Moore Plumbing and Drains has provided plumbing support for my home in Escondido three times over the past 6-8 years and they have always done a top notch job, reasonably priced, and done what they said they would do.. Jordan deserves special mention since he has always been outstanding. I don't normally write reviews, but the emergency I had last Saturday afternoon is noteworthy. As I got ready to take a shower in a downstairs bathroom the washer upstairs drained explosively and put nearly an inch of water in the downstairs bathroom. And all three of my toilets added to the water. I called Moore and Meghan stayed assessed the situation and gave me her private number. She didn't have anyone available but did recommend another Plumber in our area. I called them and explained the situation, but by 4 AM Sunday still had no response. Meghan called back and when she heard we were still without toilets, she scheduled Jordan, who came out on a Sunday cleared my drains with their state of the art instument and drain camera and one toilet was working within less than two hours. He then repaired my other downstairs toiletk installing a new complex sealing gasket that he had to run out to a friend for the part on a Sunday. All that and a cheerful attitude and a very reasonable price considering it was a Sunday. They were incredibly professional and explained things in an easy to understand manner. During the process they noted that the sink we purchased had a slight bend. My roommate and I are senior citizens who had no heat thanks to a $395 and SDG&E and Moore's Plumbing. My roommate is recovering from having a stroke in July. In November, I had a rep from SDG&E come to the house because I smelled gas whenever I used the clothes dryer. The rep looked under the mobile home and behind my dryer and used a device with blinking lights to show me that the leak was coming from the pipe behind the dryer. He told me that the leak was only there and that I'd have to hire a plumber to fix it. He emphasized that he was showing me where the device went off and not to allow a plumber to tell me that the leak was somewhere else because this spot was the only place where there was a leak. He said he'd locked me out of my gas usage, and he'd turn it on once a plumber had fixed it. He gave me a pink slip and left. I hired Moore to fix it. The plumber did detect the leak behind the dryer and said there was nothing under the home that suggested there was a leak. He said that SDG&E had not in fact locked up the gas and that it was working. He only had to move something over to check out the pipes. He went to the store, got a pipe, and installed it behind the dryer. The smell of gas was gone. Seven pointed out that the guy from SDG&E had mistakenly marked "Housepiping" on the pink slip instead of "dryer" and that I should call a plumber and not SDG&E no matter what. I do believe that SDG&E is evil. I had a run-in with them years ago. Stephen assured me that everything was turned back on and that the gas would work. Later, the gas stove would not work. SDG&E said that their meter showed that the housepipe had not been fixed and they wouldn't come out. I was convinced the problem had been fixed because I no longer smelled gas. I called Moore and Steven came out and lit the pilot light. In mid-November, I went to turn on the gas heater, and it didn't come on. I called Moore's and was told that I had to pay another $189 besides the $395 I'd already paid for someone to come back out. I expected to be made whole when I had the work done. I didn't pay to get further screwed up. I hung up and called a friend who has rental properties. He instantly knew that they hadn't lit the pilot light on my heater. He came out and turned a knob. The heat came on. This was what I would have paid $189 for if I had not known him. In my opinion, the employees at Moore Plumbing are incompetent and I would not hire them again. read more

We found Moore Plumbing my accident. The company that we hired to do some Mold remediation nicked a pipe while doing some demo in our primary bathroom. They called Moore Plumbing and Chris showed up right away to fix the broken pipe. Since we were impressed with their responsiveness, we called them to get a quote to redo ALL of the plumbing on our 37 YO fixer-upper. The price seemed fair and we were confident that they would do a great job for us. We were not wrong. After all of the plumbing rough-in, we had them back to give us a quote to do all of the finish work in both bathrooms and kitchen. I forgot to mention how nice this team of professionals are. Jordan (owner), Chris, and Meghan were so patient and accommodating during our renovation. If we any have plumbing needs in the future, we won't hesitate to have Jordan or Chris back to help. In addition to running new pipes and installing new faucets, fixtures, toilets, and one bathtub, Moore also installed a new Halo water system and a Tank-less Water Heater. It's comforting to know that our plumber is just a phone call away and that they will undoubtedly be doing business in our area for a very long time. My reverse osmosis's system was not producing water. The company said they repair RO systems. The technician came out opened one of the filter casings and did not tighten it properly when he replaced it causing a slow leak that I did not discover until the next day. This ruined my cabinet floor. The owner refused to take responsibility for this mistake and said it was my issue because the system was malfunctioning when they arrived. He was unapologetic, aggressive and dismissive which is highly unprofessional. Bottom line technician was unable to diagnose the issue and was sloppy in his work causing damage to my kitchen cabinet that is now an issue. I wrote a google review to warn other consumers from my experience. On 7/20/2022 the owner replied to my review on Google to say they had no record of me in their system basically trying to discredit me and say I made up this story... which is even more unprofessional and dishonest given that i have an estimate for $473 from his company to replace my RO system that actually did not need to be replaced and has actually not been replaced. I ended up calling the manufacturer who told me my issue was because all the filters just needed to be replaced. Which I did and the unit works good as new. read more

I have never experienced the level of service I experienced with this company. We originally got in touch with them when we thought we had issues with a gas line. Jordan responded and just happened to be in the area. He came by within minutes in the later evening and confirmed for us that it was an HVAC line. Very courteous and kind. A few weeks later we had a washer and dryer delivered. The installers broke off our water value and long story short we ended up having water damage on our wall. I called this company back and Abel came out to assist. He was swift and friendly and super helpful. A few days after he was done I call the main office to ensure our billing was set and Meghan was the best office manager I've ever spoken to. This is most horrible plumber I ever used in San Diego. A couple of day ago on 17OCT22 Moore Plumbing and Darins claimed they fixed the leaking sewer pipe at front yard. However, last night (21OCT22) the "repaired sewer pipe" caused separation of sewer pipe and check valve (Sewer water everywhere). Called Moore plumbing the next day and the owner of Moore Plumbing yelled F* word at me and asked for money they fixed on Monday and additional $1500 before he can send plumber to fix the problem. Just filed complaint to CA State Contractor Board and ready to fight Moore Plumbing and Drains in San Diego County Supreme Court. read more

Buyer Beware! This company uses unethical practices to overcharge their customers or should we say victims. We had a shower that was pooling water on the tile floor We called for an appointment and was told that plumber would come out. A leak investigation may be needed and that would cost $375.00. I was told that the plumber would let me know if leak investigation would be needed once they came out on the job at that time we could decide if we wanted to proceed. The plumber came and I showed the shower that was puddling. I turned on the water to recreate the scenario for the puddling. The plumber said it was a bad shower door design. He sprayed water back and forth on the threshold. When he left my Aunt was given an invoice for $375.00. The plumber did not state he was doing the leak investigation nor did I give him either verbal or written consent. By simply turning on the water did that constitute the beginning of the leak investigation? I called the company and spoke to a representative and told them what had occurred. They asked if plumber used any gauges or checked the water meter to see if there was a leak. Meghan called me back later and told me the plumber had years of experienc. She kept talking over me when I told her the plumber did not inform of the leak investigation and I did not give consent. She kept repeating the same thing over and over. This is not right! We had a leak in our main water line. Moore provided a quick response to our request for an evaluation and estimate via Yelp. They were able to adjust their schedule to send someone out quickly.
