I visited Best Urgent Care on 12/13/2025 and was seen by Dr. Hamid while experiencing severe pain. From the start, I felt like my symptoms were not taken seriously and that I was being treated as if I were exaggerating my condition. I paid prior to being seen and again before I left. During the visit, Dr. Hamid asked about my occupation and proceeded to make negative comments about the company I work for, which felt completely unprofessional and unrelated to my care. After reviewing the X-rays, Dr. Hamid told me that nothing appeared to be wrong and that there were no broken or fractured bones. I went home expecting prescriptions to be sent in, but I was not provided with any medication to help manage the significant pain I was experiencing. Because the pain continued to worsen, I went to Southwest Medical the following day, where they repeated the X-rays. They discovered that I had fractured my 10th rib and prescribed appropriate medication to help manage the pain. Recently, I received a billing statement from Best Urgent Care that only reflected the initial payment I made before being seen. When I called their billing department, I was told they only see one payment and that there were two dates of service associated with my visit, which is completely inaccurate. I only visited the facility once. Between the misdiagnosis, lack of appropriate treatment, unprofessional comments, and questionable billing practices, this was one of the worst healthcare experiences I have ever had. It raises serious concerns about the level of care provided and how billing is handled for patients who may not fully understand their insurance. I would not return to this facility and strongly encourage others to carefully review their billing statements. read more

This place feels like a joke. The scheduling never gets confirmed. & the doctor & medical assistant were arguing in front of me as I waited so long to finally be seen. Then when the doctor prescribed me something, my place of pickup said she never put it in. I have been going to Dr Hamid since 2018. After lengthy search from my insurance network, calling different places to find out they were not taking new patients or having to wait 2 months before I could schedule an appointment. I called Best Urgent Care and had an appointment set within a couple of days. Dr. Hamid is very thorough, you get to see the same doctor every visit and build a relationship the same with the staff and they follow up when your tests and lab results are back. Office hours includes weekends, the office decor is simple but very clean. Nowadays is rare to say you get to see the same doctor and even more rare to build a relationship with doctor and staff. read more

On June 10, 2024, I arrived to see Dr. Hamid with very bad back pain. She didn't perform any exam but asked me to get an X-ray. She said she could give me shots that would relieve the pain instantly, but I would have to pay for it out of pocket--$50 for the X-ray and $25 for the shot. I explained that my insurance covers everything, but she told me she had no time for this. She offered to prescribe the medication for the shot, which I could pick up from the pharmacy. I also asked for a referral to see my pain management specialist, and she said she would write it for me. I left the room and asked the lady at the front desk if the referral was ready. She told me there was no referral or any prescription for me. I politely asked if she could check with the doctor, but she said the doctor was busy and the chart was already closed. She told me they would call me back or that I needed to return the next day. I was in so much pain that I ended up coming back the next day at 11:40 AM to pick up the referral and waited 40 minutes. When Dr. Hamid entered the room, she got very mad at me for no reason and asked,"What are you doing here?" I told her I had returned because there was no referral done and no medication for the shot at the pharmacy. She became very upset and started screaming at me that she had no time for this. She refused to write the referral and asked me to leave her office and never come back. I left the place in severe pain and ended up at CareNow, where I explained what had happened. They said this situation was very suspicious. They took excellent care of me immediately. I received the shot without paying out of pocket because my insurance covers everything. I also got the referral for pain management and physical therapy. This facility is dirty, with cockroaches in the waiting room. I had to go back twice to get medication refills and referrals. Dr. Hamid called one of her nurses into the room and gave some pretty harsh corrective feedback in front of me. Very awkward. The doctor then started arguing with me about what the pharmacy told me about insurance covering my medication and she kept pushing back. She was argumentative again about why I needed certain referrals, but this was my second visit. My diagnoses were already documented. When rebutting me about one medication she said, "Well, I don't know you." But then asked me about my diagnoses. She does not know me because she obviously didn't read my chart or review any blood work that she had ordered. The check out clerk told me she could only make one referral a day, then magically they came out with both of the referrals I needed. I never leave reviews, but this experience was so bad that I had to share. This doctor ss rude, condescending, and dismissive. She is the type of doctor of who I wonder, why did you get into this profession? She cares more about being right than listening and understanding her patients. read more

I went here to get a prescription for Wegovy, got blood work done to make sure it was safe for me, during this time she doctor kept telling me my insurance won't cover it, but I had talked with the insurance company before and verified they covers it. They never called me back, I had to go in there asking if they had gotten the results. Everything was fine and they said they had done the prescription for me. When I got to the pharmacy I found out they had prescribed me Ozempic instead of Wegovy. As I had to come back into the office and ask them to change it. They said they it is the same medicine, but I told them yes but Wegovy is approved for weight loses where Ozempic is for diabetes patients, they promised to change it. 2 days later I had to come back in asking for an update on the update, and they said the doctor would call me later that day. 2 days later again the doctor finally called me and said it was the same medication so it was fine and she prescribed Ozempic because Wegovy is sold out. As it has already been 2 weeks at this point I accept it and went to the pharmacy, Best urgent care had not sent the pre-authorization yet. Another 2 weeks go by with me following up with them 4 times before they send it. And surprise it get denied because Ozempic is for diabetes patients, where Wegovy is not. The best urgent care offices called me angry and said the insurance company had declined Ozempic and Wegovy because they are both diabetes medication. To verify I again called my insurance company and checked up if they cover Wegovy, I was very clearing tell them that I do not have diabetes, not only dose my plan cover it, but they have it in stock! I then for the 7th time went back to best urgent care to get my prescription fixed, but they just asked me to sit and wait for over 45 min before I can talk to the doctor. TL;DR after 1 month and 7 visits to the office to follow up and 4 phone calls to follow up, I just sit here with a prescription for the wrong medication. I have given up and will go to another doctor. Avoid at all cost, such a waste of time Update: Just to show, the day after i went to another Doctor, i got the correct prescription right away and even got the first month medicine from his office. And they has submitted the pre-authorization to my insurance the same day and it was approved by my insurance 3 days later. After multiple patient and customer service encounters with the staff of BUC I have to say I will never go back here again. I went to be seen originally for a employment physical. $125 dollars later I was seen after waiting approximately 1.5 hours for about 5 minutes by Dr. Hamid. Her bedside manner was not the issue. It was the absolutely unprofessional nature of the clinic staff and medical assistant that work there. Specifically, "Party" a short-haired African American female medical assistant/phlebotomist was absolutely rude and abrupt. Every encounter with her in person and over the phone was condescending and disrespectful. The other staff wasn't necessarily rude but couldn't help me solve my very basic requests. The lab/phlebotomy/apparent break room had food and personal belongings mixed in with a mish mosh of other random things. The fun did not end there... After my lab results came back I was asked to come back to discuss my results with the doctor. The office wanted to charge me an additional visit fee to see/talk to the doctor. Wouldn't you think that discussing my pertinent lab findings would be included with the cost of the initial assessment and visit when said labs were ordered?! When patients go to the hospital do they pay extra just to discuss their results with the ordering physician?! I needed to have my prescription changed and my paperwork fixed as a request from my job. I had to pay an additional $75 dollars to have them change the verbiage in another note even after calling and emailing multiple times!! I have been a registered nurse for 12 years in an acute care setting and I have never experienced a more unprofessional and inefficient medical office staff. Dr. Hamid must not care about how her clinic is run, and I would rather wait hours elsewhere with my arm hanging off than have to deal with this place again!!! read more

This place is great! Wonderful staff and very informative doctor. I've been going here for years now and this is the only place I recommend! Even after I moved across town I still drive over there due to how great the service is. Dr. Shazia Hamid, is absolutely amazing she always goes above and beyond - not to mention she's extremely knowledgeable as well! She has taken care of everything from my broken bones to any mental distress. The phlebotomist, Carde, is very gentle and pleasant to talk to! This place is scary and creepy. I'm not sure how they have maintained their license. Then Dr Hamid was not helping me but more looking for 5 star reviews for incentives . Very unprofessional and pretty disturb the nurse was even confused on her method, and apologized on her behalf. We just moved to NV & are still getting established. At first we went to a large urgent care facility which charged us $1,500, & did not solve my husband's medical issues. We found Dr. Shazia Hamid on the referral primary care list from that larger facility. Her charge for a visit, without insurance at the time was about 10% of the cost we previously paid & it did not break our bank any further. We pleasantly found Dr. Shazia Hamid to be a compassionate care physician who listened to our needs. Dr. Hamid prescribed the medicine needed & she offered a follow-up at no charge to us - knowing we were a family in transition. We did take advantage of her offer for a follow-up visit and found Dr. Hamid to be completely patient oriented, caring for our well-being first, kind-hearted and accommodating. We were able to receive a renewal prescription, & as promised, without the cost for a visit! Dr. Hamid only cared for my husband's need to receive good health care. Never got past the front lobby! Highly suggest other reputable quick cares like UMC. I had an appointment for this location today for some pain and pressure I'm feeling in my inner ear. My insurance has a program called "Dr, Tommorow", which you call and they provide you an appointment within 24 hours with a provider for a $15 co-pay, instead of just walking in to quick care or ER for higher co-pays. I utilized this service and they provided me an appointment time with this place, which is contracted for this through my insurance. Ina (sp?) even called me earlier in the day to confirm my appointment and to let me know that they received my information and paperwork from the Dr. Tommorow service and I would be all set for my appointment. She advised me that with the Dr. Tommorow service, my co-pay would be either $15 or $30, depending on my insurance (culinary which is $15). I arrive and fill out the paperwork, They then call me up and tell me I need to pay $40 for the visit. I explain my co-pay is $15 due to the service I used to book the appointment. They tell me I'm wrong, that I need to pay $40 to be seen because they are urgent care. This is after they verified the appointment with the Dr. Tommorow service. The front desk women shake their head at me and were making me feel like I was stupid. I even called my insurance customer service right there in the lobby who verified that I was indeed correct and my co-pay was $15 for the visit because I used Dr. Tommorow to book the visit. You will see photos attached from my insurance website which they refused to acknowledge as correct. I was getting upset because they refused to even try to see my point of view (which my insurance verified I was 100% correct on) and decided to leave. I am not paying them $40 for the visit when it's supposed to be $15. My insurance was very interested in me filing a complaint regarding this office not properly handling the billing, and not upholding what they are contracted for. Honestly it was probably a good thing it didn't work out because the place felt extremely tacky. Before I even went through the BS, I observed concerning behavior by a nurse at the front desk when it comes to patient privacy. She took a phone call at the front desk and was loudly discussing personal medical details of a patient. She was providing details of a patient to what sounded like an upset family member and made statements such as , "We aren't prescribing narcotics to him, he will need to take a urine test. He smelled like marijuana and was here for a cough, he's a grown man that's going to have to handle his own business not you." Sounds professional, and wonder what kind of medical privacy violations were done there disclosing that kind of info for the lobby to hear as well to whoever she was talking to on the phone about the patient. read more

Dr.Hamid is an excellent urgent care provider. She takes the time to listen to issues and helps you coordinate the best treatment. If she's running late her staff lets you know and she's very apologetic when she is late. I've never had a problem getting an in person or virtual visit. read more
