My husband and I walked in on a quiet Friday late morning, and were seated right away. The service was good, we enjoyed our time and experience. This diner is very laid back, slower paced, so I'd only reccomend it if you're not in a rush. The table syrup was a little questionable, really not sure if it was maple or the low quality cheaper options, nonetheless we were prepared and brought our own. The food was delicious, and not fussy, straight to the point. The cornbeef hash was crispy and tasty, and the pancakes we're big and fluffy. Well I arrived at 6:56am and they open at 7:00am. Upon opening, as I entered, I was greeted by Ross. Young gentleman, polite and approachable. He is 100% geared towards properly serving customers. I've been here numerous times over the years with the family. Today I ordered the Carlos combo, 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 bacon and a Half order of Biscuits & Gravy. Great portion, the food arrived hot and was delicious. They have plenty of seats and a counter service with family neighborhood diner feel. Another great family breakfast..... we started out with fried zucchini. ( I know WHAT) I just live their fried zucchini and have to have some every time we go. Mom had the Popeye omelet. She opted for sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes today because she wanted one of their famous huge homemade biscuits. My boys had French toast and a waffle combo with eggs and bacon. I also had a waffle combo but with ham. Always great service and fantastic food. Huge portions at a great price. I had to add a picture of my coffee mug. So cute. read more

I have had a door delivered menu from Carlo's on my desk for several years. I am from NJ, land of the diner. So, I finally made my wY to this spot. One word - DELICIOUS! Beat diner food I have had in Florida. I enjoyed a fried chicken club with fries. Simple and expertly prepared, served piping hot. Great friendly service. It's real close to home in a neighborhood I've never been before. I'll be back regularly. I had another go-to diner which shall remain nameless as I have nothing but praise for them. Drove by here on a whim and decided to give it a whirl. Glad we stopped by. The food was good. The service was impeccable. The vibe was very calm and had a lot of locals that you could tell easily that they come in alllll the time. I ordered the wagon wheel which was good and my guest got Carlo's special. The prices were super reasonable and all the food came out hot as soon as it was ready. I like that the kitchen is in view of the seating area so you can see the magic happen. We wanted to find a local spot to have Christmas Eve breakfast and chose to try Carlo's. It was a great choice! It looks very unassuming from the outside, but don't let that turn you away. Once you walk in, the atmosphere is bright and clean. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I chose to try the Wagon Wheel breakfast which has a fried beef fritter (like country fried steak), with sausage gravy, eggs, and hashbrowns. I also ordered a side of corned beef hash for my boyfriend and I to share. Our meals came out quickly. All of the food was quite good. The corned beef hash was perfect, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The beef fritter was delicious and the gravy was one of my favorites! The eggs and hashbrowns were a little bland, but nothing salt and pepper didn't fix. It helped that they were cooked well and not greasy like many diners. I am not a big breakfast food fan and it takes a lot for me to like a breakfast out, but this was a good one! I will definitely return. read more

We were pumping gas across the street and spotted this place. The next day, we came in for breakfast and it did not disappoint!! I had my usual waffle with powdered sugar and my husband had the short stack with sausage and bacon. I tried some of his sausage and it was amazing! So, I had to order some for myself. Known this diner to have good food from the local recommendations so I decided to try. Menu was limited which to me means what they have listed is probably their best dishes. Closes at 2. I ordered the liver & onions with mashed potatoes. Was the worst I ever had and I have had a lot! The liver was like jerky and not seasoned during cooking and the mashed potatoes were out of a box and can tell used water to make it was so bland no salt or butter used. Really not edible! The one thing was decent was the brown gravy. I see that people were eating hamburgers and those looked good. For a small hole in the wall was hoping for something spectacular but was a fail! Will try the hamburger next time and give this place another shot. If it is better I will change my review. read more

I have ordered breakfast several times via Uber Eats and have not had any issues with the food. Everything was fresh and they provided a good portion for the money. We ordered a take out breakfast from them for a social distancing supported gathering so about 5 meals total. Ranging from steak and eggs to corned beef hash. The wait was supposed to be 30 min so we allotted that time and upon arrival there was a decent line and the grill was smelling good while we waited to pay but food was sitting on the counter getting cold. Being it was breakfast we were excited to try them and hungry as ever from the yelp reviews we read before ordering if we knew it was ready in less than 30 min we could have come sooner. I was excited to support this local business versus a dennys, ihop or waffle house but this seemed to have been an off day for them. When we got the food to the meeting spot (park) people were opening their containers to find the corned beef hash and bacon was slightly burnt. The grilled biscuit Id heard people raving about had a weird taste like cleaning solution. Maybe grill was cleaned after something was scorched (probably the hash and bacon) but wasn't wiped off or scraped properly? All instructions were followed for the orders but I as my friends were just disappointed in the preparation. My recommendation turned out to be a not so great experience for our little gathering. I might try them again to dine in when outside reopens fully but the food they sent out this time was disappointing. I wish we would have double checked our orders before leaving the store. Word to the wise for next time. The lady at the register was very sweet and made sure we had all the supplies we needed. read more

This was the best little gem of a diner. My spouse and I had a terrific lunch. Tricia was our server, she was helpful, sweet & kind, efficient and attentive. We were greeted as we entered by another server, all the staff there were friendly. The prices are very reasonable, too. We had a Grilled Ham & Swiss on rye with mustard and a chicken club. The Ham and Swiss was delicious, but the fried chicken club was even better...it was the best, freshest chicken, lettuce/tomato with fries. Really yummy! Everything was served to us quite fast and good n' hot! This is an easy restaurant to highly recommend and rate 5 stars. We can't wait to go back. Okay, a few days later and we stopped by again. I am devastated. This used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots in town. Their omlettes were out of this world, and their coffee was worth going out of the way for. But sadly, few months ago they switched ownership. There were small changes initially, but as time has continued (and the ingredients purchased by the precious owners ran out), the quality of the food has decreased significantly. The coffee is still good, and the wait staff is still awesome. If you're going to go, go for them, not for the food. read more
