I have been seeing those non-stop ads for the sourdough star burger all over the place and I fell for it...I was craving one of these bad boys for a week before I could get to my local Carl's. I literally could not wait. We got there and I was pretty excited. It was a little unsettling to see that there was only 2 people working drive-thru and lobby service (they deserve massive credit for working that hard), but we were treated quickly by the assistant manager to order. I ordered the long awaited single sourdough star burger combo and my husband got the hand-breaded chicken sandwich. Our food definitely took longer to get out than the usual, most likely due to the lack of employees working. That said, our food was served with a smile and appeared delicious. Unfortunately, the fries were soggy, underwhelming and slightly undercooked. The ingredients on the sandwiches were fresh and crisp, which was a nice surprise. However, the sourdough bread on both sandwiches were not toasted enough, so it felt oddly too soft. The single hamburger patty actually disappeared under all the toppings and the cheese was barely melted. Bacon was spongy instead of crispy. Hubby was equally underwhelmed with his sandwich and fries for the same reasons. Had to give an extra star for how bad I felt for the two employees...they tried. read more

I ordered online with a pick up time of 1215pm. I arrived at 1216pm at the drive thru and there was only one vehicle ahead of me. I waited in line for 10 minutes. When I finally got to the window I was given my order. I checked the food and it was lukewarm at best. I told the drive thru attendant that the food was cold and he told me he was sorry and that he was doing the best he could and he can't control when the food comes out. I told him I have been waiting for 10 minutes for my order and that he has control of his drive thru line and he said that he does not. I told him that I didn't pay for cold food. He told me that he was sorry and he couldn't do anything about it. I told him that I would never be returning to this location. His response was "that's unfortunate." With customer service like this it will not be long before this location shuts down. BTW I have never seen it busy. read more

I have always enjoyed Carl's Jr. I started So Cal and continued in Boise when I moved there 30 years ago. That is a long time and a LOT of burgers. My kids especially enjoyed the play area until Fauci took it out of service. That has changed the experience drastically but the food is still the same. BTW if you are on the KETO diet, they offer every one of their sandwiches in a lettuce wrapped version and they are great that way. read more

I don't eat at fast food much- but when I do- I will pick a place like this one- as always the nicest people, always very clean (incl bathrooms) & menu includes ability to avoid gluten in buns by requesting lettuce wrapped. They have also been paying t about my speech issues here too. It saddens me to see the other poor reviews... as in the 7+ yrs I've lived here... my 1-2 times a yr here hsve always been lovely (as compared to similar type restaurants.) read more

Ordered a jalepeno burger with extra sante fe sauce and they gave me a nasty watered down burger with no sante sauce. It was like a mixture of 1 percent sauce and 99% water. Very rude guy this morning around 7 in the drive through. I don't think I care to ever go back.

I may regret this review down the road but I'm telling you, I have only had great experiences with this Carl's. I live down the street and eat here once every few months and my food is always freshly cooked and hot. I order the fried chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese. I usually get fried zucchini too and sometimes jalapeño poppers. I use the drive thru and the employees are always friendly and speak clearly when taking my order. I wait a few minutes for my food but I prefer that because I know they're cooking it and not pulling it from under a heat lamp. Thank you Carl's employees for always cooking my zucchini fresh! It's heavenly biting into those things on my short drive home... because I just can't wait. read more

I'm fairly conscientious about not going into restaurants within 30 minutes of closing. When we went into this place at 8pm (with an 11pm) close time on door, I was a little surprised to have to walk around a week floors sign, see the garbages all emptied and the crew in process of cleaning out the back. We ordered nonetheless and the food was delivered quickly and it tasted fresh. 7/6/23: I used to pickup takeout from this location for many years, then the service started to decline. When they discontinued the chicken taco salad, I stopped patronizing Carl's Jr. altogether. Today I went back to try the Diablo burger. Sat in the sun, waiting for someone to take my order. After several minutes and five cars lining up behind me, I drove around to the takeout window. The male at the window asked me why I was there. I told him I was never able to order at the loose. He asked me what I was going to order and i told him. He told me he was alone and I should drive around to the back of the line. He would give me a discount when I ordered. I politely told him "No", and I drove to another restaurant and promptly received my lunch. I don't know if there is a problem with all Carl's Jr.'s or the Eagle location. Look, this is simply one of the worst fast food joints you can eat at. Watch my YouTube video on the chicken sandwich they served me. Amazing anyone on the planet would be proud to serve that. I have gone to this joint since created and it was amazing 20 years ago. It was my favorite. Now the only consistency is bad bad food and average service. Want a chicken sandwich, go to chick filet. Went here for the last time last night! All the buns were crunchy and tasted stale. I paid over $9 for a PROMO guacamole bacon thick burger got one piece of bacon folded in half two burger patties that had been in the warmer since lunch and a teaspoon of guacamole. To top it off it was the size of a jbc at jack in the box which is sold for $1.49....complete waste of time and money. Went next door to taco Del Mar for good food! Wife got chicken strips they weren't horrible but very small and way over priced and to top that all off they were outta all their chicken for their sandwiches. I guess when you're not selling anything because your service and food suck it doesn't make much sense to restock. read more

I've been here a handful of times since they opened long ago. For fast food, it's been edible and satisfied my hunger pains when I was starving and had zero time to drive to and/or wait at a decent place. Other than that, this place is a dump. Dirty floors, dirty tables, dirty surfaces everywhere. Not out of the norm for sodas to be out. Got the last drop of iced tea today. Fry sauce dispenser handle was all sticky and frozen in place. Had to force it down which sprayed fry sauce all over me. Same with the ketchup dispenser. However, it did dispense a small amount of dark red tomato paste. Gross. I could have made a sculpture with it. Today seemed worse than times in the past. The men's bathroom smelled like a high school locker room with wafts of fry and burger grease. From what I remember, the bathrooms have always been dirty and beat up. The people here have always been nice, though. If you eat here, use the drive thru and spare yourself the dining room experience, or lack thereof. read more

Horrible service! We ordered a 2 BACON & egg burritos and 1 country style burrito and received 2 STEAK & egg burritos and 1 country style burrito. When I notified the cashier, who gave us our receipt then ran off, she was already handing me the bag of food. I was the passenger and let her know that our order was incorrect and she looked at my husband like she was expecting him to say something. It was weird! She then goes back to have our order corrected and came back to double-check that we wanted 2 BACON & egg burritos and 1 country style burrito. I said yes! We got the corrected order and she handed us some change, which was the difference in price between the steak & egg to the bacon & egg burritos. We thanked her and left. I opened up the order and found only 1 BACON & egg burrito with unmelted shredded cheese. so I ate a cold burrito basically as that is how it tasted. I wouldn't have eaten it hadn't I been so hungry and headed out of town on HWY 55. I'm very sadly disappointed in the service we receive and WOULD not recommend this location to anyone. read more

I went to the Carl's Jr. On Glenwood Street and on State street in Eagle. The one on Glenwood only charged $1.79 for the biscuit and gravy (not the meal). Upon visiting the one on State Street in Eagle and ordered the same they charged me $2.49 for the same item. Upon taking both receipts to the Eagle store they said the owner can charge whatever she wants. I asked if all Carl's item at different locations weren't the same price and I was told NO. This Carls Jr. has truly got to be the WORST Carls that I have ever eaten at! The staff has been very rude to me a number of times, and I just keep giving them another chance thinking....everyone has a bad day! I made the mistake for the last time today quickly entering the drive through thinking it would be a simple experience! Well was I WRONG!! I told the lady at the drive through that I had a coupon code, and she stated she would take it off at the pay window! Well the whole order got messed up after another person who took my order wrong! She ended up TAKING the fries from my bag at the end of the order after she charged me for them! She went into my bag and REMOVED the fries! WOW!! She also charged me for a soda, then did"nt charge for for the soda and forgot to give it too me with my order!! I politely asked her how long this whole ordeal was going to take because i was running late for work, can we please hurry, and she so very rudely stated...well everyone has to work!!
