Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. I'm shopping for one. **I tried to scan & copy the actual Invoice from this incident, but for some technological mystery beyond me - I couldn't get this file search in Yelp to access where I am sure I put the two files.**

Well, I was right in the middle of a job needing it for a long haul when it began acting up really bad. It would chug at stop lights and it was behaving like it wasn't getting fuel... and it finally even died on me. Well, thank god I was able to get it to a local mechanic and when calling all my friends on who they would use, many of them cited the same place and it was Scott Repmans off Bell. Especially because I've got a diesel and I know they require a special touch. Well, not only was I expecting the bill to be much higher but I honestly wasn't expecting to get it back until Thursday or even Friday. Turns out it was a sensor for the accelerator and they had it ready for pickup on Monday by 3pm! It drives BETTER than even before the problems began and I now know where to take it for my tune-up and maintenance like oil changes. Super thrilled with this place and will recommend them along with my buddies now.

The company was sending their customer home paying for the Uber ride since the car was staying overnight. The parking lot was full and my passenger was happy with their service. I needed to replace my Wife's car AC cabin fan and radiator fan. I bought the parts at the dealer expecting to do the repair myself. After watching YouTube videos I decided someone with actual skill and experience needed to do the job. I made an appointment through Yelp. The repair took about three hours. I was happy when they called with the request to proceed after testing that they did not try to up sell me on other repairs, just I was right that the fan motors were bad. When I picked up the repaired car, they did have a list of issues and discussed the importance of repairing each. Most were just fine right now but watch for issues in the future. They did say there was a split hose from the engine air filter to the engine which needed replacing sooner than later. Since I do the routine maintenance on my cars at home they suggested buying a new hose and installing it myself. They were happy to do it but said that part was easy to replace. I also appreciate they returned the replaced parts without me asking. First repair and I'm impressed. I posted on an Uber driver facebook group about the company. One driver replied they don't go Cha-Ching when a female walks in. Everything about my first repair was transparent and fully discussed before the repair and when I picked up.

The full review is in the pictures since I had too much to say and warn potential customers about…read more Jake claimed to take it to multiple suspension experts so they can all brainstorm together what should be done to fix the horrible wandering issue with my truck. He only requested that I pay for one of the technicians work to adjust my rear axle slightly (about $500) and that this was all for that other shop and nothing was being charged for himself. When I got my truck back that adjustment didn't do a thing to fix the issue. Then we both took the truck to another alignment shop and the technician there said he was positive the ball joints the previous mechanic installed were faulty or installed wrong. That alignment specialist specifically was adamant about the ball joints requiring to be replaced with stock ball joints and not aftermarket upgrades like they had done. I wanted to follow that specialist's recommendation but Jake said not to trust that specialist because he was, I quote, "a parts changer" and was just going to waste my money like the other mechanics and he said he wanted to do the job himself and not use that specialist to change the ball joints. When I kept hesitating to allow Jake to use aftermarket Ball joints he specifically told me that if those Dynatrack ball joints did not fix the issue, he would pay the the parts out of his pocket and replace them with OEM ball joints. So I went ahead and trusted him. The parts were replaced and he kept the truck for a week to drive around and wear the parts in because the wandering still wasn't going away. After that week he handed the truck back to me and the wandering was worse than ever. He also claimed that he wasn't charging me for the labor time he spent driving my truck to wear the parts in but that he would appreciate it if I would pay him $500 for the fuel he spent on it. This was prior to the diesel fuel spike so I figured it was still partially for his time because I myself can't spend $500 in a week in fuel towing with that truck daily. However not only was my truck still wandering very badly when he gave me the back but when I was hitching my trailer up to it a day or two later I realized that the brand new Banks tail assembly pipe that I had just installed on it a month ago was missing. When I called to ask about the pipe figuring they must have just somehow forgotten to put it back on he told me he would ask the other special technicians for it because they themselves never touched it or had it. Well he claimed that non of the other technicians from other shops would fess up to it so he would pay it out of his pocket and just forget about the $500 fuel charge he was charging me for. That brand new pipe cost me $550. At this point I had lost all trust. Now I started doing research on line on my own asking for help on social media on pages with people with the same trucks. I posted a video of the new track bar still flexing and they basically laughed at me accusing me of doing the improper work myself because the track bar was flexing due to it being installed UPSIDE DOWN. When I asked how I should fix it and that I paid someone to do it they gave me insertion how to fix it myself and told me to immediately fire that mechanic. Unfortunately it still didn't fix the wandering issue so I tried another local mechanic in town to try and hopefully fix the issue. That last mechanic basically shook his head and told me, and I quote "I feel sorry for you". I gave him the receipts of the work Jake had done and he told me I was basically being milked. This new mechanic took me into his shop while my truck was on the lift and showed me exactly what those new ball joints were doing to my wheels by trying to force the tires manually. He not only switched the ball joints for me fixing the wandering issue but he did it in half the time the Jake charged me for. Now if I was being purposely charged extra to be swindled or I was charged extra hours due to lack of experience, I will leave it up to the reader or the next unfortunate customer this happens to. Either way you look at it it still comes down to unethical practice since my work towing rig could inevitably cause harm to anyone in the vehicle as well as anyone around me on the road with the amount of horrible wandering and improperly installed parts it had. I have waited many weeks now for a response and for the promised reimbursement for improper installation and have not heard a word or response to my text message or voice message I left with his other shop technicians since now when I call he never happens to be available to talk. So at this point I don't expect any reimbursement for my loss. My only hope is that no one else receives the experience I have had and looses thousands in wasted money.

I have a job where I literally drive all over the Valley everyday and couldn't allow this to go on any longer. I have friends who recommends a couple other places but neither worked out. I decided to try Brake Masters after reading quite a few reviews about them not taking advantage of people. Well, I made the appt and within 2 hrs (From start of appt to brake pads changed) I was out the door and spent significantly less then I anticipated! I'm incredibly happy with their service and both the front desk employee and the mechanic were professional and never did I feel taken advantage of or any attempt by either to upsell. The man working at the front (I can't believe i didn't get his name!) said that he was retired but works 1-2 days per week at this location after working there from when they opened in the 90's. There was an older lady who came in due to car troubles and he treated her so kindly. She seemed overwhelmed and frazzled and he was so warm. I overheard that her husband was his customer for over 20 years and just passed away last month. I heard him speaking on the phone with customers and he was just kind. Anyways, I sent my friend the work order receipt and he was surprised at how affordable this was. He understands cars and was the one who was sure that it was worn out brake pads. I'm very happy and recommend this location!

They were very knowledgeable and explained everything they saw. I liked that. They didn't mind my questions. They were very personable - made time to accept my daughter's handmade drawings, giving her paper and high fives. The bathroom was clean and smelled nice! It matters to some of us. There was also a waiting area with a water machine. Other than the length of time it took for an inspection I didn't ask for, I have absolutely zero complaints. Thankfully I had the time to wait unexpectedly, but it would have been great if it was done under an hour, as expected. I will 100% be back to Greulich's at this location. While looking underneath my car, I noticed oil leaking around the oil filter right after this oil change. I wiped it off, checked it again the next day, and it's still leaking. So not only did they charge me 100% more for the exact same oil change, they also managed to do the job poorly enough to cause an oil leak. Paying double for worse service is insane. Original review left on 05/19/26: I've used this place for a few things and regularly for oil changes. When I went in yesterday, the exact same oil change I've always gotten was 100% more for the exact same service. I understand prices go up, but doubling the cost is absurd. That's not a price increase, that's price gouging. You've lost my business, and I'll make sure my friends and family take theirs elsewhere too.
