Chili Verde omelette with country potatoes

I'm very picky about where I eat but always ready to try a new restaurant, especially if it's recommended. Norm's Kitchen is a cozy little diner tucked away behind Exchange Bank in Larkfield and well worth your time and effort! I met a group of friends there for breakfast and I must say it was excellent! Service was fast and accurate and we never felt rushed. Food was very delicious and plentiful ( I had the chili verde omelette) and coffee - very satisfying! Go early because seats fill in fast and reserve if you have a large party. Enjoy Norm's Kitchen once and I guarantee you will come back again.

Hidden gem behind Molberry's Market in Larkfield.

A trip from Napa to Windsor found hubby and I at Norms Kitchen. It in a small strip mall behind Molberrys Market on the Old Redwood Hwy. Boy were we happy that our friend suggested this little gem to us. Entering we were greeted by a very sweet and happy young lady as she motioned to "Sit wherever you'd like". Ok! The menu is extensive, but it was 10:30 am and breakfast was our mission. Mary, our very nice server with the prettiest smile, took our order. I ordered the standard fare...2 Eggs OE, Hashbrowns, and a Country Sausage Patty with Toast and a side if Gravy. Hubby a Ham/Cheese Omlette with Hashbrowns as well. The place was crowded so it took a while for our food to arrive. Bring your patience with you cause I promise it's worth the wait!! When Mary set those plates in front of us I could hear angels singing! (SEE PHOTOS). The eggs were cooked perfectly and for a second I thought they had given me a steak? Lol! The sausage patty was huge! But the REAL hero was the Crispy, yummy Hashbrowns. OMG! I like Gravy on mine and Norms did not disappoint one bit. My husband meal was delicious too. Norms was truly a place I'd travel an hour to experience and we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

We were seated outdoors - the place closes at 1:30 and we got there around 12:50 - indoor tables full. The patio is shaded and comfortable. Service was prompt and courteous. The food arrived quickly. I had Joe's Special - a more unique scramble of eggs, ground beef, spinach and mushrooms with Asiago cheese and hash browns. The flavors were very well combined and everything tasted good. My son had the French Toast which came with 2 eggs and sausage as well: that's good was very good, but I continue to be disappointed in brunch spots that do not serve pure maple syrup - instead using your usual knock off breakfast syrup. It is a game changer for me and the food as a result suffers. No bubbles here with your breakfast, to be noted, if you like that with your brunch... but that is ok. All in all, good food, quick service, usual pricing (we paid $40 or so for our meals).

My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe. The ambiance was casual yet intimate, and despite being busy, didn't feel crowded or loud. We also appreciated that the wait staff didn't rush us out!

Should have taken a pic. Our waitress was cheerful and helpful and she didn't bother us even though we were the last customers in the house (my back was turned so I didn't even realize). Food was so tasty. Had a (large) omelet with cheddar cheese, sausage (the Cajun) and added spinach. Side of fruit was fresh. Biscuit (I had to take a picture!) was ginormous and delicious. So much I was able to share with my friend. With honey drizzled on top - yum. I did have to ask for the honey, they were happy to accommodate. To top it off, I found a spot right out front. This is a place that has perfected serving up tried and true favorites and don't mess with stuff that isn't broken. My bf ordered pancakes, bacon and eggs. I had my piece-meal "vegan special": side of (dry) toast, side of avocado, side of hashbrowns, and a fruit cup. The service was super friendly and FAST; the diner was bustling, noisy and smelled of all things breakfast. You can tell looking around that people "know" this spot and have been coming here forever. A great place for breakfast with a quick turn-around time. There are no vegan-specific items on the menu but something can be cobbled together without the server seeming judgey about it.
