Really good chai! Cute coffee shop ambiance with WiFi, and fast drink service (it wasn't really busy, but still appreciated). I got the dirty chai (chai tea with espresso) - the flavor was really good and it was a good cup size for the price! It also wasn't so hot it was hard to drink, just a nice warm temperature which I appreciated. I got coffee elsewhere the next day but I wish I had gone here again.

This is indeed one of my favorite spots! The girls at the register are super friendly especially Dana I absolutely love her the food is actually very good. I didn't know what to expect considering it was the first time I had ever eaten at a golf club. My favorite is their blueberry scones and vanilla muffins oh and don't forget the corn chowder it is to die for!

If you are looking for a place to grab a light bite with a coffee, juice or smoothie that has a nice, shaded outdoor space, then check out Mojo. The outdoor seating is the star of this good, but not exceptional quick serve cafe. The cafe is right as you enter the Grayhawk golf club, but you do not need a membership to eat here. I had a Coco Loco açaí and peanut butter bowl which was topped with bananas and cocoa nibs. There was supposed to be granola but they had run out so I think they gave me extra nibs, which was fine. The staff were friendly and they brought my bowl out to me. I also tried a gluten-free blueberry muffin. They had three different GF muffins plus energy bites, regular pastries and some brunch items like burritos, omelettes and toasts, plus alcohol. The latter was being enjoyed by a group of golfers even though it was only 10:30 in the morning. The muffin was loaded with blueberries but the cake was pretty generic, like a store bought mix, OK but I wouldn't bother with this again. I really enjoyed the lush patio which had several seating areas with lots of plants making it feel 15 degrees cooler than the typical Arizona temps.

I ordered the salmon poke bowl with brown rice. What I received was the salmon poke bowl with quinoa. The iced tea was $5. A side of Brussels sprouts was $8 and very small. Our table had poured and downed almost all of the water in the carafe before I noticed a small black beetle submerged at the bottom of it. When I told the server, he replaced it, but didn't give everyone new glasses. Only me. My friend ordered a wrap and asked for it to be gluten free. The person who brought the food told her that it was gluten free. The server, who had taken the order, came back and told her it wasn't gluten free. He told her he'd replace it and take it off of her bill. It took her forever to get the new wrap. And when she got the bill, he hadn't removed it from her tab.

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

We sat outside in the evening shade for a nice gathering. We shared the Cuban Caesar salad with romaine, manchego cheese, sliced pears, toasted pepitas, masa croutons, avocado, fried plantain chips and Aji amarillo Caesar. The salad was crisp, well dressed and delicious with the fried / curled plantain chips. The shrimp cerviche with fried plantains, blue corn tortilla chips, lime, cilantro and cucumber pico de gallo was ok but not remarkable. Our final selection was the Gaucho spiced skirt steak with chimichurri, and masa potato cakes. The steak was overcooked, not medium rare, bland taste and tough. The potato cake was tasteless. Overall, the ambience and service was good, however, the food lacks any hint of Cuban flare except for the fried plantains. When I think of Cuban food, I salivate for the unique taste profiles with a hint of sweetness from the fruits. At The canal Club, I found it non-existing. The name, setting, and environment is good but the kitchen needs to let in on the theme being Cuban.

I ordered the Honey Jalapeño Chicken Sandwich with fries, and so did my friend. We both agreed it was delicious especially after adding a little ranch. One of my friends ordered the Huevos Rancheros and really enjoyed them, while another got the chicken sliders and liked them so much she took the leftovers home and happily finished them later. The highlight of the experience was the live one-man band, who created a great atmosphere, and our server, "Flexy Lexi." She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Great food, fun drinks, live entertainment, and excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

The six of us were seated across from the bar, and it was HOT . I started sweating and needed to use the menus as a fan and drink water to try and cool off. The restaurant had already been open for almost 2 hours, so I am not sure why it was so hot inside (others in our party were hot too, so I wasn't just me). Positives are the restaurant's beach decor and the hamburgers. Several people in our party ordered burgers, and they were cooked to perfection and the fries were really good! Negatives are very few seafood menu options and the fish tacos were terrible. They were drowning in a mayonnaise based slaw. The corn tortillas were really fresh and tasty, but when I bit into my taco I could mostly only taste mayonnaise and the pickled onions. Our friends even made an unsolicited comment that my tacos did not look good. Luckily, I selected fries as my side, because they were the best thing on my plate. With a name like Montauk, and the beach decor, I expected more fresh seafood options on the menu. More than half the menu was not seafood (Mediterranean platter, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, brussels sprouts, salads, etc.). Unfortunately, Montauk does not live up to the hype.

We kicked things off with a complimentary prickly pear vodka cocktail (delicious) paired with a comp app -- looks like they rotate these, and I got hummus with crudite and crackers. During the meal, there were 2 standout dishes that made this memorable. - Hamachi Crudo: THE BEST crudo I have ever had. They switch up the dressing regularly, but whatever they put on mine was unforgettable - 10 oz Wagyu Strip: solid steak, but nothing "Wagyu" tasting. It didn't have that melt-in-your-mouth fatty richness I was hoping for from wagyu and was slightly chewy. - Scallops: tender! - Asparagus: came with a creamy sauce which was a great touch - Chocolate Espresso Mousse Cake: MAGICAL. Layered, with crunchy pralines and vanilla ice cream. If you've had the chocolate hazelnut cake at Carbone, this gave me major similar vibes... that good! Will absolutely be back to try a different cut of steak and also the loaded baked potato. The ambience alone is worth the trip, but the crudo and that cake are what's going to stick with me.
