I really liked the drink I got, BUT........... - they definitely are trying to compete with Starsucks, having milk drinks instead of coffee drinks. If you don't stir we can see the ratio. - we (3 of us) ordered and then other people came in who received their drinks and food before 1 of our drinks had even been started. It wasn't anything special, just a mocha frappe. And 1 of the people behind us got a frappe so that's not the reason! Guy who took order, was amazing by the way, but honest as well and said point blank, that's our homeboy! So, I guess homeboy status allows you to skip the other paying customers!!! Gotcha! This is a cute little spot that's great for meeting up with friends or doing some work; they do have wifi, so you can bring your computer. They only have outdoor seating, but there are a couple of seats, and I'm sure it can get crowded on weekends. They have a good menu, with some sweet and savory food options and a couple of non-coffee options too. I tried a strawberry lemonade, and it was good, although a little sweet for me. Also tried a raspberry cream cheese danish, and it was a nice pastry. It had a little bit of a cinnamon flavor, and the raspberry jam wasn't too sweet; it tasted like natural jam. I was also told the avocado toast was good. It was a pretty thick cut of toast with mashed avocado on it. Saw this little place when I was walking around Lawrenceville for an appointment and grew curious as I saw the sign for horchata latte. I've had one before when I was in Arizona and was excited to try it out! I also noted they had sweets as well. Upon entering be aware that it is a very very tiny shop. The menu is squished against the wall and overall there isn't a ton of space to browse the menu and order. However, there is an outdoor seating area that is much bigger than the initial shop itself. You pick up orders outside in that area. They also really don't have many sweets as the name of the shop states. The service was alright, nothing to rave about. I felt like I was disturbing their entire conversation when I walked in. I wasn't exactly sure how the setup for picking up orders worked so I had to put two and two together on where that area was. The drink itself was alright. I wish there was more options to customize it as the milk made it way too sweet. I'd recommend offering alternatives for the horchata as the taste just felt a bit off for me. Overall, it was an okay experience. I had been have been to Reyna's twice and super happy both times. The first time, I had breakfast and tried a Mollete for the first time. It's an open-face sandwich style breakfast piled with tomato sauce, Oaxaca cheese, beans, and choice of protein (it was chorizo for me, and I was really pleased.) You walk in, make a selection from a board on the wall, (sweets, drinks and a handful of sandwiches) proceed to the back of the store to pay, and exit out the side to the seating area. Efficient! I am loving this new addition to Downtown Lawrenceville! Reyna's is giving all the other Gwinnett coffee shops some competition. Their lattes are super smooth, their pastries and food is top notch, and their customer service is excellent! Everyone is so friendly here and I love the space. I have tried their horchata latte and pumpkin spice latte hot and cold as well as their hot chocolate and everything is amazing. Their location is awesome too. It's in DT Lawrenceville so parking on the side of the streets is a bit difficult however, I was able to park by the little park and walked over to the cafe with my fiance. Obviously I got their Avocado toast and I loved it! Well seasoned and more, I was just wondering if it was just going to be basic (which I do not mind but I need flavor!) And they absolutely did not disappoint me. I also got their Chorizo sandwich and the cheese was just so ooey gooey and delicious with the Chorizo. Highly recommend the oatmeal cream pie; they make it in-house! Service has always been on point. Espresso beverages are made to perfection. Most days if you're left waiting (on coffee not food items, I'd like to clarify that because I seen someone else getting eating up in the reviews by the store about the justification of their food being made to order) they won't even acknowledge you. Sometimes staff are standing at the window chatting with the others behind the counter or sitting down eating with friends, etc. no one ever asks you what you need, and there's always new staff so the consistency in taste can vary. I came twice within the past few days trying to order a 16oz drip. First time was around 3pm and I got an americano instead. I still tipped. Tasted very similar to drip, just more expensive. I visited again and asked if they had drip since last time they didn't, and the woman taking our order said she didn't think so, that they ran out this morning. It's a strange to think a coffee shop runs out of drip. The lady said "Well, you can order an americano! I asked how much more it'd cost, and she said "Just $2". The first time I was willing to pay more, but to consistently buy something that tastes very similar and is more expensive, just doesn't make sense. I was told that half-caff was one shot of decaffeinated espresso and one of caffeinated espresso. No, it's just one shot, no other coffee shop does that. I asked for a refund and was not given one. $6 for one shot and almond milk and ice, on multiple occasions. read more
