I had a third repair in about 20 years on one my Dodge trucks. This one was a tough repair because it was an older ranch truck that needed door work purely for safety reasons (the sheet metal securing the latch had cracked after 22 years and the door would open unpredictably). They were very flexible and understanding that I wanted a good (strong) repair but did not want to spend a ton of money. They let me supply the door from pick and pull in Windsor and they made a silk purse out of a sows ear! Nice people, good work at a reasonable price. Who Does That? Recently the hood of the new truck was scratched / dinged by something on the freeway. It's wasn't the biggest ding in the world, only about 1/8th of an inch long on the drivers side of the engine hood however, it might as well have been the size of the grand canyon as, I saw it each time I got into the truck. So, I tossed around the idea of having it fixed or not, and finally decided to get it fixed as the truck only has 1,600 miles on it. So I went to the shop that had done work on my old truck years ago, to get a CASH ESTIMATE as I figured it wasn't worth going through the insurance for such a small nick. At the body shop they agreed that it might as well be the grand canyon from the location, as you saw it each time you got into the truck. So we formulated a plan, I was to pay for the touch up paint from the dealer for 30 bucks, and they would fix it for free for me. So the paint came in about 10 days later and I took the truck up to the shop to get it touched up while I waited. Well about 90 minutes passed while they worked on it in the shop, in the meantime the shop owner (Pat) arrived and went out to inspect the job, he then had me go out into the shop with him to show what had been done, the clear coat on the area was slightly fogged so, the owner Pat said to me, we're gonna repaint the ENTIRE HOOD FOR YOU FOR FREE. Who does that? I offered to pay them something for the job but they refused to take a dime from me, they told me it wasn't my fault and to not worry about it. So, the truck went into the spray booth and the next day I picked up the truck with the entire hood freshly painted. I can't let this go, this level of customer services goes WAY BEYOND just doing business and I fee this shop deserves some recognition for going WAY WAY BEYOND!!! I have been working professionally in the automotive industry for over 24 years. I was raised to do things the right way and with honesty and integrity. Pat and his crew at Santa Rosa Autobody do just that. I spoke to Pat about one of the three classic cars I own, my 1967 Cadillac Coupe Deville convertible, a tribute build to a dear friend that I lost. Needless to say this car is important to me. The first body shop had this car for over two years; they took my money and told me the car would be done within that timeframe, it wasn't. I was recommended to these guys by a friend, and seeing their 5-star Yelp rating, I knew I had to at least check them out. I had a basketball size dent on the rear passenger side corner of my bumper from a parking lot hit-and-run. These guys gave me two options: replace the whole bumper for ~$900 or just pop it out for $30 which sounded super reasonable though it may not look as clean (obvi). It took me a year to finally get around to it, and they (Patrick) still honored the original quote of $30. They told me to come in when it wasn't busy, and popped it out in 20 min. It looks amazing! Almost like new except some small cracks that developed cause I let it go too long before fixing it. So glad I came in and finally got it repaired. I was in a minor auto accident and the front hood of my car got pushed out of alignment. I first went to a another auto body shop and they estimated $1,971 to replace the entire hood! Yikes! Ok so here is my not so fun story . I got into a 4 car accident ( i wasn't at fault) and the whole right side of my car was just dented and ugly!!! I was sent by my mercury insurance to G & C in santa rosa and got the worst sense of security from them , they were all smiles and what not but i didn't feel they were very honest and felt more like a sales pitch , has anyone experienced this ? I looked for a few other places and found this place online with some great reviews so i decided to give it a try . " I'm so glad i walked out of the other place and came here" I met with patrick And he was a straight up , honest man. My biggest concern was the bottom of the car and tire and the first this that comes out of his mouth was. " ok im going to be honest, one door can get fixed the other one replaced but the biggest concern is the bottom of the car and tire " without further looking i decided to work with him . Without even telling him what my concern was he took the words out of my moth . The last place i went was only looking at the outside and the " oh so many little details" and when i asked about the rest all i got was silence ... Took my 2002 Lincoln LS in for some repair work. Previously, the paint on the leading edge of the roof at the top of the windshield had been nicked during windshield replacement, which caused the sheet metal to rust over time. Brought it in for a look and estimate and was very impressed by the thoughtfulness and thoroughness of everyone who looked at it. This is/was a time intensive, laborious repair to make, which required cutting out old rusty sheet metal, fabricating a new piece, welding it in and finishing it before paint. The end result is OUTSTANDING -- of course, the repair is invisible, paint (car is silver, which can be hard to match) is excellent, and the car just seems sharper looking, somehow. I'd also like to say that everyone was very helpful and professional during the entire process. Thank you so much for such a great experience! read more

Trustworthy and understanding. On a sentimental note, SR auto Body allowed me into their lot to bid farewell to my totaled car. On a practical note, they were very professional when they replaced the front bumper cover on my other car. I had been hit by an insured driver, whose insurance company sent me a check, made out to me. When my car was finished, they let me drive home and deliver the check the next day.
