Came here after looking at yelp post and food pic. I was sold on the pancake and omelet but was a let down. Pancake was rubbery the omelet egg was thin and they just put the veggies I. The inside and fold it over. Veggies never stuck to the egg. Sausage also was the store bought 99c pack at least to me. Just a breakfast you can cook yourself at home. The service was nice and friendly. Oh yeah don't use the restroom as it's outside and shared with gas station.

The owners of Carlos' Country Kitchen came to Kaiser Permanente to get their vaccines. Me and my coworker administered their shots, the wife pulled out business cards, and told us to come enjoy a free meal on them. We enjoyed her company and conversation, she was a comedy show all on her own. I came by the other weekend and almost OD'd on this extra large Enchilada Omelette with hash browns on the side. The daughter was my waitress and she was delighted to take my order. I couldn't help but notice all the regulars enjoying themselves with breakfast, coffee and laughter. Thank you Carlos' Kitchen I will definitely be coming back!

Always awesome. In town visiting I always go visit Carlos' Country Kitchen. Went with my nephew we got the Huevos Ranchero and Enchilada Omelette. Fantastic and 1/2 order biscuits and gravy. Perfect 10 out of 10

Cozy little breakfast/lunch diner. Been here for years and has the best breakfast in town! I always get the chicken fried CHICKEN! If you love a chicken fried steak, you're gonna go crazy for this. Just exactly the same but with chicken breast butterflied, battered and covered in country gravy. Carlos and his daughter still work there everyday. Come to where the locals go for good old comfort food. Always good service, big portions and Carlos is probably gonna stop by to say hello!

Food is always big yummy portions, no complaints there and the restaurant is very outdated with old tables and chairs, could use a lil update. Waitress was very nice and accommodating. She took order right away. Only problem is we waited a very, very long time for food to make it to the table, a table came in after us and was served at least 20 minutes before us. Then the waitress just started completely ignoring us, and not even looking at us now ? She even told another table that came in after us that their food would be out shortly never acknowledged us. Not sure what happened in translation, we never even bothered her? It was Mother's Day and busy but after 12.

Came back here again, I feel as if I'm in a rut but other places just don't compare. This time I tried the enchilada omelette and it was amazing. My wife had the patty melt and it made me realize that I really have to try their burgers. We sat outside with our dog who is now well known there. At one of the other tables there was a homeless woman. Someone bought her a meal and she was treated with as much kindness and respect as any paying customer. I didn't think my opinion of this place could get any better but it has.

Definitely a great hearty portioned breakfast spot! The owner is always here making sure things run smoothly. Quick on coffee refills, and the food is cooked right in front of you. Gives you that homely vibe and you always leave with leftovers because the portions are hefty.

I just left there and the food was not even fair. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs over medium and it was pretty bad! The steak was not fried or even a batter base to it just a steak smothered in gravy. The eggs were cooked over easy not medium. The waitress never came and asked how the food was or if I needed more water, she only showed up with the check in hand and asked if I was done. The restaurant is out dated needs better tables and chairs.

Love the food here. Good old fashion breakfast food. Hard to find in the Bay Area. If you are looking for your bacon eggs and potatoes, this is for you! Also the Bacon is thick cut and amazing!

If you are looking for a dirty place to eat, this is your spot. The food is mediocre and the staff was just there. I haven't been here in at least 10 years, and now I remember why. The portions are huge so a star for that, the toast was good so another star for that. I asked about the orange juice and was told it was fresh squeezed... it definitely was not. $80 + tip for 3 people here was not worth it imo. I won't be back.

Corned Beef Hash w/ Rye Toash & Coffee, no nonsense and straightforward. Look at those eggs, just the way I like them.

With all of the options around it is sometimes hard to pick a place to go on a Saturday morning. Jeffrey's is a charming, family friendly establishment that is attached to a small inn off Highway 12. Other inside is pretty small, but they do have some outdoor tables. The interior has some lovely art on the walls as well as positive phrases making you feel like you're home. The service is also great here, and I feel like I've seen the same folks working here for many years. My wife and I ordered two different Hashes to share. The Brussel Sprouts and Bacon Hash is fantastic, which has this blue cheese aioli that gives the dish so much flavor. The Brussel sprouts seem like they're steamed and then tossed in the hash with sautéed diced onions, bell peppers and bacon. The aioli is on the side, but just adding a little bit to each bite gives it so much extra. We also ordered the special of the day which was a Smoked Chicken and Butternut Squash Hash. It has some of the same elements of sautéed onions and bell peppers, but this was served with a cilantro aioli. This dish, while not as amazing at the other Hash, was still really good. My daughter ordered the Buttermilk pancakes (added blueberries to them) with sausage and eggs. She certainly enjoyed them!

Food: Needs work. Ordered the Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were on point. Absolutely perfect. The champagne hollandaise was a fun twist but couldn't save the meal. The English muffin might have been hard track. It was paper thin and I had to saw through it. Ham had no flavor at all. I don't think it was ham. Maybe thin sliced and unseasoned pork but not ham. Worst part was the county potatoes. They came out slightly above room temperature and hard. They're parboiled then flash fried. Not a bad way to get crisp but I can only assume they do this ahead of the rush and then they sit in a container to be served. My wife ordered her's extra crispy and they come out much better. Coffee smelled and tasted like an ashtray. Overall, I wanted to like this place and the service itself is amazing, but the back of the house needs some work.

Everyone's food came out in a pretty timely manner and everyone cleared their plates. I tried the Americana coffee and the menu showed that the syrup was made in house. I really enjoyed it as it wasn't a super sweet taste. After all of the heaviness from the weekend I went with the simple potato and eggs breakfast. It also came with a piece of sourdough toast. Eggs over easy and home fries. I also added 2 chicken sausage patties. The sausage was great and not too salty and the eggs were perfect. The restaurant was packed, with a cute interior, although it was smaller than I expected and had extremely limited outdoor seating. We were able to order relatively quickly, but the service was slow overall. Our food took about 40 minutes to arrive, which seemed especially long for a fairly simple order. I ordered the huevos rancheros with both green and red salsa. The green salsa was okay, but I didn't care for the red, and the dish itself was bland and definitely needed some salt. My husband ordered a basic breakfast, which was fine but also needed more seasoning. The hash browns were probably the best part of the meal. Unfortunately, given all the hype, we expected more. While the atmosphere is cute, the long wait, slow service, and underwhelming food made the experience disappointing. I don't see us going back anytime soon.

We ordered multiple dishes on the menu and the worst was by far the bone marrow which we were very excited to try, should've known what to expect when they served it with ranch seasoned saltines, bone marrow is already so fatty and rich it doesn't need much for it to shine, adding andouille and onion jam was doing way too much. The saving grace of the night was the edamame appetizer (which was still a tad over cooked), sticky rice, which was not sticky by the way (jasmine rice) and the steak that was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Overall disappointed in their service, food, and above all else, drinks. If this is Sonoma's best, (displayed in the front) I wouldn't want to try their worst.

My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! My hope was that the place had returned to the portions and quality of when they first opened, which were proportionate to the cost. Unfortunately, it has declined even further since the octopus incident. We ordered the baby pancake and the burger. The portions were spectacularly small for the pricepoint, and everything tasted underwhelming. The baby pancake was more of an over done, miniscule crepe, and the medium rare burger we ordered was well done, dry, and tiny. There is a process of waiting outside and ordering, which is confusing, unwelcoming, and downright strange. There is a reason that no other restaurants do this. Please knock it off. The service was just ok, and no one came to check on us after our mediocre food was served. Fortunately, all this experience cost us was the tip, and time we could have spent eating something substantial and leaving feeling full. Meh. It's time to give up on this place and their overpriced, overhyped, substandard hipster fodder. Two stars because the herbed fries were nice.
