Overall, we had a great experience. The team they provided were very nice and did the job quickly. The only problems we encountered was that they scratched our wall in the hallway entry moving the couch in (a couple of paint spots chipped, but I was able to clean up the rest of it) and one of our wall shelves broke while in transit. We hired careful movers for a job moving from the Bay Area to Southern California. The project lead was amazing, but I can't say that for all of the crew. We hired them to come several days prior to the move to help with packing which really helped out. They are fast and hard-working. The estimator underestimated the amount of space we would need on the truck, so we had to order another truck the day of the move and so our cost was much higher than originally expected. The move went well, the team showed up the next day Several hours late, which was not so bad but I could've used some sleep and I had to get up extra early and check out of my hotel to get to the house. Overall, the move went well I think because of the project lead was very very good. However, some of the team that came on the second truck to help or not Very experienced and some of the communication around handling of our furniture was not transferred. We had marble top furniture and I was very specific on instructions, packing, etc., and carrying the marble tops. When I saw that everything was unpacked with the marble tops, I went to inspect and I noticed one of the marble tops was completely cracked in half With a huge crack mark obviously showing. No one came to report this to me and so I was very upset that they were not transparent with what had happened and when. If the marble top was not cracked, I would've given them four stars, but unfortunately, the careful movers were not so careful with marble. The team blamed it on the estimator because I did communicate clearly over video about what fragile items we had in the bedroom such as the mirror and the marble tops so they blame the estimator for not sending the proper Packaging materials. read more

This is a review on the price quoting process. In short if you reach out for a price you will get spammed with calls, texts, emails, voice messages so think twice if you think this will be a quick and hassle free process. I reached out to careful moving companies on yelp, really just wanted a quick transparent hourly rate and what it includes. I ended up having a phone call which they say will be quick and accurate. The agent asked me many detailed questions and talked about every little other details and even said they would send movers at a certain time but still did not give me an hourly rate or how many movers they would send for that price. In the end I had to interrupt him after a 10-15 min phone call as I am rushing to work and said "look I am not committed and really all I am looking for is your hourly rate". He gave it to me and that number is way higher than other companies (which I feel like is probably why he bombarded me with all the details instead of being transparent about the price). Anyway I told him that that's all I needed to know and I will reach back out to him if I am interested. The next morning I am still getting another call, text, email and voicemail asking to talk and discuss the quote. None of the other companies that I have reached out to is doing that so clearly I will be moving forward a different company. Originally going to give a one star, but I messaged their yelp agent and she was nice and responsive so I added back a star. read more

Jose was our foreman and did a great job leading the crew to help us pack and move. He was very efficient himself and did a great job assigning work to others so the team worked effectively together. Nothing was damaged during the move. I also appreciate Jose advising us to increase the # of movers from 4 to 5 for our actual moving day because he noticed how much stuff we had during packing day. That was definitely the right call as it allowed us to finish moving earlier on moving day, avoid over-time pay, and we were able to have some quality time to unpack before the day was over. EXCELLENT!! Careful Movers just completed an interstate move from California to Washington state for us yesterday. We needed two 26' trucks, so it was a big move! After researching 17 companies, I chose Careful Movers because of their diligence in estimating, fair pricing and fabulous customer service. I wanted a door-to-door service, so my belongings were not in the same truck as other customers and my delivery was direct after loading the trucks. They were fast loading up...seriously fast, but every box was treated like I was a family member. We have opening about 50 boxes and every box is intact ... no damaged goods! I'm confident, the rest of our shipment will be the same. Ismael, Jose C and Delpiero were professional, communicative and did a wonderful job. They were kind and personable...a bonus! We ran out of boxes, but luckily, they carried extra boxes and tape at a charge, which was convenient. We also paid extra to help us finish packing. Our places had stairs they had to maneuver up and down, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without them. Our moving team was great they took care of the pack and moving . David , Jose , Gustavo and Oscar were fast and got the work done . We had challenges with moving from a second floor apartment to a three story town house and it was a lot work . My partner had to be completely focused with his studies and I only had Friday and the weekend to be available to direct our moving out in short time.
