I decided to try the Maple Bacon Croissant from the new fall menu. It was fresh and beautifully prepared, but unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. I ate some of my potatoes, picked off my husband's plate, and never mentioned anything to our server because there was nothing wrong with the food--it simply wasn't my personal taste. We paid our bill and were getting ready to leave. That's when Nicole, who appeared to be a manager, stopped by our table. She noticed that I had barely touched my meal and asked if I needed a box. When I told her no, she didn't just walk away. She genuinely asked if there was a reason I hadn't eaten much of my food. I explained that I simply wasn't a huge fan of what I ordered but didn't want to make a big deal about it. Nicole asked my husband and me to give her one minute and returned with a gift card for a future visit. We were completely blown away. I never complained. I never asked for my meal to be removed from the bill. I never asked for anything at all. She simply noticed. And that is what exceptional hospitality looks like. It wasn't the gift card that impressed us most--it was the fact that Nicole was paying enough attention to notice that a guest hadn't enjoyed their meal and cared enough to do something about it without ever being asked. In a time when great customer service can sometimes feel hard to come by, that small gesture made an enormous impression on us. First Watch Loganville, you have an absolute gem in Nicole.
