They (the oxtails) were about the same width as a Bic lighter, slightly thinner.

I called ahead and ordered the large stewed oxtail plate. The cost was $27.11. After driving from the NW Expressway and Rockwell, I get the plate and it's 1 and a 1/2 tiny bones. Literally half a scoop of mac and cheese and a half scoop of green beans, for darn near $30. I didn't even make it to my car. The plate was so light it was begging me to open it and see what he served me. Took the plate back in and asked him if only two tiny bones was the large plate, what did the small plate look like? Guy smiled, you know that shit eating smile you get from someone who's caught scamming. He ended up giving me two more TINY ass bones and sent me on my way. I'll never shop there again. This place gives black owned businesses a black eye and it reinforces the "every black person is crooked" stereotype. Never shop at this place people. It ain't worth the fuel it'll take you to get there. I don't ever go hard on my people like this but this was absolute BS. I'll leave a couple photos for context.

This place has amazing flavors. The plantains in particular are amazing they are super sweet and flavorful. I would have liked my chicken to be even spicier. The price is similar to what you get anywhere but maybe a bit pricey for a buffet style. The atmosphere is not that fancy, but it's easy to take out. Would definitely recommend!

This is the only Caribbean place that I've found in OKC. It's still covid and they don't have dine-in seating but based on the small line that formed right behind me, I have no doubt that this is a gem in its own right. It's a buffet style but not self serve. They serve you and had glass/plastic between you and all the food. This definitely relieved all my concerns of sanitation because I wasn't sure what to expect. They served with a mask and provide generous portions. One thing to note is that they've increased their prices so what you used to get for $10-12 maybe more like $13-$16 right now. They were out of the meat patties and callaloo which was a bummer but I got the following: Stewed Ox Tail w/spinach rice, sweet plantains Jerk Chicken Wings w/Mac n cheese and sweet plantains Sweet plantains are a fav in our house so instead of getting other veggies, we opted for extra plantains! The ox tails were juicy, fall off the bone goodness and they poured the juices on the rice ... so good. The Mac n cheese was good too. It's baked Mac n cheese so there's not the goey cheesiness like a regular Mac n cheese dish but my family enjoyed it. The jerk chicken is mild and I only ate one part of the drummette that felt a bit over cooked but since they let it sit in juices, it still tasted good and had ample moisture. I think sitting in the buffet may have overcooked it a tad. But the food was piping hot so I have no idea if they just make a little at a time and keep replenishing all day or what. They were friendly and the service is quick. Their hours are tough though. They close at 6:30pm so if you're getting off of work, you'll need to get there quick. If they run out and it's towards the end of the day, they probably won't make more. Now, if we have a craving for ox tail, we know where to find it.

I have eaten things here that I thought I would never eat and every time I come here it's always bomb. I recommend this place to anyone that was to think outside the box and try something new and refreshing.

The people here are so sweet! Will let you try anything, they also have smoothies and fresh squeezed juices. Everything is made there daily.

Red beans and rice with stewed goat, macaroni and cheese, and fried plantains for only $17 (this is the large plate)

Really great food! It's authentic and very delicious. Very small restaurant but usually quick service. Better for carry-out but there are a few seats inside. A must try.

Red snapper with spinach rice and Mac and cheese with a side of broccoli -excellent!

Relaxed atmosphere, attentive service with delicious comfort food. You better get there early because most times food may run out.

This place is closed for plumbing repairs. What? How long has this been going on. Are they going to open again. I'm moving on.

I ordered 1 three dip combo with chips. It has guacamole, cheese and salsa for the dips. Then I ordered a pepperoni pizza empanada and a chicken, bacon and ranch one. It took about 10 minutes to come out. I ordered it Togo. Got home and the food and chips were great. The pepperoni pizza empanada was stuffed with pepperoni and cheese and came with a flavorful dip. The chicken bacon one was also full of meat and goodness. Not as much bacon or bacon flavor but it was still very filling and good. It came with a dipping sauce as well. Over all it was a good lunch on them.

Started with chips and salsa. Chips come fresh and hot, made in-house. Salsa packs real heat with a nice spicy kick and tastes very fresh. I ordered the Puerto Rican beef empanadas; they delivered big flavor. I then ordered the two-taco combo next. The original beef fried taco stands out as fantastic, crispy shell, juicy seasoned beef. The Jamaican jerk chicken taco tastes good but runs a bit dry. Still finished every bite. Combo includes two sides; I added their soup and loved it, rich and excellent. Staff is super friendly and nice. They mentioned they are waiting for a liquor license soon, so drinks expand later. The restaurant is super clean. Worth the short hunt to the back. Go try it next time you shop furniture or just want solid tacos. You will leave full and happy.
