This location in the shopping center by HEB near Palmer is basically exactly like the last one I went to at Round Rock Premium Outlets with a small flow of traffic and not super busy drive thru. The Double Double is a double meat patties with cheese sandwich and then I had grilled onions added. This is how I like it. I was a multiple time a week regular of In-N-Out back in the 90s all over Southern California...then hadn't eaten it in over 20 years till the first one opened in Austin (and I was there day 1). With that said, today my burger was really great and I don't know if it's cause visiting here now often that I'm getting used to it again or what but I'm liking them again. First, in a California native and some may say I am biased because I've loved In-N-Out since the first time I tried it many, many, many years ago. All locations will have the same menu (look up the secret menu too). Prices are reasonable for today's burger climate. This location in particular has good, fast and friendly service. All locations have old school diner decorations which I like, and also serve Coke products. Try a shake though, they are tasty. If you come with more than a family of 4 you won't be able to walk sit together, but there is ample seating. If it's your first time visiting, cherish it. If you're a repeat visitor this In-N-Out location is consistent and delicious. read more

California themed burger place! Love the palm trees imagery everywhere, on the inside decor and real ones outside. I like the basic menu, short and sweet that's not too complicated. I got the #2 combo, which comes with a cheeseburger, french fries, and medium drink. The cheeseburger had a fresh beef patty, cheese, tomato, and lettuce on buttered buns. It's a yummy juicy burger stacked tall! The fries are seasoned well and crispy from the potato skins. The ketchup pumps are at the island in the middle of the store. You can get your own self serve fountain drinks to the left of the counter. They even have pink lemonade, which was perfectly sweet, tangy, and refreshing! Fast and friendly service. Very efficient. Whenever I have an opportunity to get a real meat burger, I plan on going to In-N-Out Burger. They have excellent service and very friendly at the window. This last visit I asked for an extra meat patty for my pup. They even have a name for it; "Pup patty". It's worth getting even for the size of it. It's pure fun for your dog when they're along for the ride. Yeah it's small and yes, it's worth it. The drive-through goes pretty fast. Granted, I am from Chicago so In-N-Out is a bit of a novelty for me, but I generally like the place! Their menu is super simple with just three burgers (or cheeseburgers). You pretty much are going to want to get a burger and nothing else. The burgers are actually pretty decent, especially for their price. This might be the best part of this place. You can get a pretty sizable meal for under $10 which is starting to become difficult in this fast food world. If it had any downside, it was the bun was too toasted (crunchy) and the diet pink lemonade is pretty weird. Other than that, it was a great meal for under $10. I will also give credit to the staff at this Austin location because they were all friendly and the place was pretty spotless. A clean fast food place with lower than average prices? TLDR: Good fast-food hamburger, worth a visit. I like INO, though this isn't their best location. The food's fine, with tasty burgers and the ability to customize. The main reason I can't give InO five stars is that their fries remain strangely foam-like in texture, and often the toppings overwhelm the burger itself. That said, the double burger with one slice of cheese, animal style, is my favorite. I recommend you try the 'Animal' Style, where they put a dollop of mustard on the grill and cook the beef patty in it. Delish! This particular location is friendly enough, but yeah they are a bit slow. Noticeably longer wait times here than at other locations. Parking can also be congested here. FOOD SAFETY VIOLATIONS!! I watched one of the cooks who looks to be the only one working on the grill, pick up raw beef patties, put the bloody sheets in the garbage and then open the produce fridge and start touching the lettuce and tomatoes and putting them on the line. He never washed his hands or changed gloves during this time. It's dangerous people can get food poisoning from this kind of cross contamination. I brought it up to the manager who didn't do anything about it besides telling his employee to wash his hands. Didn't change out lettuce and tomatoes. I told the manager to throw out the whole lettuce but never saw him do it. I asked for the refund of my meal and left. As someone who's worked in the food industry and attended culinary school these are the first things everyone knows in the industry. But wow... this location was something else... from amazing customer service, to crazily delicious burgers and fries. Listen, I will admit... I'm not too fond of their fries but this time? Well, the food here is the same as all the other, in and out, though they have no problem making adjustments as an adding or taking away certain items like lettuce, and adding extra sauce, yeah I'm more than happy to do it. I want to love In n Out because everyone does. My bff came from out of town just so she can have their double double :) I am only giving 3 stars only because of the taste. To me its lacking. The fries are so blah to me, the animal style nasty, the burgers meh, bland. Sweet tea is ok. Service excellent. Clean place. Nice well kept place. Prompt service and courteous workers. Just friendly sweet folks. Great prices. Great business model. Fresh ingredients. Everything is just done right but for me, I have had way better burgers especially fries :) But keep it up because i know so many who just love this place and go miles for it. My favorite! I'm from California and this burger joint is my favorite fast food place. Will write more later but I can't get enough! I'm back for my update to write some more. I have visited a few times since my first visit and very consistent quality. They make the fries better than California locations. I was born and raised there and happy to say this is one of my favorite locations. Service seems to be a little slower to California, but I haven't been when it's crazy busy. I came in at midnight to get some food. I ordered a cheeseburger fries and a chocolate shake. The burger meat is so thin that single slice of the tomato was thicker than the beef. I will give them positive feedback on the packaging that they provide. My French fries were cold and limp., But the shake was OK. In all, it was a very lackluster meal.
