When I saw the 4 1/2 star average review, I admit I was skeptical, but we truly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Gull. Nothing is HUGE and glamorous but you're not paying extra extravagant prices. The room fit my wife and me and our 6 year old well. It's not a huge room but had everything we needed. There was a refrigerator and a microwave. Someone came to make our beds on a daily basis (something a nearby hotel said none of the places in the area would do). We went to the pool once and it was a decent size for my daughter to enjoy. The price was affordable and the staff was receptive to our requests. There was ample parking (even if some spots were very tight). They even had complementary hot coffee! How do we know it was a good nearly weeklong stay? We only had to go to the office once regarding a small issue. We would stay here again next year! read more

I found this Awesome motel in Wildwood NJ for a one night stay heading home from our vacation. I truly love everything about this motel!! The staff at the front desk are professional, friendly and so helpful to a Grandma who was definitely worn out for the day. The one bedroom apartment was clean and had everything we could won't for one night to a week. The pool area is small but wonderful for families from toddlers to teens. I just love the one inch pool area for toddlers !! Our granddaughter had a great time. The ice machines and soda machines are a great touch. They also offer sand carts with huge wheels for families. The racks of things to do and restaurant menus are extremely helpful. I really can't say enough about how adorable and terrific this motel really is !! Highly recommend and we will definitely return as soon as possible!!!! read more

My husband and I had stayed at the Sea Gull Motel for the past two years when we had our family vacation in Wildwood. We booked our room months in advance because our vacation was in the middle of June, and they have great prices for this time of year. The ladies who work the front desk are always so friendly and since my husband and I have stayed there before, the process of getting our keys is quick and easy. The best motel in Wildwood. My wife and I stayed two nights in Wildwood in late May to celebrate our anniversary, and we were quite impressed by the Seagull. Wildwood is a beloved destination for us, and we've stayed many nights at a variety of the myriad yet ubiquitous motels on the beach. Many of them proved adequate--just adequate. When you go to Wildwood, you can't expect a 5-star experience. Most of the buildings are rundown, so we've learned to live with a few blemishes; however, the Seagull excelled our expectations. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly, attentive and gregarious. They have a lovely pool that they keep clean. The shower flowed strong and hot at all hours. And, most amazing of all, not only was the television cable package expansive with a google chrome option to stream from your phones but the wireless internet was strong and never dropped--this is a first for a motel in Wildwood! But what most impressed us was the care the staff took in making sure we had a comfortable stay. As soon as we made the reservation, Ginny, the owner, reached out to us through chat to let us know she was putting the deposit through. We chatted for a bit, and I asked her about the location of our rooms. We know that families make noise, but we wanted to know if she could place us in quieter area. She was happy to take care of us and even inquired about any special needs I have. I'm a disabled person but can get up the stairs, and it was the special care she took that impressed me. And on site you see how careful they are to take care of their guests. The location to the southern end of the boardwalk near the Wildwood sign so it's a bit of a walk down to the arcades but there are plenty of restaurants, ice cream shops and beach access down on the southside. The tram car starts near their location. Not a place to go if you're looking for a party, and I'm pretty sure they'll toss you off a waterslide if you even think about smoking on their property, which we found reassuring. The owners and staff work to create an environment for families. Take your kids here. Bring your love for a romantic anniversary like I did. My wife and I went to celebrate our 7thwedding anniversary, and we were grateful every day we found the Seagull. Thank you Ginny and staff. My boyfriend and I love to travel. This was a last minute vacation and we were lucky to get a room here. The first room we had was clean but too small for our liking so we asked to upgrade which they did so readily for us. We were able to get some groceries and make ourselves a lovely dinner and a wonderful breakfast overlooking a view to the ocean. This place is absolutely horrible! I am baffled that this hotel has a good review period yet they have multiple good reviews. The lady was condescending, profiling, snobby and beyond rude! The gentleman that reviewed this business before me is very accurate in his statement. EVERYONE BEWARE! The lady that answers (when you call this number on Yelp) is I called in and asked about availability, which the lady said yes. Her: How many people? Me: Just 2 Adults Her: Is it a couple? Me: Yes Her: Is it you and another girl? Me: Um no, I am celebrating my anniversary Her: But is it a girl? Me: No, it's a man. (Loud noise in the background from cars driving down Ocean Ave playing music) Her: Well we don't allow groups, you cant have any visitors. (She ignorantly assumed that I was partying or with a group) Me: That's fine, it's only going to be the two of us. Her: Yes I have availability, how far are you? Me: I'm on the boardwalk I'll be right there. Why does it matter if I am booking with another female? If I was with another women, would she had told me there weren't any rooms? I'm willing to spend my money here! I am a manager in a multi million dollar corporation and would never allow my business to be run in such a manner. How can a hotel that operates in one of the most popular tourist attractions and who has a majority of their income that generates directly from tourists, decline my requests on the sole reason of the office being closed. We then decided to grab dinner, and drove there around 11 pm (about 3 hours later). So I called when I got there and asked if a room was still available, she said no, and that their office is closed- which was understandable. Even so it said they had available rooms via their and multiple websites. Not to mention more than 50% vacant parking spots. So I had my fiancé call separately and tell her that he booked a room online and he was ready for check in (their door has a sign hanging to call for check-in or emergencies). She was nothing but rude to him on the phone, and honestly rude from the first interaction and every one since. She also told him that the office is closed and so that he could get his money refunded she would mark his reservation as invalid and declined as if credit card had insufficient funds!! read more

My husband and I stayed here off season. Very reasonable and clean and convenient to everything. But most of all excellent and friendly service. Very accommodating and even was told how we could easily reach owner/management if there was a problem or need. I accidently left a wedding band that was my Mother's and as soon as I realized I called the motel. They immediately checked the room and found the band and mailed it to me. I will start by saying we are pleasantly surprised with Sea Gull. This summer we've stayed at a few hotels that we found on Booking.com that were seedy. One was so bad that we even checked out an hour after arriving and willingly lost $300 rather than stay at such a dump (Isle of Palms also in Wildwood). So we kept our expectations low honestly. But... The room was immaculate. Nothing about it stands out to me in a negative way as I type this. Beds are comfy, shower is spacious, larger size mini fridge that was perfect for our near week long vacation. Housekeeping was very nice and efficient. Pool was clean and we were always about to get chairs. Very nice upgrades like glass railings, post-beach rinse off area, outdoor showers, grill/bbq area, etc. Overall, we are loving our stay at the Sea Gull. We would definitely return! read more

Excellent stay! The rooms are spacious and very clean. This motel is less than a block from the beach and boardwalk. They do have limits as to how many people should be In the Pool area, but it is not enforced. We didn't go to the pool because it was too crowded for my comfort. They offer free coffee every morning and they have two grills on the property that you can use. The staff is very nice and accommodating. We loved it. read more

Stayed with our two girls in early August. What a little treasure! Our room was bright and very clean. By about 7-8pm every night, things quiet down to the point that even toddlers would be able to relax and fall asleep. The pool area is spotless and there are plenty of sun chairs or shaded ones. There always seemed to be someone tidying up. Location is a short walk to the beach, as well as to the start of the boardwalk. One detail I loved was fresh coffee every morning outside the office!! I've been here all July 4th weekend, and even with completely booked rooms the service has been great!! Anything you ask, or need is immediately available. Also the location is great! Right in the middle of everything. The pool and upstairs deck area is always clean and being maintained by staff. The outdoor showers and bathrooms are a plus! There is access to 2 outdoor gas grills so you can cook on your own and even sit outdoors and eat your food. I will definitely be coming back! read more

Amazing little gem of a hotel. Just 1/2 block from the beach & start of the boardwalk. Quick 15 minute walk to the piers where all the rides & games are. We stayed in a standard hotel room which was clean & spacious. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place and will be staying here next year. The grounds were immaculate as where the rooms. Very good prices too. Lost one star for all the smokers who were smoking outside their rooms thus making it impossible for me to open my door & get some fresh air in our room. read more

I never write reviews but decided that I would in this case. I misplaced a sarong at The Seagull. I mentioned it to the Motel staff. They called me a day after I had left, and told me that they had found it. Then they sent it to me by mail for free. Everyone was courteous, and helped my friend and I find restaurants and beaches. Great spot for families with small children since the motel is across the street from the beach and the start of the boardwalk. The staff, especially the concierge, were very accommodating to our requests, like an early check-in and room preference (3rd floor has partial ocean views and more open space than the pool level rooms). There is also plenty of parking available on site, and the motel is located across from a diner/market that made breakfast and snacking very simple with our kids. Very impressed with the SeaGull and will return when we stay in Wildwood. read more

Not sure how this place got a good rating, but it is a dump. Rooms are incredibly tiny, damp, beds are terrible and everything is outdated. The AC unit is ghetto and sounds like you are taking off in an airplane. Smells like smoke and musty towels. I would never stay at this place again even if it was free. My family has stayed at the Sea Gull Motel for the past couple of years. We have rented the 2 bedroom & 2 bedroom + porch apartments. Both places have been very nice. The larger apartment has it's own deck off the kitchen, which was great. The cleaning staff is so nice & personable & do a wonderful job every day. The ladies at the front desk are so helpful & the lobby has tons of brochures to browse through for activity ideas. The pool is very clean & centered on their lot. Nice sized baby pool area (One Foot?) is sectioned off from the larger part. The little diner across the street on the corner is a great place to stop in for a little breakfast and they have a small convenience store attached. Another benefit of the Sea Gull is it's location. They are across the street from the beginning of the boardwalk...right where the tramcar makes it's U-turn. Great location for people-watching! We all plan on returning to this motel for many years to come to make more Summertime memories. read more

Can you say clean?! I found this convenient & clean gem on a whim. I stayed here in July for 3 nights, 3rd floor, ocean view, directly across the street from the boardwalk in wildwood Crest, no elevator but that didn't matter to me, pool, grilles, private outdoor shower stations, oh and in case I didn't mention, clean. Super friendly front desk staff. Arrived earlier than expected and they offered me early check in & a fresh pot of coffee every morning. Clean, as it should be, with the pandemic and all. This place however was a different level of clean. From the steps, to the surrounding concrete pavement all looked like it had been power washed. The bathroom caulking, tile around the tub/shower was sparkly white, trim around the windows and floor was dust/dirt free, curtains were also clean. Free ice & bagged ice was also available in the office if you needed a larger quantity to fill a cooler. Only downside was finding a parking spot in the evening hours. Overall, a great little find where staff values their guests and takes pride in the place! read more

We stayed for 2 nights and we couldn't have been happier. The rooms were a little small, but it really didn't matter since we were out early in the morning and not back until bed time. We had a room which was right near the pool ( perfect temperature, by the way). There is so much to do in the area. We walked the boards to the amusement ride piers which was only about 10 minute walk. In the morning we rented bikes from a place just around the corner. The staff was extremely accomodating and friendly. After i booked the reservation, they called to verify everything. I informed them we wouldn't arrive until closer to 8pm and they made notes on my reservation so there were no issues. On check out day, we checked out at the 10am time and we were still allowed to use their parking lot, which allowed us to use the beach without having to worry about parking. They even let us use their outdoor showers and prived us with towels before we left. What a fantastic place at a very reasonable price. Only downside was their wi-fi was not great. We will definitely be back though. read more

This motel is one block from the boardwalk. We stayed in room 110 which was a small 2 queen bed room. It had a microwave, a small fridge and cable tv. It also was right by the pool. The lady at the front desk was super nice. The staff also was very nice. read more
