The Caribbean Motel. What a gem. I don't think there is a better motel in the United States. I went with my friend last weekend, we saw this motel the night before and knew we had to book it for the next! It felt like home instantly. Every single employee feels like family. The rooms are very clean and look amazing, the view and location is in my opinion the heart of Wildwood, it simply does not get any better than this. If you are coming to Wildwood book here, I guarantee you will not regret it. Don't forget to enjoy the cabana and pool while you are here. The last true American motel at the last true American beach

Can't beat this deal. I am in!!!

Pride of ownership shows here. Owners Carolyn and George take great pride in providing an enjoyable experience for you. The staff are long timers and also have a vested interest in your good experience. All staff are friendly and caring. The rooms are very clean, well laid out and comfortable. There are several cleaning staff but Donna comes to mind as the Ambassador of the cleaning staff. She checked every day to make sure we were OK and asked if we needed anything. The motel is located a block or two into Wildwood crest in an area that is just steps to the beach a breakfast place and a few other of the old-time doo-wop motels. When the owners took over this place they totally redid the incredibly beautiful pool area and all of the rooms. Throughout the summer and into the fall they have various themed days and weekends. Many people return year after year attesting to how nice this motel is.

We stayed here on a last minute planned mini-vacation earlier in July. I have to say, when I emailed, the woman who replied was very kind. I felt like we were making the right choice for a place to stay as some other places in the area struck me as odd, asking weird questions about our ages and things when we inquired about a room. The Caribbean was not disappointing. It looks just like the pictures, though the pool seemed smaller in real life, it was still quite nice. The decor is vibrant and fun. The rooms are nice and air conditioned. You get a mini fridge (unless you get a room with a full kitchenette) and microwave. We got a smallish flat screen TV. I so want the lamps and vanity stool for my own home. I loved the colors and the look and feel. There was always enough parking so I knew my car was safe. My only complaint would be that it seemed a large extended family was staying and they seemed to take over the place. We didn't feel like we had room and privacy to spend time on the patio and kept our eye on the pool to make sure it wasn't full of people. There was another smaller family that seemed to let their kids run wild. One night they ran up and down outside the room doors squealing and yelling. We were not thrilled and tried to call the front desk but they were closed. Eventually the noise stopped and we were able to relax. I don't blame the motel for this as I don't think they were fully aware of it. We had chosen this motel because it was supposed to be quieter and in the long run, it was aside from a few exceptions. They have chairs set up outside the rooms but somehow, people from another room were almost always in the chairs outside our room and window. This is okay as we did not plan to sit out there but it often felt weird knowing someone was right there. My only actual complaint or request of the motel is that I wish the cabana lounge and pool were open a little later and that they were more strict about the no kids in the pool after 8pm. Back to the cool stuff about this place. The location is great. You are a block from Wildwood Crest beach which is one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to. It is a couple blocks from the entrance to the boardwalk though the main part of the boardwalk is a bit farther. Be prepared to walk or enjoy a tram car ride. We did both depending on how we felt. Overall: Cool decor, nice people, ample parking, nice pool, fun cool rooms and great location!

This is our first time in a very long time to stay in a motel. I was able to make reservations on line and I had really researched this place. And it's better than the good reviews it gets. In car talk it's restomod. It feels like the 60s but a lot of important parts have been updated. The room was very clean and so was the pool. We will be back.

Had an amazing honeymoon vacation at the Caribbean this week! We had always wanted to stay there and it was everything we hoped for and more! The doo wop music in the rooms was a pleasant surprise! The staff and owner are so friendly and helpful and the decor is to die for! The pool is a happening place to get some sun or swim around the faux palm trees or play some shuffle board! They even have complementary hot dogs or wings certain days of the week! It's definitely worth it to get the C-lux rooms! I will be back every year from here on out!

I'd have to say, I truly have no complaints about this hotel…read more Upon arrival Starlux was easy to find due to its eccentric design and decor. I was happy to find that the starlux has their own parking lot with free and adequate parking. Check in was simple and straightforward. The lady at the front let us know that everything we see out was free to use. Beach towels, boogie boards, sand toys, bikes, kids helmets and complimentary tea and coffee. I only wish we had known this earlier because it would of saved us packing alot of things! We had room 304. To get to the floor there was an elevator and stairs inside as well as an outdoor circular stair case. The room itself was small. It consisted of two queen beds, a bathroom, dresser, mini fridge, microwave and desk. The whole front of the room was a glass window that does not open, overlooking the street, but not the water. The only window in the whole room was in the bathroom. They have an ac unit, but no ceiling fans. The room itself got pretty stuffy due to poor air circulation. I would suggest bringing a small fan. The bathroom was stocked with lots of towels, neutrogena soap and lotions as well as shampoo and conditioner. Everything was suprising clean. The oddest thing was the small wall that jutted out a few inches from the toilet, making it a tight squeeze. The hotel also has a decent sized pool with a hot tub. We did not use them but we had a nice view of them from our balcony. They also have a small game room and laundry facilities. All in all, I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Wildwood.

We booked a "cottage" which was not a one story stand alone structure as we thought a "cottage" is to be. We were given a room on the second floor requiring going up and down a lot of steps. My husband and I are in our sixties and he has great difficulty with steps. Also we were surprised to have no freezer in the refrigerator, no table nor chair. I had to go to the main hotel 2nd floor to get ice. Also there was no simple coffee maker which normally seems standard especially if breakfast isn't served until 8:00 a.m. I told 2 receptionists that perhaps "cottage" should be removed from their website and replaced with a more accurate description. Outside photos of this building might help too to prevent older people with mobility issues from booking in the "cottage". Both receptionists were kind and understanding. One offered to move us to the first floor of the "cottage " the next day, but my husband didn't want to leave his balcony view by then because the room was so small.

Needing only one night I tried to book something we could walk to dining. Arrived about 1:30 to see if we could check in early, we could. The front desk lady was funny and personable. She was efficient with check in/checkout rules, hotel features. All rooms are keyless. Upon entering the room has been fully updated, bright, clean but on the small side. The pool busy but the noise couldn't be heard in our room. Kitchenette had a stainless steel fridge and a four burner gas stove. Everything you need to prepare a meal. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Air conditioner worked a little to well in our room, it was freezing. Two pool showers, one pubic pool restroom, small designated smoking area, ice machine that actually works. WI-FI signal strong with no issues. Start of the boardwalk across the street. This motel was awesome and I actually think I like it better than our normal place. Two things I'd change. The parking. Finding a spot to fit our small SUV was challenging, only three available with two having poles making them even smaller than the other. The walk to the beach.

The pool area was awesome and kept clean. There are several chairs and three large tables with umbrellas to use. My only suggestion is some tables in between the lounge chairs to set things on. My kids loved that there were pool toys already there. Our room was newly renovated and clean. There was a small kitchen, which was fully stocked with everything you might need to cook a meal. They came and tidied up our room each day with fresh towels. Truly enjoyed staying here and would come back. Highly recommend!

You've earned it…read more We had been coming for years, but this place has slipped into the typical vacation grift destination and is to be avoided. This property is right at the boardwalk and right at the main amusement pier. For which you need "tickets." The Blue Palms has a "funclusive" deal where if you stay there, they give you some 'free' tickets. Isn't that great? The deal with the tickets is the *main* reason we'd stay here. The location is also great. But you DO NOT GET THAT 'FREE' TICKET DEAL IF YOU BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA. Instead, they'll tell you to CANCEL Expedia and re-book through them. Even at the front desk - as we checked in - they advised us to do that! (Never mind the Expedia policy for cancellation indicated 27 April was my latest opportunity). The manager went into some detail that, had I listened *carefully* to the information message (which I did), I would _know_ that I would NOT have the ticket benefit unless I canceled Expedia and instead booked directly. It's enough to make a cat laugh. That's slimy, low, cheapskate grifter behavior. To save themselves, what, $10? Maybe? They rip off Expedia, rip *me* off, rip off my rewards, etc. Why not put it in your advertisements? Setting their mountebank behavior to one side, let's discuss the stuff that ruins trips in the immediate sense, not just the "I feel like I've been robbed!" sense: * No control for room temperature. There's a fan (1,2,3) control, but no thermostat. Hope the temp suits you! * Used to have free bikes for guests! Sure they were rough, but at least they had them, a nice convenience. GONE NOW. OK, I get it. Times change and prices rise, so they put in a rental bike system. BUT THEY HAD ZERO BIKES. It's not like they're all rented out; they're just not there. * Good Luck if you have to park in the section of the lot nearest those for-pay bike racks that don't actually have any bikes. Its preposterously tight dimensions are a hazard to driver, car, pedestrian, and stroller alike. * See photo. Dirty sheets :( ... to be fair, I'm not sure I cared that much. But after all their charlatan behavior, I am duty-bound to include a photo of the vague-ishly dirty top sheet. **** An outfit like Morey's should be better than this. **** P.S. A slight tangent, to be sure: You can hear the Honky Tonk bar from the hotel. This may or may not be pleasant according to your tastes. But I can tell you this: If you can hear the Honky Tonk from the Blue Palms, the Honky Tonk will be *painfully* loud inside. (Yes, I am an expert. Feel free to inquire within). *** PROS *** : 1. We arrived on Saturday night for a two night stay. Sheila greeted us and proudly showed us her home. The theme throughout the home is the fabulous 50's. We're shown into the kitchen and it is a beautiful recreation of a 50's style diner. Each booth has a few quarters to play the authentic jukebox loaded with, yep! 50s and 60s style records. I had that bad boy crankin' the Beach Boys and Frankie Valli. There is a working Coke machine (with dimes in a can) grab yourself a bottle anytime! There are two working hot tubs on the property and the front porch has rocking chairs to sit and relax. In the garage, Sheilas husband has his 57 Chevy waiting to cruise. Sheila & Rick are car people too?? Very very cool. Each morning we were greeted with an amazing breakfast. To start, a large fruit cup and freshly baked muffins were waiting for us. I poured myself a coffee as I was served a delicious homemade waffle and sausage. This has to be the best Bed & Breakfast I ever stayed at. Our room was the Marilyn Monroe room. Lots of Pink! When I walked into the room, I didn't know what to expect. My wife filled up the Jacuzzi and used the bath bomb in the water. After a 10 minute soak, I can understand why JFK kept Marilyn as his side piece. We checked out on Monday, we were the only guests in the B&B. Visit Date: July 28, 2025 into July 29, 2025…read more My boyfriend's family was staying here for their Summer Vacation. My boyfriend was there from Monday to Wednesday, my son and I came out to stay Monday night into Tuesday and we left Tuesday night because I had a notary class the next day on July 30. I did love it here, my one issue was not enough parking. They only allowed one car per room to park on the property. I had so much stuff with me because I was not only packed for one night in Wildwood but packed for the next week without my son in case I ended up sleeping over anywhere. I usually don't sleep over anyone's house but my sister's but I always carry extra clothes on nights I won't have my son in case I end up being offered to sleep at a friend's house or something I'm prepared. So because of my issues with being prepared and having too much stuff when I found out I couldn't park at the hotel I had a mini heart attack on the inside. When I got to the hotel, I had to figure out what I needed and unload my car and than I ended up parking the car 3 blocks away. I am not sure if they can arrange more parking, I don't know if it's possible but it's the one gripe I have. The room my boyfriend, son and I stayed in had a king size bed. I bought a cot for my son to sleep on but my son ended up at the end of the bed because he didn't want to sleep in the cot, I ended up in the middle of the bed and my boyfriend ended up at the other end of the bed. The 3 of us fit lol. The room had a kitchenette. I love the rooms with the kitchenettes. I like to bring groceries with me on trips so I can save money on food out so anyplace that has a kitchenette I love. I bought regular coffee to brew and were dismayed to learn they had a keurig, if I knew that I would have bought some of my disposable k cups with me. It ended up being okay they had starbucks k cups that they provided and I was more than happy to drink that. They had a pretty nice pool. I didn't get to visit the beach but I heard they provided beach accessories. This hotel was also located at the end of the boardwalk and very close to it. I would stay here again if I were given a chance.

We parked in a single spot and they do have additional parking up the street. So stop whining about the parking. Simone the manager was very nice and we chatted for a while. COVID decimated this town and it these places are trying to get back to making a profit. So tip your housekeepers. There are 2 of them so leave 10 a night. If You're from Jersey then you tip hard. If you're cheap then shame on you. You stay here because it's convenient, clean and you like being around people. The partiers, crowds and noise are all part of it's charm. You don't come here to get rest, calm and solitude. If you want that then you're in the wrong state. If you grew up in Nj like I did we'll share but we won't shed a tear if you leave unhappy. We love this place. The inconveniences are all easily overcome. We book early in the year so we get great prices $141 a night. $500 less than if we booked now in July ($635 vs close to $1300 w/taxes & fees) for the same 4 nights Mon-Fri. I've read the reviews on all the major sites for the place. Most seem to be from those who are unable to manage their own expectations. They see problems I see it opportunities.
