It's never fun buying a new roof. Lots of money and lots of risk if it goes wrong. I went through a number of quotes from high end contractors to glorified handymen and I'm extremely pleased with my decision to go with Carlos and his team. Fully licensed and insured solidified my choice with very fair pricing. He had opinions on the material based on what we needed (better insulation for the house) and we even added insulation to the attic. With any job there are always unknowns and sure enough we had rotted wood up there along with a number of fixes to different vents and exhausts for the house which he made extremely easy for me to decide and remedy. It's not easy to find great work at a great value, and when you do it's a no brainer to recommend this to others. Galan roofing did a quality job for a very competitive price. When inspection delays slowed install, they worked through the weekend to ensure the job was done as soon as possible. Also, when some construction debris was noted on our property after job completion, they returned promptly and removed it. Carlos is great. When I called him for a roof inspection appointment, he told me that he was fully booked for a while. He told me if I couldn't find another roofer in 2 two weeks, i could call him again. He made me feel like he was helpful even he was too busy to take my business. As he learned that my house is in the same location of his current job and I asked him to stop by to inspect my roof. He did even he had a long day to wrap up a job that he had been working on. He came by around 6pm. He got on the roof to inspect measure the roof. After his inspection, he told us that our roof is good for a few years. I greatly appreciated his help and his professional manner to his business and his potential client. He squeezed his time to do the inspection, gave a good inspection and provided a honest assessment instead of trying to make more money. If you like to do/give business with a honest and professional roofer, Carlos is your choice. I will definitly call him back when my roof is ready to be replaced. They replaced it with a beautiful composite roof with new gutters. They did it very efficiently. They were also one of the lowest bids we got. Carlos helped us with a difficult tile roofing problem that some others did not want to tackle. He did a great professional job. He works on the roofs himself mostly with a trusted long time employee. This is important as the owner, Carlos, is involved with the repair or a new roof if that is what you need. Many other roofing contractors use crews and the quality can be variable depending on the experience of the crew and the attention to detail of the crew chief. His estimates seem reasonable. Heard about Carlos Roofing through word of mouth. He has now done two jobs for us. First one was at our old house. He identified the issue and was able to start the work in no time. Not only did he fix the leak but also extended the roof for a personage solution. His solution ultimately made the structure of the house better. After calling a few roofers and being told either; "We don't service the Sacramento area" or "We are not scheduling any jobs this year. We have more than enough work.", a realtor friend recommended Carlos Galan Roofing. From the day Carlos showed up to give a quote, I had a good feeling about this company. They did not disappoint. For starters, I was very impressed that when he came out to give a quote, Carlos actually got on the roof and spent a considerable amount of time investigating the main roof, as well as the roof over the porch and a room that was added on a few years ago. He then offered various options for keeping or getting rid of obsolete items such as a chimney and TV antennae and offered other services such as replacing the insulation in the attic. After we spoke and I decided exactly what I wanted, Carlos gave me a quote that I found acceptable. As he already had a few promised jobs ahead of me, Carlos kept me informed of their progress and when they started to wind down... contacted me to schedule work dates. The crew worked professionally and responsibly. My roof was in pretty bad shape and the house is an old Victorian built in 1895, so working carefully around old, decorative wood was vital. Carlos actually came out a few days after the work was completed to put finishing touches on the back room roof himself.
