When they sold me my 2010 Prius in June of 2024, they didn't mention that it was under a…read moremanufacturer's recall due to Toyota's faulty paint job. I only found out about the recall when the paint started peeling in May of 2026, and that's also when I learned that the recall only lasted till May of 2025. So I had to pay full price at Maaco on Harbor Blvd. to get the car repainted instead of getting it free since I didn't know anything about the problem before the recall expired. And while the car was at Maaco getting repainted, the brake line started leaking. They called the mechanics at Rallysport across the street, and they discovered that the whole underside of the car is corroded. The mechanic even suggested that the car had to have more miles on it than the odometer said judging from the amount of rust and the wear on the brake pads. But at least the brakes failed when it was in the shop rather than when I was out driving...

Any normal dealer or mechanic will tell you to really drive a car, to test the brakes and to feel it accelerate and LISTEN to acceleration and turns, but this salesperson (can you really call someone a salesperson if they are terrible at sale?) insisted on keeping the AC on and was incredibly, shockingly rude. I would never buy a car from Rigo/Rico, let alone a toothpick. What a waste of time. Go elsewhere, I implore you. Oh, and the car accelerated like shit.

I explained to them that I have a 1 year old and needed babysitting so needed a true time my vehicle would be done. Due to this they even had me do an early morning 1st appt so that it would be completed in time. I wake up my baby early - established childcare too. I arrive to the service area and wait in the line for 15 mins. Then a technician comes to my car and I verify that it is going to be 2 hours or less for the vehicle. He states yes it will be and has me go to an office to get a shuttle ticket. I'm waiting and he comes back and lets me know that there's no way they can complete the oil change within two hours. I ask to kindly speak to a manager and was given a business card instead and told that the two people I spoke to were AI on the phone not real people and gave me the wrong information... regardless if it is AI or not (which frankly I don't believe these telephone people were AI) they should hold to what their AI bot is saying or fix their AI that's telling people incorrect info twice. Mind you the Tustin dealership that I bought my car from has services my vehicle before and it was less than 2 hours as promised for them.

I had already purchased an OEM replacement handle from an authorized Honda parts dealer, and initially planned to have the dealership install it. However, the dealership quoted me a very high labor cost and required me to leave my car overnight due to their busy schedule. After doing some research, I found Action Auto in Cypress and spoke with Mark. From the very first phone call, Mark was friendly, professional, and transparent. Best of all, his quote was about half the price of what the dealership wanted to charge. The convenience was a huge bonus. They told me I could bring my car in anytime between 8am-5pm (and even Sundays 8am-3pm). I dropped off my car at 8:30am, and it was ready by lunchtime the same day. On top of that, they even offered a complimentary shuttle ride home--something the dealership no longer provides. The entire experience was smooth and stress-free. Mark's customer service was outstanding both over the phone and in person. The shop itself was clean and well-organized, and I noticed several repeat customers while I was there, which says a lot about their reputation. Most importantly, my door handle works perfectly now--just like when I first bought the car. I'll definitely be coming back to Action Auto for future repairs.
