I was greeted upon walking in by a young man who offered a table by the door or I could wait a few minutes and he would clean a booth. Which he did. I appreciated the fact that he wiped the seat cushion and informed me the side was wet so I wouldn't plop myself there. I was torn between the hungry man although I wasn't that hungry I liked it gave you a little of everything and an omelette. Antoinette who waited on me said the hungry man is great and I can mix my meats to how I like. I had the choice of turkey or beef bacon so I opted for turkey and added blueberries to my pancakes. Not before long someone else served my order brought me what i needed. Antoinette checked in on me a few times and refilled my coffee whenever low. Hungry man was $11.75 and coffee was $2.49. Pretty doggone reasonable especially given the price of eggs! The restaurant was clean with plenty of seating and is quaint. Cozy diner in the Publix shopping center. Don't let the name fool you, they have just as many lunch/dinner options as they do breakfast! I did enjoy breakfast however, and had a skillet with ham, tomato and mushrooms. It came with toast, which I picked rye for a small upcharge. This was literally the worst order that I've ever had in my life. from the grits that were burnt in flavorless, to the eggs that were undercooked with eggshells in them, or the oatmeal that tasted burnt and salty to the soggy biscuit and the fact that they did not include the sausage in my order. My fiancé and I absolutely love The Breakfast Club. The food is always good and the staff is always friendly. Some of our favorites include: - Eggs Benedict - Omelets - Breakfast Sandwich - The main combo (I forget the name) Their breakfast meats are good and the coffee is always dependable. I've also had their chicken salad at lunch and I was not prepared for how big that salad would be. It was only $8.50 and easily 2 meals if you aren't starving. read more

This place is great for breakfast, lunch and now they feature dinner. The Menu for breakfast and lunch is ample and well priced.?.but then so is dinner. I had a delicious Chicken Pecan salad with a mustard dressing that was just the right size. Other menu items come with generous portions like the country fried steak or the Fish specials. There are plenty of different choices. I like to go for dinner as it's not as busy and can relax and take my time..and there are many choices. NEVER AGAIN!!! This was like a truck stop diner in the Midwest twenty years ago with cooks with no abilities, and you had no other choice so you sucked it up and dealt with it. There were seven of us there on a Friday mid morning and we were there just shy of two hours, not by choice. It took about 25 minutes after we seated ourselves before one of the two servers started to take our drink orders. At a minimum 10 minutes passed before we started to see our drinks. After placing the orders it took 35 minutes to get the food. And after being done and clearly waiting for our check it took another 10 minutes to get the bill back once we gave our cc. Now for the food. No lie, my 11 year old cooks better. The breakfast home fries were seasoned French fries, no joke. The fruit in the fruit crepe was apples, grapes, bananas, and pineapple chunks (think the fruit cup mix). The yogurt in it was the cheapest berry yogurt I've tasted and the crepes were thick, cold and felt as if they were made days prior. The hash browns were barely warmed, no signs of being grilled. And the oatmeal looked like what you might see at a really cheap hotel continental breakfast. The eggs in the breakfast burrito might have been the only decent thing. I do not know how so many people like this place. I am not stuck up and sheltered; ive eaten all over the world from 5 star restaurants to street vendors and some of the best food was from street vendors. If you have never eaten at any other restaurant in your life you could still tell the cooks were no better than pre-teens learning how to cook, or just lazy. I think people are equating reasonable prices with quality and those are two wildly different metrics. read more

I want to love this place but there are a few areas that need improvement. My son loves their chicken crepes and it is his first choice for breakfast when we are in the area. Today's crepe did not disappoint and my other son enjoyed his Mickey pancakes. My scrambled eggs with cheese and my home fries with seasoning were good. My toast had the strangest dark yellow butter on it. It tasted bad to me and my son. I asked the server what it was, she said butter but I kind of doubt it. When I asked for it, she did bring me another round of dry toast. My mom's coffee was refilled many times by all of the servers but the rest of us, with water and soda, went without refills. The thing that is most difficult for me about the Breakfast Club is the pace of breakfast. We waited a while after our drink order to place our food order and then waited a long time for our food to arrive. They were busy but not slammed and the wait seems to always be an issue. With little kids, this makes dining difficult. Menus with coloring activities would help but aren't available. I know that the wait is usually an issue so my regular routine is to take my kids for a walk along the plaza after we order. The owner is really nice and friendly and the crepes are a family favorite. So we will be back and I'll be hoping for less wait. read more

I decided to give this place a chance after turning down the subway that was next to it. I was excited to come to this restaurant, but then he turned a tragedy extremely fast. So I came in after a long day at work and decided to try the Ruben and some fries. Even though in one of the pictures they have crinkle cut fries the only ones that they really do have a regular cut fries. I ordered the Ruben anyway and some apple juice and I came pretty promptly. After eating the first half of the Ruben I realize I couldn't take to the other half and that's extremely unusual of me. I fought thru The other half after staring at it for almost 20 minutes. I left feeling my stomach rumble and when I arrived home I had to find a bathroom ASAP. I'm starting to think the Ruben was not prepared properly or was kept out too long. I was skeptical about previous reviews that talked about the large portions but they were absolutely correct. They offer an early bird breakfast special with 3 eggs, toast, grits or potatoes for $1.99 before 9 am or $2.99 after 9. I ordered eggs over easy, toast, spicy home fries, and added country fried steak with sausage gravy. A perfect egg is actually difficult to cook and my eggs were absolutely perfect. The home fries had great flavor and texture. By the way, there was at least two entire potatoes diced for my order. The country fried steak had good flavor but I am guessing they are not made from scratch on site because the batter didn't really stick to the meat. The toast was done properly and I say this because plenty of diners fall short on this simple task. I took a look at the lunch and dinner menus too. They offer traditional diner favorites at reasonable prices so a return visit is already planned. read more

Now the bad: The wait time for the food was horrible, slow as slow can be; yes they were busy, but just seemed disorganized. I took my daughter here for breakfast before school. The place has this old country kitchen type vibe, the Winter Garden location had the same kind of decor, I guess that's the look they were going for. Our server was very friendly and attentive and knew patrons by their names which was nice. I got the 2 pancake meal with 2 eggs and a side of bacon and some toast. . This was our first visit and we will definitely return. My spouse had an open-faced roast beef platter and said the potatoes were fresh and the whole plate was delicious. The only glitch we encountered was, the liver and onions weren't available nor were the side of green beans...? I had the cheeseburger with bacon and it was cooked exactly how I requested. It was very good hot and a hearty size. The service was polite, friendly and always visible. I would have given 5 stars if we had not waited more than 35 minutes until our food came out. You get a lot for what you pay for!! I get the kids 3 silver dollar pancakes with eggs and bacon and I always add toast and for about $7 it's A LOT of food!!!! The only thing I noticed is they don't really season any of the food? They give you salt, pepper, and the other stuff you would need though. I guess maybe because a lot of older people come here so they try to cater to them and be mindful of what they use on their food! This was an awesome breakfast spot for a random breakfast date. It was the beginning of my birthday celebration and we stopped in before we hit the road to the beach. I'd actually never seen it but we decided to give it a try. As soon as we walked in we were astonished at how big the diner was. It's so spacious and clean. I'm used to cramped Waffle House or dusty Denny's. Either way, it was noticeably spacious. We were greeted and seated immediately. Offered coffee and menus as soon as we got comfy. I was like man these people are nice. Looking at the menu was a little overwhelming for me. I never know if I want breakfast at breakfast especially when I have the choice of a lunch or dinner entree at 8am. Also, take a peek at the lunch specials on the wAll. It took me a while to choose until finally.......pecan Waffle!!!!! The pecan Waffle was crispy and sweet and the server added some whipped topping. I had to have one, but my lunchly cravings needed to be satisfied with French fries too, so yeah that's what I ordered. Food came out fresh and with every condiment requested. Our server was so sweet her name was Janet. She was hilarious. The owner came by to give us well wishes. This was the friendliest diner I've been too in a long time. read more

Janet is a good waitress & was there when needed asking if we needed anything or with refills. The owner stops by to make sure all is well.
