do want to warn you, the future customer reading this review, about my experience. Horrible experience with this dealership and Audi Corporate. Don't get your vehicle serviced at this location by all means! In June 2025, I paid $1,540.50 at Audi Monterey Peninsula for a rear axle seal/bolt repair due to a leak and burning oil smell. The dealership assured me it was fixed. Six months later (December 2025), the exact same symptoms returned, leading to complete rear differential failure from fluid contamination and bearing damage. Their quote: $11,885.83! The service rep admitted in writing that this kind of rapid escalation is "rare" after a seal repair and apologized for not disclosing the risks in June -- but the dealership refuses to accept any responsibility for the misdiagnosis or incomplete repair. Since purchasing my 2019 Q8 three years ago, it has only ever been serviced at Audi Seaside/Monterey Peninsula. The car is not driven aggressively, sees minimal miles (~10k/year), and is primarily used for business. I escalated to Audi Corporate (assigned a case manager) and involved the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR). The BAR mediator agreed additional diagnostics should have been done in June. Despite this, Audi and the dealership have not accepted fault. When I picked up the vehicle on January 9, 2026, the invoice completely omitted the rear axle leak and showed a "clean inspection" -- even though the differential was still failed. The car has been inoperable since December 9, 2025 -- no loaner provided. Their latest "best and final" offer: refund the $1,540 June repair but charge me $7,821.46 for the differential (slightly higher than a prior discounted quote of $7,566). I've now reported this to NHTSA, as a 2022 Audi TSB covers nearly identical rear differential leaks in 2020-2022 Q8 models (and others), raising questions about whether this is a broader issue. If you own a Q8 (especially 2019-2022), be cautious with service at this dealership and others. Document everything, get second opinions if needed, and know your rights under California law. read more

27 Sep 2025: Finding the perfect service and parts department is a chore. The team at Audi Monterey Peninsula have gained me as a forever customer. I purchased my car at another location and after the sale the "other place" seriously lost interest in my existence; to the point of flubbing up parts orders and not returning my calls or requests to speak to the general manager. They cost me hundreds in wrong parts shipments and even claimed the car had a front license plate bracket and it didn't. Another $100. However, my experiences with Audi Monterey have me sold as a forever customer. If and when I buy another Audi it will be from Monterey. I would really like to give a good review of the service. I had tires replaced and told it would be two hours, so I waited on site. It ended up being over three. If I had known, I wouldn't have waited. Then I was told the car would be brought to me out front.. I went outside and waited for about ten minutes. Then went back in to find out the status. The guy came back after checking and got my keys and the car was just sitting out front - not sure how long it was there. The dealership posted a car for sale on Cars.com. I called and got pics/video of the car. They told me the car had not gone through cleanup/safety. IN ADDITION to the posted price, they tack on a $2,000 additional charge for insurance and some type of cleaning additive. I agreed to pay the posted price without the cleaning and insurance. I recently purchase and traded in my car there, Sales guy was really upfront and kinda honest wanting to help. But then we get to the finance office ....... And that's where things get not the way you want. They come up with this hidden fees "Paint protection" "Then tire protección warranty" They tell you that you can't take them off It's frustrating that this fees they don't mentioned them until you get there. I asked to take them out but they said they can't. Also I told them not to run my credit and they still did. I currently had an an approval with good interest rate and they didn't listen. Just be aware about the hidden fees Tell them to take them off which you can is not obligated to have this in the car I wish I can get a refund for that but they probably laughing when they see this review. Update 04/11/24 Found out that the truck had plenty of old oil leaks This means they did not did a safety inspection in this SUV.. now I have to pay out of my pocket to fix this issues. We had the same experience, they don't disclose the paint protection or the tire nitro fills until signing paper work. We insisted four times they remove the paint protection we don't want it. They insisted they can't take it off. We asked what the process was they said its a spray on protection. We again said we don't want it and was told all cars come with it (this was right before thanksgiving) So the following week we took car to auto place next to our business to check the car out, come to find out the car was wrapped (so they couldn't do a spray protection). So we called said we want a refund for paint protection that the car was wrapped and it was never disclosed they said there was nothing they could do. Our salesperson was Ross Mansour, we communicated over the phones, internet, emails, texts. Everything was extremely professional and easy even with our Trade in with just pictures. All we needed to do were to come, inspected the car and signed paperwork. The interest rate was the same as if we went with our CU. A Painless car buying experience. Ross was honest and described everything truthfully, we didn't have anything to complain about,. Ross was so knowledgeable about this complex car, took his time to explain everything to both of us. I purchased a vehicle online from them. The experience was a mess from the beginning. The sales department is horrible they do not return phone calls timely once you have completed your purchase. They gave me 1 key and wanted to charge me for the 2nd key. Also they did not give me the cargo cover that was suppose to come with the car and when my relative went in to pick it up for me they were rude to her. The current issue I'm having with them is my car's protective coat is damaged and they did not register it with the company so they have no record. Before making the 1 hour drive, I asked if there was anything that I should know about, there was-- It was revealed that a graphite + ceramic "spray" had already been applied to the car, this $1,495 is non-negotiable and NOT included in the ADVERTISED price SHADY Full disclosure . . . this fact is indeed buried in the detailed description, it is also not CLEAR that this $1,495 is ADDITIVE to the advertised price, copy-paste: "All vehicles have been protected ResistAll 360 features Graphene + Ceramic technology Spray-On paint sealant for $1495." Even with this add, the pricing is fair, if they were up front, I would have bought the car a week ago, as of this review, the price has been reduced and still for sale, I just cannot give my money to a dealer that behaves in this manner. I had a very frustrating and possibly the worst car buying experience at this dealership yesterday. I purchased a 2018 preowned Lexus, which was advertised at $40,800. His exact words were "I apologize for not disclosing this additional charge till the end of the transaction but an apology is all I can offer, if you want the car you'll have to pay that additional charge". Amazed at this, when I asked to speak to the GM, I was asked to wait as he was in a meeting. When the GM stepped out of the meeting, he started to walk directly towards the exit and tried his best to not engage in a conversation with me by stating "Sorry I am running late and really have to get going". It was not until I voiced my frustration in front of the entire staff that someone (likely the sales manager) decided to help by reducing the $1500 charge to $595. I received an email from the GM this morning, where no acknowledgment or apology was offered for either his or his finance manager's behavior and the funny part is that the email included the following quote "WE DEVELOP OUTSTANDING RELATIONSHIPS WHERE EVERYBODY WINS", which is clearly a contradiction to the relationship the dealership developed with me yesterday. I do want to commend Amanda and her sales manager for stepping up and doing the right thing. Amanda was great to deal with and both demonstrated great professionalism. read more

We've had the worst experience with this place for the last years, they hold no accountability for their wrong doings. Returned the car after being serviced with no water or coolant-we ended on the side of the freeway with all the emergency lights on. Took them almost a year to get the car in the shop to "fix" what they messed up. While getting serviced my car was sprayed with paint from a worker painting a fence and they had the audacity to just polish the car and call it a day! I ran out of time then the economy tanked and I decided to wait. I went back to get my deposit back and was treated with courtesy and respect the whole time. They just said I will get your deposit for you and when your ready just let them know. I was in and out in 15min. No presure. We drove from central California to pick up a lightly used 2020 Q7 with the Premiere package. We all know what used car inventory is like so we drove 3 hours to buy this car, so we're not local to Monterey. 1) Don't trust them on any verbal agreement. Like all stealerships, get things in writing. Our used Q7 had a roof rack that was locked and the key was lost. We left the car overnight so they could resolve it. We showed up the next morning at the rack is still on the car. They told us that this rack has a master key and that my local dealership can get it off. WRONG. This is not true. We had to call a lock smith at our expense to remove this rack and we had to flip the bill for the new tumblers with the key. Very bush league stunt. 2) They didn't perfect the loan documents so we had to resign all the documents again and do the whole FedEx thing back and forth. Again, very amateur. I wouldn't recommend this dealership and would never ever trade with them again. read more

I have leased two Audi eTrons through Audi Monterey. The sales process and interactions with the service department have always been pleasant. I recently had an issue after I traded in my original Audi when I learned it was never reported to DMV and I continue to get paperwork from DMV and calls from other dealerships saying I still own that car. I have emailed and called the manager over the last 4 months and no response what so ever - I even got another message from DMV that they are suspending my registration so now need to go out of my way to fix it. Be VERY careful working with this dealership. Issues I encountered while out of state and buying online: 1) They added in a tire protection plan that was not advertised and was told it was nonnegotiable. They finally agreed to back it out, but not a customer friendly sales practice. Purely a profit play on their end. 2) To get an Audio CPO interest rate they wanted to charge me $1200.00 to certify the car. It was a used Audi, so go ahead and certify it yourselves. 3) They constantly wanted me to produce a down payment BEFORE I knew if the credit app was approved OR I reviewed a sales agreement for the terms we negotiated. 4) They advertised the vehicle with 3k miles when in fact it had 16k miles. Found that out days into the process. This made their pricing significantly worse versus comparable vehicles. In other words, overpriced. A service loaner with 16k miles and no CPO? Really? 5) The Sales Manager was good at responding, but the sales rep was not. read more

Today I had my Q8 serviced at Audi Monterey Peninsula, and I was extremely satisfied with the phenomenal customer service that was provided by everyone! When I first entered the building, I was greeted by the service writers and all of the staff members treated me so well! I love how the technician sends you detailed videos of your vehicle and explains the service that was provided. This is such an effective way to help keep customers informed every step of the way. The service manager Anthony A was absolutely fantastic! He was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to exceed my expectations on this service today. They even provided me with complimentary shuttle service back home so I wouldn't have to wait in the lounge area, even though it's not a bad place to wait since they have some delicious looking fresh pastries and coffee in there! Last but not least, my car was delivered to me washed, detailed and sparkling clean.
