Fantastic. I wanted to take a moment to say that buying a used vehicle from CardinaleWay VW was smooth, fair, and friendly. It all started with David Aguilar who reached out to me through my computer searches for a new car. I took his phone and we chatted calmly, no pressure, describing exactly what I wanted in a car. Immediately I realized that I was not giving him a great picture of what I really wanted. He said to take my time, send him an email with an update and he would get back to me. Finally, I decided on the vehicle but my appointment kept getting delayed so by the time I was able to make my way to Corona (a 60-mile drive), the vehicle I wanted had been sold. He assured me there were many other used vehicles available. I asked myself if I really wanted to make the long drive but I liked David and his low-key style. I gave one more look at their website and saw a VW Tiguan AWD Wolfsburg Edition 2017 pop up for the first time. I read the specs and all my needs were being met. My girlfriend and I got in her car and made the long journey to meet David. Five minutes before I got there, he texted to say he would not be there but Victoria Bonfanti would be taking care of us. My heart dropped. Although I had not met David, a trust had been established. I doubtfully introduced myself to Victoria who also felt a bit under the gun. I told her about the Wolfsburg and she went to request the vehicle. She returned with an odd answer...the vehicle had just been brought into inventory, had not been serviced, so she could not show the car. Unacceptable was my answer. She reached out to her manager, Manny Heredia, who worked his magic and a few minutes later we were test driving the vehicle. I was sold on the vehicle and ready to negotiate. Manny and Victoria went over the price, the minor issues with the car, the best price available. That out of the way Manny and I haggled back and forth in a friendly way. I got up out of the chair as if to leave, I looked at him and made my final offer. He accepted and the car was almost mine. Chris Del Campo, the finance manager, sat me down and we worked out the details. He practically insisted that I take the extended warranty due to its excellent coverage, noting that parts have been delayed and a rental vehicle would be available for as long as it took the part to arrive and the vehicle fixed. The additional $25 a month is more than I wanted to spend but in the end, I do have more peace of mind. The vehicle was a pre-owned VW and would need a series of service tests done before release. So, I was going home without a car...60 miles. No worries said David, he would deliver the car, personally, when it was ready. That took about 3 days. David and Victoria showed up on time with the vehicle fully detailed and a full tank of gas. We made the final transaction and off they went. I have since communicated with them about user issues...Bluetooth, Carplay, etc...all questions answered. What can I say...I never thought that the purchase of a used vehicle could be as low pressure and satisfying as it was over at CardinaleWay VW. Give this group a try. Was approved for a loan through there website this morning, chose the lender and terms, ran my credit. Spoke with Monim the Sales Representative who reached out to me and he verified everything we set up an appointment for picking up the vehicle and signing. He confirmed all of the paperwork was ready to go moments before I arrived but when I arrived Monim handed me off to Austin and his boss Rob and they knew nothing about the deal. Tried running my credit again and then came in with a completely different number than advertised. Adding dealer add ons that equalled more than 16% of the entire vehicle cost! Took my Volkswagen in for a checkup at 8am and they said it would take about an hour and a half. 9:30 comes and the lady says my car has been recalled and I'll be here another 2 hours. She condescendingly says "I'm shocked you didn't hear the noise" 12pm comes and she says another hour.... It's now 1:30 and still no car!!! Not to mention my boyfriend and I overheard them talking crap about us because we asked for the inspection to be waived. Coworker went to her office and started punching her office wall to where we all clearly heard it! I don't feel safe now with my vehicle still being in their nasty old shop. Worst customer service ever! I can't wait to trade my car in for another make, I'm for sure leaving Volkswagen after 8 years of being a LOYAL customer who pays on time!!! Update** so I finally got my car at 1:40pm.... Mind you Paige told me at 12pm it would take another hour because they're "cleaning" my car, I was so upset I told her not to wash it but she said it was already being "washed " so 40 minutes passed the time it was supposed to be ready from being "washed" I look at my car and it's filthy with the same bird droppings on it. I have never posted a negative review ever. But in this instance i have to let everyone know what happened to me. If i could post a negative infinity review, i would. This may be a bit long, but here it goes. I placed an order for an ID4 online through the VW website. I paid a deposit online. I had to designate a dealer to pick up the car once it arrived. I chose CardinaleWay VW because it was the closest to my house. Fast forward a few months. Victoria contacted me to introduce herself saying she would take care of me, etc. So far so good. She seemed friendly. I met her in person a month or so later. I asked her about pricing and the process of picking up the car. She told me since this is a new model, i would pay MSRP + tax, license, and the usual fees associated with purchasing a car. No mark ups or add ons. So basically, no haggle pricing. I thought fair enough since it's a new model. Fast forward another couple of months. My car is at the dealership. By now, it's been about 6 months since i placed my order. I get ahold of her a few days later. She sends me the paperwork needed to begin the payment process. She was supposed to send it to me after we met in person a month or so ago. I didn't think it was a big deal since all the pricing was clear as day on the website when i ordered. Anyways, I notice an add on package to my car. I never authorized an add on. I already ordered the car to my specifications online. VW was just supposed to deliver it finished to the dealer. CardinaleWay added $1485 to the MSRP for VIN etching, door guards and nitrogen in the tires (seriously, i can get nitrogen for free at Costco). Regardless, i never authorized this add on. They refused to remove the add ons and expected me to pay for it. I ask Victoria about it. She said they add it to every vehicle they sell. I confront her about our previous conversation about no mark ups. She said this isn't a mark up. I tell her that this is not what I ordered. You don't add something to a customer's order and then expect them to pay for it when they didn't request it themselves. It's like going to a pizza place and ordering a one topping pizza for $10. When it comes out it's a supreme that costs $20 and they won't remake it. They say you have to pay for it. This was exactly what happened to me. She was so arrogant. Victoria said I can cancel my order or pay the add on. That's the price. Take it or leave it. They said this car is so hot, someone else will take it. She also added that I wasn't the first one to walk away from their reservation. This tells me this happens a lot. Before, I was excited about my first EV. I had high expectations amid glowing reviews of the car. But at this point, my blood was boiling. I felt they were being deceptive. Everything Victoria said was not true. A manager called me a few hours later asking me when i was going to pick up the car. I ask him if he knows about this add on. He said that's what they do. His exact words were "Its just supply and demand". So this is how CardinaleWay does business. I've come to realize that they are really short sighted. They only care about the sale. Your employees are the face of a company. If your sales staff are this unethical and lie straight to a customer's face, and don't value your customers, i have to wonder how the rest of the company operates. I was very excited to get the car. I waited almost six months for it. My excitement went to anger and has now turned to disappoinment. This disappointment isn't directed at Volkswagen the car company. It's directed at the dealer, CardinaleWay Volkswagen. If anyone is going to this dealer, buyer beware. I will go out of my way to never visit this place again. Bought a Hyundai and took it to this dealership for service about 6 years ago. The mechanic drove my car home to test t out and put 250 miles on it. I was very upset and let them know as such. Fast forward 6 years...I went to Cardinale Way VW and purchased a VW. 4 months after purchasing a brand new car, the car has problems. Took it to the same dealership we bought the car from, and had the worst service ever! Paige, the service MANAGER is so rude and condesending. She told me they need to keep the car for several days and that they do NOT provide any alternate means of transport during that time. I told her we needed something and that I cannot do without a car for that many days. She said "VW has the worst loaner/rental car policy in the industry". I told them that I will pick up my car without any work done by them. I took the car to another dealer. They indicated that Cardinale had completely misdiagnosed the problem, and fixed the car in 1 day...free of charge, and gave me a loaner during the time they had the car. Sadly I've tried to buy two cars from this dealer and both times ended up somewhere else. In 2017 I was looking for a new VW that was a bit hard to find at the time so I emailed a couple of dealers. The CardinaleWay VW online sales person reached out to tell me they had the car so I exchanged a couple of emails and confirmed they had the vehicle. I was set to go but as we started exchanging information on the price the number kept moving even after I asked for the "out the door price" and it wasn't because of taxes. I got tired of the games and started looking around again. Within a day I found the car that was supposed to be on their lot at Capistrano VW... I ended up buying the car at Capistrano VW with no hassle, no games, and at a much better price. Fast forward to this past weekend. I'm looking for a hard to find used car that was listed on their website. I was a bit weary but decided to give them a try again. I sent an email to see if the car was available and heard back pretty quickly. I asked if I could stop by that afternoon but didn't hear back; I decided to stop by anyway. Sure enough the car was available and a sales person showed me the car but said it had just come in so it needed to be inspected and all that stuff. They told me they would get back to me the next day so I could test drive it and hopefully take it home. When I did hear back from them the next day via email it was about a completely different car, so I asked about the car I had just seen but never heard back. At this point I was just going to drop it but luck has it that I found the same car also listed on the CardinaleWay Hyundai website. I contacted them, heard back in 15 minutes, and later that afternoon, after a wonderful experience at CardinaleWay Hyundai, I walked out with the car I was looking for. Oddly enough, minutes after I finished up the paperwork on the car, I finally heard back from CardinaleWay VW and they told me the car I had just bought was still available; I replied to the email to tell them it wasn't... I loved Volkswagen cars so decided to look for VW van found one in Cardinale Way 2603 Wardlow Rd, Corona, CA 92882 they had Certified Pre Owned 2011 Rotan with very low mileage car was in good condition. The dealership is 54 miles away from me about an hour and half drive. October 23 2020 I got the car everything was nice every on was nice. On December 10 2020 my window stopped working! Went down and never up. It was cold and raining hat to put jacket on and a hat and hour and half drive frizzing got to dealership. Got there everyone nice again. $160 just to check what is the problem with the window. Waited for 3 hours told me they cant fix it right now part needed and will take time to arrive. "we will call you and let you know how much and when". I asked them if at least could they close window? "We will see what we can do". Well they did manage to close it and secure it with masking tape and peace of cardboard. Window started to go dawn half way home I had to hold it with my hand on the freeway in darkness and cold another 40 minutes. I tried to secure window better then professionals from Cardinale WV but it was never really closed. Then week after I got call the part came in and it will cost about $800 minus $160 you already payed. Another 54 mile drive I'm there. I told them how could it be I just bought the car and I'm already paying $800 for repairs, can give me extended warranty to pay for it? No but we can give you discount and option to buy extended warranty for $2500 and it will cover you for 3 years bumper to bumper 50000 miles ok good singe me up I don't want to deal with this. A warning to anyone who brings their car in for service: My wife brought our atlas down because it wouldn't start in the morning, and initially Trent was very helpful and accommodating. However, after a few days the car kept doing the same thing. So we Brought it back . The service manager(Paige) would argue with my wife about what was happening to the car, and upped the price of the rentals($35 -$55) saying something to the effect that Trent was giving us a discount but she wasn't. We rented a car elsewhere because it was cheaper. The car was brought in and only one update was given and after none were given unless We called. When we called Trent, this time around he always seemed annoyed and never knew a whole Lot. Saying they had to wait for Germany to call them. After almost a week there the dealership still couldn't diagnose the problem! It's disconcerting when the dealership that sells cars is unable to diagnosis it after so long. On another unfortunate note, whenever we asked to speak with the manager, the staff initially refused to give us his name until I looked it up on line. Then when I figured it out on line: the staff said he won't talk to people on the phone...which I do not know is true or not. Needless to say we picked the car up and took it elsewhere to get fixed. I would love to speak to a GM or Cardinale GM about our treatment because we were not impressed and would not bring it back until we speak with someone. read more

I'd like to take a moment to retract my initial review. The initial 5 star review, to be honest, was solicited by the sales representatives as a way ti repay them for their services. However, I think an honest review would be entirely helpful for future patrons. To start I'd like to make clear that the manager Ryan and sales representative David showed strengths in their sales. David was able to pick up phone calls, and relay messages to his manager, who essentially took over the negotiations and Dillion who eventually took over the customer service. They are great SALES representatives, however, they lack customer service skills by that could help build rapport. For starters, I submitted an inquiry online for a car I was looking for, A VW Atlas 2021. I instantly received communication from David who screened my calls fairly well over the next two days. We found a car I liked and so I called him to let him know I'd like to check it out. I drove a couple hours from my home to this location and arrived at about 7pm on the same day. When I arrived, David quickly acknowledged me and went to the back room to speak with manager Ryan. When he returned, he notified me that the vehicle we were negotiating was no longer there. It had been transferred and sold. They kept trying to explain that this is a common situation; however, I still believe both Ryan and David also have the ability to recognize an issue, pick up a phone, dial my number, and let me know the situation prior to my arrival; communication is also a common situation. This wasn't the first or the last of the lack of communication. Prior to this, David would attempt to negotiate, but of course would not have all the answers. Negotiation took forever because I would have to call him back to obtain an answer, agin a lack of communication. Finally, the next day, David was able to find a comparable vehicle for me and negotiations reopened. I was told I would be given the same deal as the original, and when asked if I could be compensated for my frustration, they said they wouldn't charge me for having to transfer the car to them. As if it was my responsibility? We went through thorough negotiation and the deciding factor was a Graduate program that both Ryan and David had zero knowledge about nor how to process. I found the program on the front page of their website, let them know about it, and they said "sure we can do that". Little did I know, they weren't communicating the lack of knowledge. They went ahead and ran my credit. Shortly thereafter, the classic bait and switch and any promises that were made, were retracted now that my credit had been ran. All of a sudden, the monthly payments would need to change, or the APR would have to be adjusted, or I would lose the graduation credit. I was so far into the purchase process, that I would need to adjust something instead of get what I was offered. Sure I was close, but why do I need to settle for "close enough" instead of the agreed upon offer. MORE LACK OF COMMUNICATION. A few weeks later, after purchasing the car I still had not received any mail for payment. I got a phone call from David letting me know that the reason I did not receive my account information is because the graduation program was not approved! I clearly followed all stipulations and fit all eligibility requirements, and still these two were at a loss as what to do. 30 days after initially running my credit, and because they couldn't figure out the companies graduation program, they needed to run my credit again. How did I find out? A notification from the credit bureau. Neither Ryan nor David notified me they would be running my credit again. Neither of them notified me they needed to fix a mistake. I would be fine with the process, so long as I am notified! Please use common sense and keep the customer in the loop. There were only a few times the team was very quick to communicate. The initial hello, the ask for the sale, the ask for me to do the research for the graduation program to save their mistake as Ryan Shiek says, "so we wouldn't have to eat the $500 credit". And lastly, the three text messages asking me to post a good review on yelp so that they would receive a "spiff". All of those moments were for their benefit. All in all, I take it that David may have plenty to learn about Sales being more than selling a product, but also building a relationship. He sold a product, but never built that rapport. Ryan sounded like any other manager reiterating the facts and making the same simple mistakes as his subordinate. Dillon did great just being there. But this is not a place I would recommend doing business. 1 and done transaction, might be nice. But you're better off trying to ask your VW location to transfer a vehicle away from Cardinale Way, to avoid the simple simple simple transactional errors. read more

Well, I came here tonight a Jetta owner and I'm leaving here tonight apart of the CardinaleWay family with a brand new 2017 Jetta! First, MAJOR thank you to Brett, the FANTASTIC salesperson. He called me one day last week just asking for my time to come in and appraise my 2010 Jetta. He told me they were giving away sweet deals and that it would be worth at least coming in for a talk. Let me tell you, it was SO worth it!!!! I traded in my old 2010 for a brand new 2017 Jetta with all the same features that I LOVE about my old Jetta. After short test drive, and signs - detail people brought a brand new car to window in front of office, a dealer went to put gas , somehow, a brand new magically got hit by someone and try to give car key , when we pointed out it wasn't there 2 hours ago(even dealer got into that door when we test drive) but know one saw it and admitted accident. Tried their best to convince me to take the damaged car which totall amount was more than 60k, and promised fix it like a brand new and called me almost a month later to pick up all scratched car. (Service manager confirmed as new car - im a lady nothing knows about the car still can see all scratches from 1time looking at car) I had to cancel everything at that point because there was no trust or credit I can't give to this dealerships work. Sent back my auto loan check to Capital one right next day I canceled but WRONG ADDRESSS, but they didn't put any Info or account number about this check on check or any explanation, Capital one couldn't find what this check for. I had to call Capital one to find a check location and fix it. How unprofessional, you sending check but there is no info about check how Capital one will find this check belongs to? Perfect dealer ship to SCREW YOU with smile. Please please please do not go here buy car. Also when you sign financing so much hidden fee " we put this and that on your car" price goes up and up and different price from window paper price - not saying tax and dealership fee. Ohhh after 1 day I canceled, I saw my returned, brand new but not original door or bumper car that I canceled was on website with same price !!! So if you bought Navy/ivory interior gv70 from this dealership or CardinaleWay Genesis... hmm Back seat from passenger seat Door and bumper is not original. Just wanna let you know!! Feel free to massage me, I can talk to you in person, this is not scam or just bad review. There is no place to complain about anyone in this company. I had to call Volkswagen and genesis USA to leave complain about this dealership. And if owner read this, please please check on your employee they don't take care your car or customer at all. Great buying experience. They are friendly and not pushy. I didn't buy on the first visit and they were okay with that. Did not become pushy or rude to me when I left and said I needed to work out the numbers and consider everything. When I returned and was ready to see if we could work out a deal I dealt with Dylan and he was great! Dylan was friendly, courteous, and honest. I went in to CardinaleWay VW today hoping they could something for me. I had to let go of my Jeep, still owing on it, even though I love that car! I wasn't too optimistic but I sat down with David Aguilar and we were able to work something out quicker and easier then any other dealership I've been too! Jaydee was awesome in helping my family and I get the car we want at a good price. Originally, we came in just to browse, but we end up in a couple of hours buying a new car. He was a great salesman by trying to work with us on the price and car loan. Also, we had no problem test driving the car right away when we first arrived.
