Came in at exactly 7;45. Naomi asked what I was there for. ( in the lobby) very unprofessional and embarrassing as my situation is embarrassing. Naomi told me they stopped seeing people at 7:45. I said well it's 745 when I came in right she said yes , so I said we're good then right? She said no, we can't see you for that today. The open sign is still on. Their lights are still on. Our son's been fighting this cough. Yeah, this time of year, something's always going around, but the up & down weather doesn't help much either. Initially, he saw the NowClinic doc (online), said it was either Bronchitis or the Flu; prescribed some meds, if it doesn't get any better, go to Urgent Care, the doc said. So hubby went here with him a week or so ago. Got meds, said it was Bronchitis. Finished the meds, antibiotics. Not getting any better. And last night, we were here for the second time (this would he his third visit). Hubby said that the nurse practitioner, last night, was very thorough; checked his ears, checked his breathing, and then, suggested getting an X-ray in order to rule out Pneumonia. Results showed that there is nothing in his lungs. Prescribed new meds, not antibiotics. Allergies could've flared up because of the recent windy weather. Also, post-nasal drip is causing the coughing. But said maybe he had the Flu, not Bronchitis, and that's probably why the antibiotics didn't work. Noone else was there. Made the appt online. Extremely unprofessional and rude staff. My visit to CareNow was a terrible experience, largely because of how unprofessional and disrespectful the medical assistant and the nurse practitioner were. Their tone was rude, dismissive, and lacked even basic compassion. I felt rushed, unheard, and treated like an inconvenience rather than a patient needing care. There was poor communication throughout the visit, no empathy, and no effort to make the situation better. For an urgent care center, especially one called CareNow, you would expect concern, professionalism, and respect. Instead, it felt like they simply don't care about their patients at all. This office unethically tried to bill my our credit card again weeks after our visit without our permission. Check your credit card statements after visiting here in case they try to run your card again and charge you more. This is just so unethical and broken. "Patient Consent: Regardless of the format, obtaining the patient's clear and explicit consent to store and charge their credit card is essential. Simply including it in paperwork that a patient might quickly sign without fully reviewing might not be considered sufficient consent in the event of a dispute." Understand your rights. Some providers may ask patients to voluntarily place a credit card on file but may not require it prior to providing medically necessary services. We got our benefit summary from our insurance and they should NOT have done this, the insurance covered everything that we didn't pay, too. Slimy! read more

These are the most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. The nurse doesn't even know how to take blood pressure properly -- I never thought in my life that taking a blood pressure reading could hurt. I'm a grown man, and she somehow managed to cause me pain doing it. If you don't have insurance, they couldn't care less about you -- they just want to get you out the door as fast as possible. I came in with breathing problems, a fever, and headaches, and all they did was prescribe ibuprofen. A day later I was taken away by ambulance because I had pneumonia. I specifically asked them to do an X-ray and give me a proper examination, not just check my temperature and blood pressure -- I could have done that myself at home instead of paying $200 for it. Came for a sports physical, and checked in online. Was text to come at 4:08 and the appointment would be within 15 minutes of that time. We were then told it was a 45 minute wait, so we left and came back as advised and told we wouldn't lose our place. Finally, we were brought back and put into a room, where we waited an hour longer. We were sent to CareNow by a new employer for a drug screen. They were hoping we could start next week and said in order to do that we would have to get the test done this morning. The first CareNow we went to told us their machine was down and they didn't know how long it would be so they sent us to another one. When we got to the next one after we went through the check in process again they told us their machine was also down and we would have to wait a while. When asked for a time range it was probably an hour. Obviously we were concerned the employer would think we were trying to skip out on a drug test and asked if we could have a note to show the employer so we could go to a completely different company that wasn't having this issue and they said no...there was another gentleman there that was dealing with the same issue. Probably the worst quick care type facility I have ever been to. I checked in on my phone and the wait was 3 hours long. When they texted me that it was my appointment time, the waiting room was completely empty, not a single person was waiting. The nurse came in and took my vitals and then did a flu test on me. She informed me that it would take 15 mins for the results to finish and that the doctor would be in "around the same time". I waited in the room for an hour and a half. The doctor finally came in, grabbed on my shoulder literally pulling me down said "let me try something" tapped my head and my glasses with his hand. No warning or anything, didn't tell me what it was for or that he was going to do a test. I'm assuming it was to test for sinus infection based on Google searches. I'm already not feeling well with a horrible headache and fever and a doctor leaning on my shoulder and tapping on my head did not make it any better. Overall was a huge waste of time and the doctor seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. If this is the closest location to you, if possible, make the drive to a UMC read more

We have gone to this urgent care 2 times in the last 2 months once for an adult and once for a toddler. They were so incredibly nice to my toddler. Even the person at the front desk was very nice and said my toddler was cute which always helps lol They took so many steps in order to get to the bottom of what was wrong with her ear and are now scheduled to go back when hopefully this all clears up. They took great care of her. My toddler is aware we are going back and has now asked me twice if we are going back today. The adult who went said they had a bit of an attitude at the front but that was the worst part for them everything was solid. read more

I hate to leave such a low review, especially when the doctor and all employees were so courteous. Unfortunately this location was very poor with handling the flow of patients. I thought I was saving time by checking in online but it didn't make any difference. There was nobody in the waiting room when I arrived, I was told that just one patient was a head of me and that he just went in and some others are finishing up back there... no problem. But I ended up waiting for soooo long in the end even though they were not busy (based on what I was personally told when I called them on the drive over and also by the comment made when I arrived too). I was extremely patient when I got there especially because I wasn't in any excruciating pain... thank god. I started to become impatient though upon the 2nd hour. I literally did not see a Doctor until THREE HOURS later (not exaggerating, arrived at 2:30pm but didn't get to the back until 5:30pm). I was almost ready to just leave minutes before I finally got called. Imagine what it would be like if they were actually busy! I hope management takes this review into account for constructive criticism, as I think this problem can be solved if they work on a better system to organize the flow. I think the staff at the facility is great! However after a 200+ copay you would think when they refer to everything is included. It's actually included. Please for those of you who have actual medical concerns just got to the ER. Only thing they have here that they can do in house is Blood pressure, x ray, and ekg if it even works. It didn't I had to go to a sister clinic. CT/ MRI will be done elsewhere. They do not provide a referral so you're on your own buddy. They do not draw blood etc. so 0 blood work. Soooooooooooooo again on your own bud. You would think if they don't have in house, they could at the least refer out. NOPE. That's not the fault of the staff. That's the fault of the corporation. They also asked me if I'm pregnant prior to the X ray- shouldn't you check for that? What woman knows if she is pregnant or not. So I replied with idk. Maybe who Knows, shouldn't you check like every other facility would? Apparently I would have to know. I ASKED to have the test run as I'm getting married, like who knows on a given day if that's a possibility lol. That should be mandatory for all females regardless of denial (liability). I'm just confused why a "urgent care" wouldn't provide urgent like care like SMA. SMA Rancho will always be the GOAT! My family and I always go this location for our UC need, and since we're already in the system, our registration/check in through the link was easy and fast. We are always greeted nicely by the front desk M.A.and the doctors there are always helpful and thorough with their assessments. I went in yesterday as a walk in for some dizziness and slight fever that I was having for about 4-5 days, and the front desk MA was friendly with my check-in. The wait times are usually an hour, but I was able to be seen with in 15-20 mins of my arrival. My M.A for this visit, Mahjelle, took my vitals and history and made sure I was ok before the doctor came in. Dr.Allen came in, asked my symptoms and then went right in to exam and found what was going on, turns out I had an ear infection! He knew what I needed for my symptoms and explained what was going on and let me know about my prescriptions and how and what they were going to be used for. He put me at ease before I left and made sure I was ok. I really appreciate the time both the M.A.'s and Doctor took with me for my visit. read more

Excellent service !! I came in with a rash on my neck. I wasn't sure if I got that rash because of the tape I use to seal my trach closed, or if it was my skin disease. Besides that, I didn't get the name of the doctor and the medical assistant that helped me, but they were amazing! They were professional and explained everything to me as I had a lot of questions. The doctor prescribed me medicine and explained what it was for and how long to take, etc. The Medici assistant was very helpful with receiving my medication from the pharmacy at a timely manner. The place overall was clean and neat! It was quiet and not busy since I came in an hour before closing. Recommend this location! read more

I came to this CareNow because I was not feeling well at work and it's close to my job. I looked up the reviews before coming and saw a lot of them mentioning wait time. Welp, they are very accurate. I have gone to other CareNows and am seen within 20 minutes of checking in. I waited over 2 hours and after filling out the web checking and receiving a text to "come on in we are ready for you." What a difference between one CareNow facility and another. And how the visits can be so vastly different. After my mom-in-law was diagnosed with COVID a couple of weeks ago, wouldn't you know, in the following days, my wife and I also contracted COVID. Because it was a Sunday and we couldn't see our personal doctors (and felt warmed-over-shit), we decided to make our way to urgent care. And since our visit with my mom-in-law went so well only a few days earlier, we tried to make an appointment at the same CareNow we took her to. Unfortunately, that facility was fully booked, so we made our appointments for CareNow, located at 4075 S Durango Dr. (and Flamingo) Ste. 108, Las Vegas, NV 89147. Yikes, this place is absolutely atrocious. Our appointments were scheduled, and online forms were filled out, but we still had to wait well over one hour. The two receptionists gabbing away with personal jibber-jabber was quite annoying to listen to for almost an hour. In the one hour, we waited, only one patient came out from the back area, so what [in god's name] were the four people doing in the back office? My guess is, like the two receptionists, gabbing away with personal chit-chat. Even after we were seated, we still had to wait another 15 minutes for the Nurse Practitioner. Both my wife and I were charged individually, but when the NP came in, she only looked at my wife, and while walking out the door, she looked at me and said: "you don't look so good, either." I, of course, said we were here for the same reason, and then she looked at me, but not to the extent she did for my wife. A sexist is my guess. Or maybe I just looked shocked and surprised that she was about to walk out the door without even looking at me. She did listen to my chest after I gave her a brief cardiac history and said I should go to the emergency hospital and get checked for atrial fibrillation. Uh, go to urgent care to be told to go to ER at a hospital when I told her my history? Obviously, this NP didn't care about or listen to what I said. So I chalked it up to a waste of time and was prescribed some cough syrup and pills, and we were charged double for the 90 waste of time. The bottom line is, forget CareNow Urgent Care (at least this one and the other I reviewed) and wait for your doctor. As it turned out, when I finally made it to my doctor, she prescribed prednisone for inflammation, an inhaler, and a nebulizer, which I'd never received. But that's Las Vegas medical care for you. Woke up at 3am with a red eye...literally, probably from the filthy plane we flew in on but that is for another review. I am visiting family in Vegas so I don't have a local doctor and my sister was still asleep so I searched my Yelp for an urgent care and ended up making an online check in... it is like an appt.. it holds your place in line. I received a call at 8am when they opened telling me to come over... I was shocked... so I barrowed my sisters car and drove over. I was greeted by Michelle who was very friendly and got me started with a minimal amount of paperwork. As soon as I was done I was ushered back by Savannah who did the triage and was very efficient. Within a few minutes, Dr. Chou came back did an eye exam and had me out the door within a few minutes with a prescription. All in all I was out in under an hour. The staff was pleasant and the office was clean... I would have no problem recommending this office to my family. read more

Be prepared to be judged. I am stepping away from an unfaithful/abusive relationship, and because of this I wanted to have some STD screenings and tests done just to make sure I have nothing to worry about. When I called to set the appointment and explained what it was for without giving major unnecessary details such as the relationship itself, I simply said I wanted an STD test. The judgmental "hmm okay" I got from the woman on the other end of the phone isn't what triggered me to write this review. It was when I showed up to my appointment and was then told by that same receptionist that I was "too pretty to be coming in for a test like this.." Remember to keep your unwanted opinions to yourself, simply because you never know what is going on in someone's life. I'm not someone who writes reviews like this, but this is more of a message to the women and young girls afraid of facing the judgement that comes with wanting to take care of yourself.. yes, it's there. The receptionist was rude. I'm daughter & I came in at 8:20am(they opened at 8:00am) . Have been waiting an hour to be called back with only 2 other people in the waiting room. My daughter is covered in a rash all over her face arms & legs. However they are letting other people back ahead of us. I will never come back to this urgent care again! At 9:47 finally someone comes out to call a patient back but they called a guy that came in 25 mins AFTER me and my daughter... I stand up to tell the front desk o want my copay refunded because this is RIDICULOUS. They finally bring us back.. the medical assistant who takes us back is rude.. after doing my daughters vitals she has the nerve to SLAM the door when she leaves. Today I did the save my spot check in online and when I was notified that they were ready to see me. I headed in (5 min drive) I have been waiting over an hour to be called in. Why even do the web check in to Come and sit here for an hour? Also, the lady at the desk is not personable at all. You walk up and she doesn't acknowledge you whatsoever. Fair warning for the incompetent healthcare workers meant to 'help' at this urgent care. So I went here with my girlfriend as she was having an infection going on in her finger that we were looking to get simple antibiotics for. For reference, my girlfriend has a few allergies, one of which is gelatin, which some antibiotics when in capsule form can be coated in gelatin. My girlfriend asked the nurses and doctor MULTIPLE TIMES if the antibiotics that they were prescribing had Gelatin coating, to which they kept saying that it was fine and that, and I quote, "It's just like taking Tylenol." Wrong. Turns out, it was not the same and was indeed coated in gelatin, which myself and my girlfriend both noticed along with her mother and the workers at her pharmacy. This is also one of her worst allergies, which causes anaphylaxis and is extremely dangerous for her. What kind of healthcare worker, much less an urgent care worker, would intentionally prescribe something to a patient that they have specifically explained repeatedly is a dangerous allergen for them?! This is clear incompetence, and we were very lucky to at least have nice workers at her pharmacy (which is a totally separate place) to fix her prescription. (And just to note, when we called the urgent care to fix the prescription, they did nothing but tell her they'd "call her back" and send her to voicemail) Absolutely did not care. Just a word of advice, if you don't care about the medications and antibiotics that you are prescribing to your patients, you shouldn't be in healthcare. read more

I just hate having to wait hours upon hours. I have waited here for 3 hours and I am so absolutely disappointed with the service here. I get called in a room and here I am waiting for another 50 mins. This location is horrible at managing the flow a patients. I thought I would save time by coming here. But I was INCREDIBLY WRONG. The care sucks. We are getting ignored constantly, people that were behind us went in first. I have to go through this because my dad had an infected finger... and we didn't want it to get worse so we thought this would be a better option. But the good thing is, the nurses are really nice here... but that's about it. If you hate waiting like I do- please don't come here. Here is what my brother had to say about this place after his visit today. Very disappointed but upon looking at other reviews, not surprised. UMC quick care is way better. "There was a lack of efficiency and bad attitude. Front desk staff seemed too distracted by her phone the whole time, seemed to not want to be there - just like the provider who saw me as well. Weird attitude and rude/apathetic tones coming from both employees I interacted with. And I waited for an hour with nobody in the waiting room besides one person who was seen promptly and left right away. When I finally went up to the front desk to ask how long it would be, I stood there for about 5 minutes before the employees finished having their very loud conversation about boba tea to come notice I had been waiting. Then I was quickly met with "did you have a question?" in a very rude and dismissive tone. And that's what really bothered me. I came at around 6:30pm for a simple pre-employment drug screening. I understand they close at 8 and that it might have been a long day for them but the waiting room was practically empty after my arrival and when I went to the back, guess what? All the rooms were also empty so I have no idea what the wait was for. Not to mention how rudely I was talked to once I got to the back. It would be a common courtesy for them to notify you prior to paying for a rapid covid test that you may not "qualify" for one. Then you would hope the PA would at least be courteous about it. Instead the one we had this morning was extremely condescending. If you need a rapid test for work or an event I highly recommend going elsewhere. Came here for a sports physical on the recommendation of my child's school. I DO NOT recommend any other parents doing this and it's better to just go to your regular physician. Woman working at the front desk was nice. But, waiting 3 hours just for a physician assistant to come in and check your child out with a stethoscope for 5 min makes no sense. We didn't even get to see an actual doctor which is absurd. I checked in online filled out all the paperwork ahead of my time received a text that my appointment was at 146 so I arrived at 130 checked in AGAIN. It is now 345 and I have yet to be seen. For 45 min at the time of this review I have been sitting in a patient room alone with no idea when I'm going to be seen. If i had t already paid and really needing to be seen by a doctor today I would leave but unfortunately I have to stay here. If you can go anywhere but here I highly recommend not coming to this facility. I have no clue what is going on but I'm getting close to leaving and going to the ER.
