Dr. Pham and the other medical professionals who work here should be embarrassed by Jameka's behavior... Jameka doesn't have enough professionalism or empathy to answer any calls or interact with any patients. What a nasty attitude she displayed this morning. My initial visit went well, the staff did their job no hiccups... I was called with my test results and I asked if the woman would they be uploaded to the portal for me to share?... I was told yes. 2 days later, The test results still weren't uploaded. I was told the clinic uploads the results to The portal so when I called I asked the receptionist who was sweet as pie, if I could have them emailed...she put me on hold and was told to give me the 1800 number to the myhealthone portal... I asked if I could speak to whoever she was speaking too... and as soon as Jameka got on the phone... she was cold, abrasive and already offended that i asked if my results could be emailed... instead of just saying I have to physically come in and fill out a form to have my results released... she over-talked me, didn't even listen to a word I tried to say... then she sent me on a wild goose chase by giving me a 1800 number that SPECIFICALLY says "we do not share, expedite or process test results" in the recorded intro. It's such a nasty stigma on Black women in healthcare having nasty attitudes, it's 9am! Your panties cant be in a bunch THIS early.. I left the call feeling unheard, undermined and disposed of. and then Black Women already get mistreated medically. CareNow Urgent Care of Cypress, Texas is literally LIFE SAVING! I went to the CareNow Urgent Care on Barker Cypress suffering from what I thought was severe congestion and was seen by the nurse Practitioner, Ms. Pham. She was very compassionate and very thorough. After listening to my lungs, she ordered breathing treatments and a chest x-ray. Turns out, not only did I have pneumonia, but the x-ray showed that I had cardiomegaly (an enlarged heart). She insisted that I make an appointment with a Cardiologist ASAP. The next day, the clinic staff followed up to make sure that I had scheduled that appointment. I have never had any heart issues so this was very concerning to me. I did schedule the appointment and after severals tests performed by the Cardiologist's office, they confirmed that my heart ejection fraction was 20% (which indicates severe heart failure). The Cardiologist confirmed that NP Pham literally, most likely, saved my life! Everyone at this clinic was super friendly and very caring. Not only is the clinic is open 7 days a week with convenient hours, making an appointment online is very easy. You can even wait in your car until it is time for your appointment. Worst experience the doctors there are great but the helping staff such as nurses, receptionist etc are so rude. Not only do they have no love for their job but make it very obvious they don't care about your safety or anything you have going on just there to do a job. While bleeding from multiple lacerations the receptionist continues to rail me with paperwork and as doctors are preparing to operate makes them stop till I fill out my paperwork. Aswell as staff saying I had to leave cause I was bleeding too much and said I should visit a hospital while telling me I'm bleeding too much. Not to mention after being billed when I returned to remove my stitches I was charged an additional 150$ fee for "consultation" when I was just returning to get work done. This clinic is the worst. My husband had a web check in. He called to let them know he was there. The front desk personnel asked him what was wrong. Him not being a medical professional said he has bad burps and pimples. The lady for some reason went to go and discuss this with the doctor. She came back on the phone and informed him the doc won't see them and to go somewhere else. He went to another clinic where he was diagnosed with mild food poisoning and a staph infection. I have never dealt with an office where the front desk personnel determined if you are sick enough to be seen by the doc. Go anywhere else but here!!! read more

When they pick up the phone, they ask if I can hold and don't wait for a response. Left me on hold for over 8 minutes so I hanged up and kept calling back. I only had one question that I couldn't find online. Very rude. Kept ignoring my calls and placed me in hold multiple times. I'm annoyed at their service and I was a perspective client. If I have to go to an urgent care I would normally go to NextLevel. But for the sake of time and convenience I decided to try this UC facility out. Unfortunately, my experience was completely underwhelming. I would not recommend nor would I ever go back. When I walked in, the front desk associate seemed hassled that I was checking in. The place was empty with the exception of someone waiting on a family member to come out. I waited for a good bit before I got to the back. Even after the patient before me was long gone. The best part of the entire visit was the Medical Assistant who was very personable and seemed genuinely interested in my healthcare. She suggested tips that had helped her previously and gave me knowledge I didn't already have. I wish I had her name because she was STELLAR!!! (5 - Stars!!! Girl, go work someplace better!!!) I was seen by Dr. Taylor who seemed disinterested in me being there. I explained to him my symptoms and what medications I had been taking for it. I was prescribed an antibiotic from my doctor which did not work. But I was prescribed yet another antibiotic by Dr.Taylor. Even the Medical Assistant asked about a steroid shot and the Dr. said no. I've been fighting this for weeks. Basically that's all the "help" I got. Pay your co-pay and be on your way. Aside from the medical assistant, the team seemed lazy and bothered by having to do work, uncaring and stand off-ish. At the very least....fake a smile and fake some interest in your patients. My entire visit took over an hour and I legit have no idea why. In summary....if you live close to this UC, take it on down West Rd and go to NextLevel. You get in immediately and the staff has been friendly on my visits. I rated this place 5 stars the last time I was here but at 4pm on December 29, 2021 was just disappointing. Not only did they overcharged me, the medication I was prescribed with made me throw up so much that my food from lunch also went out of my nose. I was in so much pain, and rashes had appeared. All I could do was to keep throwing up for almost 2 hours. When I called the urgent care on that evening of the 29th, the nurse promised that they will prescribe a new medication but they were only able to prescribe the next day which is morning of December 30th. So I waited and called again on December 30 but now they were telling me I have to pay again just so I can get the prescription that they told me will be prepared by the morning of 30th - it was their mistake, the nurse the previous night clearly did not do what she had promised me and all the while overcharging me. I called in to get a covid test and meds after getting a positive result from an at home test. The doctor I had not issues with but the billing practice was not acceptable. I specifically asked about cost on the phone and when I checked in. I informed them I would be self paying, and I expected to be told exactly the cost and to pay my bill at the time of service. I was told the fee was 155.00 and I paid that amount and left. A little over a week later, I got a bill that said 655.00 total charges, with 565.00 paid and a 100.00 balance. I called in to billing to inform them of the error and was told that the 155.00 was just the covid test and total was 665.00 but that they applied an internal credit, as if they were doing me a favor, and that the 100.00 balance was due. This is not acceptable. There was no question on an insurance claim or any balance that might not be covered. I was told 155.00 at the time of service with no mention of any balance or invoice that would follow. I deal with financial world in my business and I see people all the time that have low credit scores due medical balances. People should be informed of the cost of service and should not get billed after the fact on the whim of the company. A 100.00 did not break me but for a lot of people that would have been a hardship. My guy went to the same place 2 days later so I am fully expecting that we will get hit with another 100.00 invoice. read more

From the nurse, to the receptionist, to Dr. Morrison, TOP NOTCH. The Dr. was genuinely concerned and interested in why i was there. He listened and didn't rush me. Unimaginable bad service not answering calls, sending you to the Dallas or Georgia billing offices to resolve their extreme billing mistakes - not taking any responsibility to help with their extreme incorrect billing. CARENOW leaves you on hold for hours. If you actually reach them they tell you your billing errors are resolved & then continue to send endless bills in error. When you try to resolve it they don't help, transfer you to voice message & never return your calls.
