The service is horrendous. They are so busy taking care of drivers thru customers they ignore those in the store. I waited 21 minutes for a coffee with steamed oat milk and was given a coffee with skim milk which I couldn't drink. When I pointed it out I was told "we're busy!" The ambiance in that store is less than amazing. I will never go there again. read more

I come to this caribou everyday before work and they consistently mess up my drink. I always get a campfire mocha which has the mocha flavor and the marshmallow syrup. This time and on many other occasions they left out all the sugar and syrup so my coffee just taste like you shoved ground coffee in my mouth and poured milk into it. My drink has been like that more times than it was made correctly. I'm going to have to find another caribou to go to. read more

I meet a friend here for tea every once in a while. Now that they've got a drive through, you have to be more watchful in the parking lot. This location appears to be very popular, as the seating is generally full, no matter the time of day I'm there. The staff are friendly and helpful and can even correctly pronounce my name on the first try! They get five stars for this alone. I only ever get a skim chai tea latte here, with the occasional chicken apple sausage sandwich. I'm not a coffee drinker, really, so I refuse to assault my taste buds. This location is convenient, which I like. Can just jump right onto the highway after my meeting has concluded. Also, the bathroom is clean. I don't like using public restrooms. When I must, I appreciate not feeling as though I need to paper the world in order to move. The Wi-Fi is wonky, so I don't bother to use it here. That's the one thing that needs to improve. read more

Typical caribou with a small inside sitting area. I wasn't too happy with the teen guy/girl who took my order. Kinda seemed like they'd rather be sitting in a corner texting. They have a drive thru which is nice but not so nice when you're in a hurry. I just got some plain old coffee in my personal mug but went to add cream and they only had half and half out. When I asked for soy the guy/girl kinda rolled her eyes and hesitantly brought more. Maybe I'll try the nearby gas station next time. read more

Just skip this store. They're always out of light and medium roast and verbally refuse to make more coffee until the next day, with 8 hours left open for customers to purchase coffee. Never have light roast and the long drive way is like driving through the Rocky Mountains, don't waste your time because there's another caribou and Starbucks within 3 miles on Robert st. read more

Very unhappy with there service... took us 20 minutes to get our 2 drinks and our bagel and flatbread. They didn't check us in with our perks... and they were not wearing gloves putting our food items in which they should have to do to caribous food guidelines and to top it all off the one girl was on her phone and I still didn't have my flatbread. Should have asked for my recipe. They clearly never checked in my perks account I told them I had 50% off drink (that I could only use that day)they did not apply nor did I get my points. Also gave me the wrong drink. I would have gone back but I had to get to my appointment. I don't normally go to this location as I normally have issues. read more

Very disappointed in Caribou's Bubble Time tea.Hoped it was going to be more authentic... nope. Don't be fooled! It's a milk/?tea with square fruit bits. Nothing like real Bubble Tea with the creamy flavors and tapioca bubbles. My advise skip it and find the real thing. read more

I always get a "not so hot" coffee as I'm a wimp to hot coffee. Got my coffee and took a sip expecting it to be no more than slightly hot (as usual) but was unpleasantly greeted with scalding hot coffee on my tongue. This may seem like a minor issue, but i genuinely burnt my tongue pretty bad and am not happy with this store or the staffs poor ability to follow through with a simple request i very clearly asked for. I come here about once a week to tutor a high school girl. The atmosphere is always great for her: there's noise, don't get me wrong, but it's always a low level of background chatter. Their non-coffee drinks (I don't like coffee, so I can't speak for those ones!) are always the delicious Caribou-ness you desire. Their staff is also super friendly. Once when my phone decided to not work, and I needed to call the hubbs for a ride, they we super nice when I asked to borrow their phone. I will keep going back! :) read more

Rude asf manager and employees. I've worked at both Caribou and Starbucks for 2+ years and they made my drink visibly wrong and refused to remake it. I explained what they did wrong and they didn't take any criticism or try to remake the drink correctly. Also the drink was literally just 4 shots of espresso with ice. read more

I've never had a bad experience here, but haven't had one that exceeded my expectations either, until this morning. I always get my coffee and 2 mini donut muffins, one for each kid, this morning when I ordered my usual there were three mini donut muffins in the bag. They had remembered my typical order and that one day I was only able to get 1 because they were sold out. I'm impressed that they remembered me and went above and beyond to make sure I had a good experience. In my opinion that's great customer service. read more

The drink was fine...Once I got it. Me (as well as 4 people behind me) were waiting in line. The blonde cashier clearly had no clue what was going on around her as she was taking her time making personal small talk with the guest ahead of me, which is fine until your other paying customers are waiting. Once she finished with the guest ahead of me, she did NOT greet me or take me order. She instead moved behind the bar and started making a drink from the order she just took even though there were two guys waiting for her to explain one of her drink memos. Finally, seeing that I was annoyed with how I was being treated, one of those guys came and took my drink order and was very nice about it. You could tell he was also annoyed with the behavior of this woman. He was able to take my order and make my drink in the amount of time she was still playing around doing someone elses job instead of her own. Not happy with hot water, it took them 20 min for our order. My order was a light roast with two shoots of espresso, I received hot water with coffee flavor... This is twice I have been to this place in Inver Grove Heights. The first time they got my order correct but took them an eternity to make my order. read more

I don't get it...I ALWAYS have great experiences at Caribou's but this one is consistently awful. Messed up orders, bad drinks, drinks that don't taste consistent, staff that is less than stellar. But today, I went in and waited at the counter for over a minute with out even an acknowledgement. I get they're busy (which btw they weren't) and I don't need to be served right away but what I do know from 10 years in customer service is you ALWAYS acknowledge a customer that is waiting. I am a fan of the cinnamon coffee cake ( perhaps I am addicted), I have been to this store several times (over 6) always early in the morning ( before 10AM) and every time they were sold out, however they had stock n the freezer but according to the worker they were not allowed to thaw any out ( orders from their manager). They need some management here. Three ladies behind the counter on what I would consider an average Friday morning around 8:45. I THOUGHT I had time to stop for a hot beverage and quick bite to go as I work right across the street. There were approximately three people standing around waiting for their order so I was able to go right up to the counter. First beef I have is there is no option for basic black tea. NONE! I said oh skip the tea and got myself a little breakfast sandwich--I kid you not I waited for at least five minutes while one girl back there was stacking napkins and putting together to-go coffee carriers and finally she said oh--did you get that biscuit to the lady working the register? She proceeded to open one and put it in the microwave and oh so slowly wrap it and place it in a bag before calling out my name. So three ladies working on what appeared to be three orders and no sense of urgency for people needing to get their asses to work to pay for this luxury. They also were not friendly which may have helped them along if they were not the fastest worker out there. read more

Just chiming in to say the same as others have already: the wait is always unusually long here. I lived blocks away from this location for two years, so I went here occasionally. There were many times when I thought I had time to stop and grab a coffee, but I ended up running late because I had to wait extra long here. I'm not sure what the problem is. I wish them the best in fixing it. read more

Called about 20 minutes ahead and asked if there was a line, I was told "no, not at this time". I then asked if I could order and pay ahead, I was also told "no, we don't do that." I decided to give it a try and head there before work since I'm new to the area and trying to find a "on the way" coffee place. When I arrived the line was to the door. Annoyed, I still stayed to see if the pace was quick. It was not. After 5 minutes, I noticed the staff were chatting with customers for extended periods, and many in the line had a bad attitude about the situation. The last 2 times I have been there, my order was wrong. The first time I was inside and caught it, no apology or anything. Just annoyance as she made my drink. The second time I went through the drive through for a bagel. They asked if I wanted it toasted and I said no. I went through, grabbed my bag at the window from a not so friendly server and went on my way. Got back to my desk and opened the bag to find a toasted bagel with not even enough cream cheese to cover the bagel. So disappointing. read more

Service is slow - I ordered a coffee and toasted bagel with cream cheese - it took over 10 minutes of waiting for the bagel before someone asked me what I was waiting for - Because now I was late for work I said do not toast it if you have not started it yet - so the lady just threw it in the bag with the cream cheese and flung the bag at me - no apologies for my wait - NOTHING.
